The flavors just exploded in my mouth in most beautiful way. The textures were perfect. It was so good! My kiddo loved the pancakes, and the peanut dippy thing that came with them was divine. None of the other tables were touched. I had the vegan bacon burger with cheese and fries. Super thick bun, very thin patty. Ratio was way off. Didn't even taste the bacon, and it didn't help that it was cool, which I think dampened the flavors which were were at this point non-existent. The burger was very mediocre. I have eaten hundreds of burgers in my life, and many were meatless, this does not rank in the upper half. The fries however rocked. They were freshly cooked and very flavorful. Nice crunchy exterior. Overall it was a disappointment. I love to visit local vegan spots and this seemed like it would be a hit based on the reviews. Unfortunately that was not my experience. To a carnivore like me, salads are typically just the app or first course, but as a vegetarian meal everything was a salad. We started with a family-style plate of various (yellow, red, and roma) tomatoes and fried okra. I found out veggie dishes can be fried! The third course of roasted potatoes and red peppers along with a cool yet spicy red pepper hummus. This contained my usual veggie plates so it was easily my favorite! Main course was a piece of eggplant parmesan with just the right amount of tomato, cheese and a side of wild rice. I ate most of the eggplant "meat" but left the skin.
