Chicken Shawarma Pocket and Cilantro Falafel & Lemon Tahini MEZZE
    Graciela L.

If you're around Brickell, and specially if you work around the area, and craving something fresh, balanced, Happeas is a superb spot. We tried the Chicken Shawarma Pita Pocket, and it clearly is better than any other sandwich option. The soft pita wraps around warm, creamy hummus (honestly one of the best in the city), pickled red cabbage, Mediterranean pickles, and that well-seasoned chicken shawarma. The mix of lemon tahini, mango aioli, a touch of spicy relish, caramelized plantains, and roasted red pepper sauce gives it a really layered flavor without feeling heavy. Everything works together, and nothing competes. We also had the Cilantro Falafel Bowl, which comes with a base of hummus and lemon cabbage salad. The falafel with lemon tahini is crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the bowl is packed with roasted cabbage, cherry tomatoes, English cucumbers, chickpeas, pickles, pickled red cabbage, and pita wedges. It's simple, very fresh, and filling in a clean way. One thing that stands out at Happeas is the personalized attention, you actually feel taken care of, and there's a good chance you'll meet the owner while you're there. The vibe is relaxed, not rushed, and they've thought about small details, like having a self-serve water machine with still and sparkling options, which is a nice touch. Overall, Happeas delivers honest, well-made food with flavors that feel intentional but not overdone. Great spot for a quick lunch that doesn't taste like a compromise.

Happea's made me happea! (I had to) Been wanting to try this place for a while but never got the chance. Today, I was walking to meet some friends and I passed by it and I was determined to try it. I got the kale salad and added tomato and grilled chicken. So delicious and fresh. The chicken was well cooked and the kale had the right amount of crispness. The service was wonderful and the decor is cute. Love the summery colors. Will for sure be back to try other things on the menu

Happea's is a healthy fast food option in Brickell located on S Miami Ave near Tap and The Vue. This location offers many quick food options that are both healthy and tasty! The counter is self service which allows for a seamless order! They offer pita pockets and bowls ranging from vegan, vegetarian, and meat options. The service is always great and the food is made quickly! The bowls are compostable and they have a water station to help yourself! There's ample seating both inside and outside and gives a laid back feel, but I suggest coming early to beat the lunch traffic!

I love how the food is always so fresh here, even the hummus is made to order. I dine here solo a couple times a week, perfect little quiet spot to get a little work done and feel like I've done something good for my body. Nowhere else are you attended to so well, they ask you as soon as you walk in if you've been there before and offer assistance with the point of sale. I always feel appreciated here as a customer as well.

Chicken bowl, pita, and oven roasted egg plant side

I was heading to another local Miami restaurant but passed Happea's and thought this would hit the spot-and it did. I wanted compare it Cava but that just CAN'T compare. I took a chance and tried the oven roasted eggplant tahini side bowl. It had a creamy savory flavor. Additionally the pita--omg-- the PITA, it was like biting into a warm fluffy cloud! Definitely get the pita! Additionally my chicken bowl tasted amazing and so fresh. The hummus that came with it paired amazingly and had a perfectly creamy texture. The sweet potatoes also added a nice touch of soft creamy sweetness to the dish. Side note: NO PLASTIC dining utensils or plates were served. This was refreshing if you are mindful of avoiding plastic with the growing research coming out about microplastics. The bowls and cups were so aesthetic all metal (?) gold and silver. Definitely give Happea's a try if you want some fresh health conscious delicious tasting Mediterranean.

So I have been seeing Happea's all over IG, and finally got a chance to try it at an workout I went to at Studio Three. One bite of the Sabich - which is a lemon cabbage salad, roasted eggplant, and a medium boiled egg and I was already hooked. Fast forward to one week later, and I had to order Happea's again. I opted for the Chicken Power Bowl which comes with roasted mushrooms caramelized onions, roasted sweet potato, pickled red cabbage and pita. THe base is quinoa, but as I was obsessed with Sabich I subbed it for the quinoa. It also comes with grilled chicken and hummus. The hummus can be subbed, but as it says on the order it would be a BIG MISTAKE. The hummus is probably one of the best I've had in a while, and with all those veggies and pita it is absolutely divine. There is no lack of bowl / sandwich options in Miami, but one thing that stood out to me about Happea's is how delicious, authentic and homemade everything tasted. You can tell the folks here take pride in their food - it's colorful, filled with flavor, and most importantly a great value for the portion size. I cannot wait to eat my way through this menu. Will be hard for me to not order the Sabich, but there are so many mezze's, pockets, bowls and salads to choose from. Last but very much importantly not least - YOU NEED to get the Spicy Relish. They have a bunch of different sauces made in house, but this spicy relish is ELITE! I do not know what is in it, but as someone who loves spice and acidity this vinegary spicy goodness is just too wonderful not to add to everything. Can't wait to try more Happea's.

The cilantro falafel pocket was excellent. The falafel was freshly made and quite good. For a healthy option I felt like I was eating a high class meal. The only issues I had were the pocket was small for the price and it took over 30 minutes to make despite the restaurant not being busy (only 3 other customers). Otherwise it's in the heart of Brickell and a great lunch option. Has cute decorations and covered outdoor seating. I would definitely come back (as long as the service is a little quicker!)

Delicious first lunch in Miami! I got the lunch special, a chicken shawarma pita pocket (half) and a side (I got the marinated beets) and it was the perfect size and great price. The beets were delicious and so was the shawarma. The pita was warm and doughy, and the whole meal was 5/5 to me. It was quick, the space is gorg, and it was the perfect temp to sit outside without sweating! I'm hooked, I wish they had this in Tampa!

Was so excited to try this place and wanted to love it but I ordered on Uber eats and the portion is so small for the price. 25$ for a bowl of chicken shawarma with hummus? The bowl was half the size of the bowl I get at naked farmer for 20$, the chicken was super dry and flavorless, I put salt on the hummus and it still barely had flavor, it was healthy but a bit underwhelming....

Absolutely the best place. Healthy food cooked like in your mom's kitchen. The only thing I can suggest add a happy hour! All places around you have one. And please bring back avocado toast. It was the best

Quick stop for lunch while visiting Miami. You Order at the counter, they have both outdoor & indoor seating. I rarely eat Mediterranean food but my hubby does. I found something to eat - crispy chicken schnitzel. It was very good! Served fast, hot & fresh. I don't have much to compare it to but I enjoyed!

This place is so consistently good. I'm obsessed with everything on the menu and would eat happeas for every meal if I could. The pitas are so soft, veggies so fresh, and meat and other fillings so flavorful. The fries are tasty and crunchy but soft. The happeas sauce is like a better spicy mayo. Service quick and nice too. Ambiance for eating in is very nice for a fast casual place but I usually order through uber eats and the food still stays good. Live love happeas.

    Chicken shawarma pita
    Meg C.

Healthy, flavorful chicken shawarma pita in a nice, fast casual setting. You order at a kiosk and grab a pager, so most of the setup is self-serve. They have outdoor seating and a water machine, which was a plus for me. It took a bit longer than I was expecting to get our food given there was only one other customer there, but the pita was worth it. The textures and flavors exceeded my expectations - I really liked the crunchy pickles and beets, and the plantain really balanced out the acidity and spice - wish there was more than one in the pita. I was impressed with how tasty and fluffy the pita itself was, and it held up well to all the toppings and sauces. They smartly put greens at the bottom to prevent it from getting too soggy. Solid spot for a quick, healthy, cheaper mediterranean meal in Miami.

I enjoyed the show occasionally as a guilty pleasure, but I'm really not big into the whole reality TV does dining type of thing, however my hubs has had Hell's Kitchen on his must eat list for years. We never made it to the one in Vegas last year, so I thought Id treat him to lunch at this yesterday after a work event he was honored at. After yesterday's experience, I have no problem admitting I was wrong and will wholeheartedly walk that sentiment back. Hell's Kitchen impressed me, which if you've read my reviews isn't always an easy thing to do. The food flavors were all on point, service was exceptional, and the coursing time hit the mark from start to finish. The only reason this is 4 stars and not 5, is hubby's main was not very hot. There were only a handful of tables at the time so that element was a bit disappointing. I opted for Miami Spice, and hubs picked the Express lunch which comes out to a better deal for what he ordered. We never had to look for a server for water, and they were really accommodating in adjusting my order (I have to have sauces on side and low salt right now because of a health issue). On to the main event, the meal! Drinks: Strawberry & Mint Spritz: This N/A bev sounded interesting on paper but neither of us super enjoyed it. It was just a little too syrupy sweet. I love that they're using N/A prosecco and apertivos though and not just putting a bunch of juice and sodas in a cup and calling it a mocktail. If we ever make it back I'd be up for trying a different one on the list or a real deal cocktail. Caesar salad: This was a generous portion with delicate parmesan crisps and large crunchy croutons. The limited amount of dressing I did use was delicious and perfectly balanced. I skipped most of the croutons as they were too salty for me, but probably perfect for the average Joe. Carrot soup: My guy enjoyed this thoroughly, and stopped short of licking the bowl. I tried it, but it wasn't my cup of tea. The presentation was lovely. Crispy Skin Salmon: This was my choice from the Miami Spice menu. It's miso marinated and served with a crispy sushi rice cake, sautéed baby bok choy, and a miso beurre blanc which they put on the side for me. I asked for the fish to be cooked well done, and they nailed that. It was perfection on the tongue and still delicate and moist in spite of being fully cooked. The skin was expertly crisp as well and really tasty. The only negative of this dish was the oil factor. Salmon is oily on its own, but this plate was dripping from the rice cake to the bok choy, and that's omitting the beurre blanc entirely. Speaking of, everything was so flavorful on its own that the dish carried itself without any extra salt or sauce. I did try the beurre blanc with a few bites though and it was nice. Petit Beef Wellington: Aside from not being hot enough, hubby overall enjoyed this. He prefers a lumpy skin on mash, but I thought the mash purée was divine. We just both wish it was hotter when it came out. Cherry Blossom Cheesecake: I haaaate that almond extract taste found in cherry cordials, and this was loaded with it from my one bite. Thankfully I didn't order this. Hubs did, and loved it! Also the plating was beautiful! Sticky Toffee Pudding: Was this the best STP I've ever had? No. Was it enjoyable? Absolutely! In hindsight, I wish hubs had gotten the 2 course express menu and split this dessert with me because it's full size and a massive overload of sugar for one person. I barely ate a quarter and ended up in a sugar coma the rest of the day. Would I still order it again? You bet your sweet ass! To wrap this up, this was a surprisingly enjoyable meal. The check still packed a punch though at $150 for two with one mocktail. Overall I do think it's a great pick for a nicer meal with upscale British and European favorites with a global inspired twist.

The interior is crisp and clean and bright. Definitely a standard I'd expect from HK. I had a lunch special which included app, entree and dessert. Everything was delicious. The salad was so good. The flavor was so good for a simple salad. The burger was a great size, full of flavor and well balanced. The sticky toffee pudding was the best part overall but that also might be because I'd never had it. Wonderful experience, and the Gordon screen at the entrance is too fun.

We started with the Korean ribs, sticky fried rice bites topped with tuna, chicken tenders, calamari, and shrimp & pork dumplings. The standout appetizer was definitely the dumplings, which we'd gladly order again. The ribs were tender, though the gochujang sauce may be a bit overpowering for those who aren't fans of bold umami flavors. Fortunately, that's right up our alley. The calamari was also cooked perfectly with a great texture. Our server, Isa, was fantastic throughout the evening. She kept our drinks topped off, checked in consistently without being intrusive, and made several great recommendations that helped guide our selections. For our main dishes, we sampled a variety of items. The filet was cooked properly but could have used a bit more seasoning. It paired nicely with the mashed potatoes and mushrooms. All of our steaks were cooked to the requested temperature, which is always appreciated and not something every restaurant consistently gets right. The tortellini was another solid choice, featuring a flavorful cream sauce that paired well with the added grilled chicken. Unfortunately, the Korean beef bibimbap was the biggest disappointment of the evening. It lacked flavor, and the rice at the bottom of the bowl was overly burnt and crispy from the residual heat. To finish the meal, we shared the crème brûlée cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding. The cheesecake was a great ending to the meal, while the sticky toffee pudding reminded us somewhat of a molten chocolate cake and was equally enjoyable. Overall, there were more hits than misses, and we'd return to explore more of the menu.
