Cozy vegan spot. The nachos had a vibrant, refreshing creamy sauce. The cocinita bowl was a great taste of Cuban food: fresh and more flavorful than you'd expect, with perfectly fried plantains. The waiter was cheerful and friendly and added to the chill vibe of the place. I'm only in Miami briefly and I plan on coming back before we leave the city. Big recommend for traveling vegans.

I was initially skeptical going to The Cocinita Miami as it's a vegan spot but it did get rave reviews & I wanted something (relatively) healthy so I stopped by for lunch. Truth be told, this place 110% lived up to its hype as it was some of the best casual food I've had, honestly. The owner was also incredibly sweet & seemed genuinely happy at whoever stopped by to try this place out. I ordered the empanada operada & kale salad- both were extremely tasty, yes, including the kale salad! The empanada was perfect- I don't know exactly what the dough was made out of but it was seriously perfect. The melted cheese, black beans, plantains...just perfection. The kale salad was also quite tasty & the caesar dressing & homemade sourdough croutons complimented it very well. All in all, whenever I'm back in Miami I'm quite certain I'd stop by here again...& again & again :).

    THE CHORICACHAPA

The Cocina Miami was recommended to us by a sushi chef from Bondi Sushi. When he found out I am vegan, he was excited to talk about one of his favorite vegan restaurants. I had my very first cachapa here at The Cocinita and it was delicious! It's not often that I get to see a vegan version of this Venezuelan cheesy corn cake. Even the Meateater Hubby, who had had the real thing, was impressed with this plant-based option. This Choricachapa was filled with pea protein "sausage" and topped with avocado and cocinta sauce. I was in heaven! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/the-cocinita-miami-miami-3?select=MncJvoiDdHDPYAtwitUeEg We also ordered the Tofu Arepa which came with plantains and avocado. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/the-cocinita-miami-miami-3?select=vUT634jLqI1bKDVbGXPp6w To round out our meal, we had the Empanada Operada which is split open and filled with cheese and any other ingredients. We selected black beans and avocado. There was a tasty sauce in there too. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/the-cocinita-miami-miami-3?select=yJJR6q_3T5tsvLQz7LBC9w When we walked in, we ordered and paid at the tablet. Staff is nice. Dining area is small and casual. I love the garden vibe! There's vertical gardens growing various herbs, greens, and purple flowers. I plan to eat here during future visits to Miami.

This place is awesome! It has cute decor with swing inside! Limited seating but great place to grab a bite. They have kiosks to order and the service was decent. I'm taking off star because 1. the burgers are quite small and 2. they charge for ketchup on your burger However, I love that the food wasn't greasy and tasted great for vegan food. Would definitely return!

Would love to come back!! Located in busy downtown Miami. No parking or parking garage @ $5/20 minutes. Eat in or take out delicious vegan food . Service is friendly. Ambiance is fun, vibrant, beach vibes good for small groups. I loved my vegan kefta & vegan tofu abuelita. Want to try the entire menu as it all looks so good.

We accidentally stumbled upon this restaurant when we discovered that another restaurant was closed near by, and we are so glad that we did! The inside is so adorable with a swing that's perfect for IG photos. The burrito and guacamole burger were both very good. I added a fried egg, which got really messy really quickly, so be aware of that. Otherwise, no issue!

I ordered the falafel burger and special fries. The special fries were incredibly salty and savory. My friend liked them more than I did. The falafel burger was bland, but edible. I enjoyed my friend's food more than mines. The restaurant is the first I've been in where they allow dogs to walk freely. I didn't like it and felt gross. Parking is a challenge.

When I first came to Miami in 2024, it was the first time I really had Venezuelan food. I'm sure some exist in the greater Los Angeles area but because my coworkers are from there, I wanted to get an idea of what's true Venezuelan. It was around that time I was introduced to a cachapa, which is a simple dish of a corn package stuffed with melted cheese. It's such a simple yet delicious dish that is a classic comfort food in Venezuela. We had previously dined at a nearby sushi restaurant and the chef recommended, for vegan option, to go to Cocinita Miami. Upon entering, we ordered from a self serve kiosk and our order would be made. As we were looking through the menu for something more unique than a vegan burger or vegan burrito, I saw something that I never expected to see possibly made vegan: a capacha. I immediately ordered that as I knew it would be something that is very unique that my SO could probably not get easily in Los Angeles. I also decided to try their speciality version called the choricapacha, which was a capacha topped with all sorts of stuff. In this case, vegan sausage was stuffed inside as well and it was topped with avocado slices and chipotle mayo I think. I also ordered the tofu arepas and the empanada operada. The tofu scramble on the arepas was great, but the areapa itself was very crunchy and bland. I don't know if it was overcooked, but it took away from the overall dish and I just ended up eating the scramble. The empanada was probably, oddly, the biggest disappointment because it really just didn't stand out. I think my issue with it was that the outer shell was dry and the way it was stuffed, it didn't really have any moisture. It's not horrible, it was good, just I don't think I'd really call it an empanada. However, that choricapacha, was different. It was soft, full of flavor, delicious, and just a general delight to eat. The one advantage with that dish was because it had so many "fats" on it (between the cheese, mayo, and avocado), I used those to help eat the arepas and empanadas. The service was great and my SO was delighted with the choricapacha. It was a bit too heavy for me, but I would get it again for sure....maybe next time I ask for the mayo on the side. Even though 2 of my entrees weren't the greatest, that choricapacha tells me they know how to make a good vegan entree and I wouldn't mind trying other options next time I'm in town.

What a great little place! In a city full of meat-centric cuisines, it was really exciting to eat at a plant-based joint. I had The Cocinita burger (I always like to go for the menu item named after the place i'm eating in, makes it immersive and inception-y) and fries, and also tried the guac & chips. Everything was stellar. I truly have no notes on the food. The patty was pea protein but tasted very similar to a real beef patty. The fries were hot and super crispy, the way fries should be imo. I had to knock a star due to the extensive wait we had once we were finished with our meals. Our server took a while to check on us after our food arrived, which is fine, but then it took another ~10 minutes for them to check on us again and I think it was pretty obvious we had finished eating. He asked if we needed anything else and we said no thinking we'd be offered the check, but he just said "ok" and smiled and walked away. We sat there for a little while longer before I eventually got up and had to ask if we could get our bills. I assume this person was a manager because I saw them sitting inside working on a laptop, which is where I had to go to get cashed out. Overall a good experience, but just an odd situation at the end.

Great and exciting food with fresh seafood and ingredients. I feel like the prices were quite on the high side for the portions and dishes served. Cocktails were tasty and well balanced

This is a fun lunch spot and a great plant-based option in downtown Miami! It was a short walk from our hotel and had options we were both excited about so we decided to check it out. I was happy that they have a falafel burger on the menu, since a lot of vegan places these days only have meat-esque patties and don't do anything else. While they do have a pea protein patty that my wife said simulated the experience of a real burger well, I'm not a fan of fake meat so it was the falafel burger for me! I did ask for no pickles (one of my only major food icks) and I do believe the server put it in, but the burger came with pickles anyway. Luckily I noticed them before I bit in and was able to remove them, and the taste didn't linger much. Overall (other than the pickles), the burger was delicious. The weight of all that falafel was almost too much for the bun, so I'd recommend avoiding my mistake and flip the burger so that the big bun is on the bottom! The fries were probably the highlight for me. They were crispy and fresh, and served with two mystery dips that were both tasty. We also got the "ahuacamolli" but I was so full that we had to take most of it home. Definitely a good, substantial lunch option for a "meatless Monday" or any other day!

MR MITRANO soooo delicious had it 4 days in a row fries always hot and fresh too

Offer one of the best vegan burgers I've ever had. I could eat at the Cocinita every day.

    KOMBUCHA BY DR.SIMON FIT PEACH

This place is a sneaky contender for being one of the best vegan spots in Miami. It doesn't look like much at first - kind of like a smoothie bar that happens to also serve burgers and burritos - but it's really so much more. We love Latin flavors and also seek healthy, macrobiotic type meals with plenty of beans, grains, and veggies. We were able to get exactly this type of food by customizing some of the classics: the Mexican bowl and the green bowl. They make customizations easy including healthy options like substituting brown rice or quinoa for the white rice. The more we inspected their menu, the more pleasant surprises we discovered, such as the whole grain arepas made with flax and chia seeds and moringa (revolutionary!) and the baked plantains (a rarity). As if the great food weren't enough, we were astonished to find that they carry a hyperlocal kombucha made by Dr. Simon that we have yet to find anywhere else. And it was delicious! We loved the peach flavor and kept going back for more.

I stopped in for lunch after a work meeting and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. I needed a "steak break," so I opted for the "I Can't Believe It's Not Carbonara"--and I have zero noodle regrets! The zucchini substitute combined with a delicious carbonara sauce meant there was no concern about the lack of traditional pasta. The zucchini more than filled the role, and I certainly appreciated the caloric savings. The chicken was also well-cooked, flavorful, and moist. I especially loved the tableside delivery and the unique touch of being served directly from a colander. The order isn't huge, which I appreciated, it felt the right size for lunch without weighing down your afternoon. Now, there were likely no calorie savings with the Serrano Ham Croquettes, but they are small and easily shareable if you want to spread the love. They are a true step up and a legitimate treat compared to run-of-the-mill mozzarella sticks. The decor kitsch continues right until the end--the check arrived in an old-school lunchbox! The staff were great throughout the meal, making for a seamless and enjoyable lunch.

Even on a 90-degree day, they managed the Miami heat flawlessly with an elaborate system of fans. Combined with the evening's natural breeze, it was completely comfortable. It's a great spot for people-watching, and the local Miami talent is definitely on display. I was dining solo and sat at the long bar, where the bartender was friendly and highly attentive. The food completely stole the show. It is not hyperbole when I say I had the best chicken shawarma of my life here. The flavor was unreal. It came with a phenomenal s'chug sauce and a perfectly prepared green pepper. It was so good that I ordered a side of extra hot peppers to keep that incredible heat and flavor rolling throughout the meal. To drink, I tried the Israeli dark lager by Golden --excellent choice at 4.9% and remarkably close in profile to a Negra Modelo. The back of the restaurant features a fairly open kitchen concept, so you can see where all the magic happens. The execution is fast, and the dishes roll out quickly. I came with some friends from out of town and wanted a place that would impress them but still casual enough for them in Brickell. They are unfamiliar with the "social rules" of Miami but Motek seemed to highlight all the negative ones here. The server took one look at us and deemed we were not worthy of his attention, presence, or service. The server was named Sebastien and he was extremely pushy and rude. He was constantly watching us but never came over to speak with us unless we called over another server or busser to get him.
