Maybe it was just the combination of a solid day of drinking with the excitement of stumbling upon a random van of vegan food, but i thought the food was delicious. The buffalo seitan was by far one of the best buffalo anything i've had. i attempted to stalk them out again during my 4-day stay, but no luck. Now i'm left contemplating moving to Denver to be closer to the Vegan Van or offering them a lump sum of cash to relocate to the east coast. My friend got the jackfruit pulled pork sandwich thingie and thoroughly enjoyed it, his only regret was not requesting gluten free bread. Definitely worth a try. Honestly I love all the food options and everything is always so yummy but why offer preordering if we still have to wait 20-30 minutes past the "pickup" time we select why even offer time slots.... I only ordered a potato taco and a breakfast sammich.... this has been happening consistently. Love ya Vegan Van but if people preorder it needs to be ready within 15 minutes of the pick up time. I have been wanting to come here since i moved to Denver from Asheville a year ago. I was hoping i had finally found the one decent vegan/veggie place in Denver. Unfortunately Denver remains devoid of decent american vegetarian restaurants. The Reuben was ice cold! It was very odd. It wasn't a Reuben at all. I was expecting a hot grilled yummy meal, not a sandwich I would have packed for lunch. I may give it another hopeful try. Supposedly open Thursday through Sunday. I see that people are getting food on Instagram but online ordering consistently doesn't work and no one answers the phone. Last Sunday I was told they'd be open Thursday but been trying to order for the third day in a row to no avail. Any information would be great. Update: Owner contacted me and let me know they had some issues but wanted to make it up to us. I insisted that I didn't need anything for free but just wanted to order. She let me know I could pick up something the next day between 1-6 and asked for my order. I messaged her and gave her our order and she was out on a delivery but would be back soon. We drove 30 minutes across town and after a few minutes she arrived. 20 minutes later she came out and greeted us. I let her know who we were and she said she was "slammed" and wouldn't be able to have our order for a few hours. I saw maybe four people come up to order in the 45+ minutes we were there. I couldn't believe it. She offered to get us a delivery later that evening but I wasn't surprised when I didn't hear back from her. Food truck meals take like 10 minutes max to prepare. If this is how they run business I don't get how they are so popular. read more

I finally got to check out the Vegan Van yesterday, and I will definitely be back! I got the Tofufallo sandwich, and it was really good, and very spicy! The cole slaw on the sandwich was delicious. I wish the bread were a little softer and not white, but it wasn't a deal-breaker. I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu! read more

Guys . I got the seasonal grilled cheese and tomato soup since that was my favorite and most missed dish as a non-vegan ... Holy cheeseballs !!!!!!!! Vegan Van is the BEST. Amazing vegan comfort food that we crave on the regular. Their Taco Bell menu is our favorite (Crunchwrap for the win) but every menu they put out is on point. Fresh ingredients and insanely good flavors. We live down in Boulder, so it's a 45 min drive to get up to them and it's worth every second of driving. THAT good!! I have tried so many times to support these guys and leave disappointed every single time. And this dates back to way before covid was even an excuse. I've only successfully walked away with food once from them out of the half a dozen times I've tried to order. The first time we went an hour after they opened and all they had left was corn dogs for breakfast. The second time I went they said they would be open at 1 and I waited at a nearby bar for TWO HOURS for them to reopen. No updates online, no signs on their van, nothing. When they finally did reopen they were impatient and rude, and still didn't have all the items they said they would on their menu. I drove over an hour to come out and show support and left disappointed again. The next time I tried to order online for delivery and they never brought my food. I called two hours later only for them to tell me they could have it to be by dinner time (I ordered it for lunch). If I hadn't called, would they have ever even bothered to let me know they weren't going to bring my food? And the list goes on... I used to follow them on Instagram before I gave up completely and they weren't very nice people, calling out followers and attacking them for getting rightfully upset about their terrible customer service. These guys constantly close unexpectedly, change their hours, and run out of food. I understand it happening once in awhile but it's ridiculous how often it occurs. If you're going to run a food truck, do it right. These guys make the vegan community look bad by their lack of respect for their customers and their utter lack of ability to run a business. I've followed their journey through getting a new truck and I'm sure they live busy lives, but when people are relying on you for food, at some point you have to stop playing the victim and step up and fix your business model. People want to support you but you can't expect support when you have no respect for your customer base. I genuinely hope they turn their business and bad attitudes around in the future. read more

Today I waited an hour to pick up a pre-made Thanksgiving meal. They had accidentally given my meal to a different customer... They did make it up to me by giving me some extra mashed potatoes and gravy! I love the food at Vegan Van - the quality and taste are amazing! The Taco Bell inspired menu is my favorite. Vegans & omnivores agree their food is fire! I came across Vegan Van a year or so ago & I've been obsessed ever since. Some of my favorites are the chubby girl fries, their Cinco de Mayo menu, the potatoes in a blanket, the loaded gun grilled cheese with creamy tomato soup & THE CRUNCHWRAP. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything you get from here. Not only do they have their classic menu, but they keep things interesting by doing special themed menus from time to time such as: Taco Bell, KFC, Cinco de Mayo, Oktoberfest & Arby's. Please be advised, if they're running a themed menu prepare to wait for your food for a bit because these guys have a HUGE following. Also, if there's something you really want to try then make sure to get there early because they'll sell out. When I became vegan two years ago, I truly believed I'd never have another grilled cheese sandwich again. Vegan cheese in general seemed suspect and the taste of Daiya was enough to extinguish my hopes. Then I went to a strange and wonderful event at Brewability which somehow included visiting owls and raptors, silent disco and Vegan Van. I had one of the best tasting grilled cheese sandwiches of my life. I love how Vegan Van supports or connects with local causes and events. The city's first vegan food van is up and operational! Amie brought the van to the University of Colorado-Campus on November 30th when we had the rare opportunity to hear Gene Baur, president of Farm Sanctuary, speak to us. I had the Freak Out, a seitan "meat" ball sandwich with marinara sauce and pesto dressing. It was on a hard roll and came with chips. All for $7. Hard to believe it was vegan! It was WONDERFUL. While her menu is small at this point, I didn't hear a single complaint in the meeting hall. They're on Facebook and you can track where the truck will be next. Even if you're not a vegetarian or vegan, Amie's food will open a whole new world to you. read more

It's definitely a trick to pull off certain items as a vegan option, but this girl does it well! I got the daily special... which I can't recall the name of... but it was delicious! It was a chili type lentil mash served on a a delicious roll with slaw on top. My husband got the Planet Rock - (Tofu strips with spicy ranch celery with the slaw on roll) and it was also fabulous, had a spicy buffalo wing flavor! We thought she did a wonderful job with the popcorn as a side, it's hard to make a tasty popcorn in the absence of butter and she pulled it off! read more

They have made Mexican food, Taco Bell menu & KFC! They collab with other vegan restaurants to bring us more options.
