Anyone who thinks about what money they have for food for the week should avoid this place at all costs. Only reason I gave it 2 stars was because the food wasnt bad. But the price I paid for it did not make me happy or satisfied with the food. In an apartment that is mostly for college students, $6 for a POTATOE taco is criminal. Food is average, service is average, and ambiance is basically like a empty 7/11. Maps took us to the wrong place initially, but we figured out where they were. The van looked closed, but we called and they were open INSIDE the mar! Oh WOW, EVERYTHING was AMAZING!!! We had a Crunchwrap, spicy chicken sandwich, tots, corn dog, salad and fries. This was such fantastic food, and the pizza place next door was all vegan too, even though from the signage it was hard to tell. We will DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!! Wanted to try this place for a while and I am terrible at stalking food trucks but the stars aligned and I happened to pass by it yesterday. Great menu -- everything sounded delicious. I had the Royale with Cheese -- really tasty. Their vegan burger was delicious and had a great texture. Also tried the Chubby Fries -- yums but a little too spicy for me tbh. Super friendly staff. Even in COVID the Vegan Van is up and running. They have a QR Code menu available. Once my order was placed I was able to sit in my car and wait for it to be delivered.the order taker was friendly and wore a mask and gloves. When my order arrived everything was perfect temperature wise. The chile reňos were nice and crispy. The flavor was so good. One side was Mexican rice, it was good. The other one was refried beans had a nice heat to then. I put my tomatoes and lettuce over the reňos. The food is so flavorful you don't even miss the meat in anything. read more

Vegan van is one of the best ideas I have ever heard of!! Every week they remake a fast food restaurant menu and make the food completely vegan. We got to try it during Taco Bell week and OH. MY. This place is awesome, sometimes. Order ahead and expect it to be about 10-15 minutes late, even when not busy. I heard a lot about this place and their rotating menu, but I can't say I've seen it rotate often. About 90% of the time I check, it may as well be Vegan Taco Bell & McDonalds. There's been a small few times they changed it up, but when they do it's a real treat. If I could see more of a menu change I'd go all the time, but unfortunately any time I check back it's just Taco Bell & McDonalds again. Vegan Van, I am so sorry to write a reveiw with 2 stars. Attended JLSF event June 30th 2012 @ Denver Design District, ordered "The Slop" which was named as Cosmic Slop ($8). This "Slop" consists of IPA BBQ Pulled Jackfruit "PORK" with slaw on roll and one of the Vegan "Chicken Wings" which was named as "WING MY BELL". The "Vegan Wings" consists of Buffalo Seitan Wings, Celery, Carrot and Ranch ($5). My order of the Cosmic Slop was not to my liking at all. Though I cant deny there are "chunks" of Jackfruits in the Cosmic Slop. The Jackfruits was "tasteless". The Cosmic Slop also comes with popcorn though I feel, the popcorn was slightly "stale" to my tastebud. The "Wing My Bell" was very tough to chew and it was so loaded with Buffalo sauce that made my appetite held to a STOP. Wowww this is so amazing. I wish I had one near my house! The food is really great. I can't believe they had vegan corn dogs. I love corn dogs and these were just magical. They weren't even greasy or oily... I'm not sure what sorcery they use to fry these or bake these, but it's perfect. We got one of everything on the menu that day and it was all great. The wait was a little long, about 20-25 mins, but totally worth it. I would have waited longer. The staff was super friendly. I just love how the van looks like it's from the 60s. read more

A bowl of mashed potatoes with corn, gravy, vegan cheese and unstripped/unmassaged kale with flavorless breaded tofu. I really love Vegan Van- the food is great but their lack of respect for their customers has grown over time. I ordered food today at noon- and the quoted delivery time was 1:15pm, which was fine. At 1:15 I received a text saying the food wouldn't be delivered until possibly 2:30- 2.5 hours after ordering. I explained that notifying a customer over an hour after they ordered that the delivery could take up to 2.5 hours was a little much. The response I got was "Like I said, we're sorry for the late update. We do not guarantee a delivery time. We've made that clear on our website and social media. If you prefer a refund we can do that but right now we have 50+ other orders we are also trying to get taken care of" There is nothing on the website when you order that says delivery times vary significantly, or could be 2.5 hours out- If that was the case I wouldn't have chosen delivery. The order I placed was a part of the 50+ orders, and they made it seem as if other orders were more important after I made a valid complaint. I have waited over the quoted time patiently on multiple occasions with no complaints, but lately the disregard and lack of respect for customers is too much. A lot of the negative reviews are based around long wait times. I hope in the future they develop a better system. Food is fantastic, but after todays experience I won't be returning. Update: After posting this review I immediately received this text message from Vegan Van "Thanks for the review! Please don't order from us anymore. Vegan Van has disappointed me time and time again with their unreliable customer service. For Thanksgiving I ordered a meal in advance with a precise pick up time. After driving an hour to pick up my meal, I checked their IG page and there was a post with a message that they ran out of food. I didn't think it meant for preorders but when I showed up, there is a line of at least 20 people waiting to pick up preorders. I've never in my life had to wait for a pre order longer than 10 minutes. However, people were waiting over 45 minutes. Finally, I went up to ask for my refund because I had to get back to my family. We were having our family dinner that night. When I approached them for a refund and asked them why the inconvenience, they said, "We had a lot of last minute orders and some mix ups." Poor organization and a bad business management is basically their motto. To top it off they couldn't issue me a refund at that time because they didn't have their computer? What type of business is this? Oh and I forgot, not one single apology. I've supported Vegan Van in the past because it's important to support small businesses. They're food good is good but not worth the poor management. Response to Vegan Van: It's easy to make excuses Vegan Van. Your adjustments would have not made it right for my family. As I stated above we were having dinner that night. Delivering a meal at 11:00 PM that night or the next day wouldn't have helped. Of course I was upset, I had to figure out something different for my family dinner. Also, if your business was organized, I would have received my pre paid meal, on time, resulting in never having a bad experience. Please learn to apologize and take feedback. Apologizing with a bunch of excuses behind it negates the apology. Please see photos attached to this review to see an extension of their lack of professionalism and poor customer service. Food trucks generally are not the best places for finding vegetarian let alone vegan eats. This one offers exclusively vegan foods which are wonderful. We encountered them at the VegFest in Golden, CO. They were run a down to earth food truck serving up some of the best food we had there. We had their "Don't Be A Brat" homemade Seiten bratwurst and also had the "Wrap Me In Your Arms" - Vegan Cesar Salad, Tofu Buffalo Wings, wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla and it was our favorite of the day. Reading other reviews there are complaints about the wait times from ordering to picking up food. Although this is a "food truck" it's not "fast food". It ia well prepared very tasty food, in our opinions well worth the wait. When we ordered they told us it would be 20 - 30 minutes and they delivered on time most deliciously. When at events in the Denver region you can bet we will be looking to see if the Vegan Van is there. If so, that's where we will be dining. read more

I had a burger from Vegan Van last night, and it was great! I'm newly vegan, and this burger was the burger that came closest to tasting like a regular old meat burger. I was very happy! I had the regular fries, which were very good, and my friend had the chubby girl fries, which were also very good (but not for you if you don't like spice at all). The only less than amazing experience I have had here was the first time I was here -- ordered food for pick up at 6pm and it wasn't ready until around 6:45. Luckily was not in a hurry but not ideal if you are in a hurry. ASIDE FROM THAT, every other experience I have had has been great and the food more than made up for that first experience. I've had their Taco Bell inspired menu (the Crunchwrap is out of this world), their 'wings,' and a few other things I can't think of off the top of my head. Finally got to try Veganvan at Vegfest 2018. It seems like Veganvan has limited times of when they're out serving yummy foods, so this was like a rare thing! We ordered the Royal burger with Chubby Girl fries, mini corn dog, and bbq seitan wings. Delicious!! The wait is a bit long, i noticed the food van is quite small, so this may be why!
