I called the company and received the number for Hector Santiago. He came out to my house and gave me a fair estimate. The problem is that the work that was done was done by unlicensed contractors, and that when I had made the purchase for the roofing tiles, Hector Santiago use the company Vegas born roofing to place the order, and I just went and purchased them. I did look at the tiles beforehand to see if they were the right color, and they were. The tiles that Hector brought over were not the ones that I had originally purchased. Likely what had happened was that they came to my house and gave me older tiles or tiles from another property not the same ones that I had purchased directly from Gulf eagle supply. When I called the owner of the company, he told me that we never did anything, but I do have photos of his people working on my roof. As a result of this, I have been receiving many HOA complaints since the roofing tiles do not match and I've been receiving fines. When I called the owner, he simply deferred blame. I know that the employees were not licensed because when I had asked them, they told me that they did not have the proper licensing, and that their roofing experience was limited. I don't know where to begin...We received several estimates from various roofing companies to have our roof redone and all came in at around the same price. However, we decided to go w/ Vegas Born Roofing for several reasons: 1) Tommy (Service Manager) who originally came out to do the estimate was on time, courteous and professional 2) He did a thorough examination of our roof and made recommendations and only what was needed 3) You could tell he had experience at this and clearly knew his business. 4) Every step and timeline Tommy said would happen did, exactly as promised 5) He always returned our calls/texts promptly. When it was time for the install rain was forecasted, but Tommy said they would evaluate and move the date out if there was any change or risk of damage in the interim to the roof. His team arrived on time as promised and operated like a well oiled machine. Efferin and his team were true professionals who worked from sun up to sun down to complete the job on schedule. The second day the storm moved in and Efferin and his team completed the roof as promised -- even working through the rain--these guys were incredible! Tommy and his team are amazing. They redid our roof at the end of 2021 and we've had no issues with it. We are buying a new house and they were able to inspect the roof on the new house with short notice and were even able to make a minor repair that was needed. Chase Thometz came to my house I showed where my roof leak was. He told me he wanted to do an inspection of the whole roof. I told him no, only where the roof leak was. Never came back or knocked on my door to explain anything about my roof leak estimate. He drove off in his truck. Chase Thometz was very unprofessional and rude. When I needed a new roof 2 years ago, I got 3 quotes. Vegas Born Roofing was not only the lowest, they were the company I trusted the most. Tommy oversaw the work and it was done quickly and professionally. This summer I had a leak after a downpour. Tommy again came out and spent almost 2 hours identifying the issue. Vegas Born Roofing stood by their warranty and fixed the leak quickly at no cost. They also covered the expense of removing and reinstalling solar panels over the leak. There was an area on the roof of my patio that when it rained it seemed that all the water went to one spot then flowed down to my yard and would flood the area below. I didn't have any leaks and this wasn't an emergency repair, but it was an issue I needed to address because it was creating a hole under my patio - I'm guessing water erosion - anyway, I needed to get it repaired. I called three roofing companies to get an answer as to what was causing this as well as a quote to repair. All companies were taken from Yelp - all had highly rated reviews. The three companies all came to the same conclusion as to the cause (which was great!) and I got three different quotes. Vegas Born was the middle quote - closer to the highest quote than the lower one. I like the lowest quoter but I was worried that they didn't have the proper insurance. I don't worry about that for certain repairs but when it comes to the roof, when someone could fall and get seriously injured, I wanted to work with a company that has insurance. The other, highest quote, from Desert Valley, was, for me, a waste of time. The person that came out just wanted to sell me a new roof. He was a salesman. He may know how to repair roofs, but he came out as a salesman ... roofing tile books and all - before even looking at my roof. Once I decided to hire Vegas Born the process went smoothly. I made my deposit, they scheduled my repair and once that date arrived, the repair was completed in two days! It was nice to work with a company whose office is just as professional and pleasant as their roofers. We've had some rain "storms" since my repair was completed and all is working as it should. My only note to any homeowner and to Vegas Born ... please consider laying a tarp down before removing any wood. The amount of little pieces or splinters of wood left over after the repair was a bit too much, especially when I have dogs that use that area of the yard. Thankfully, the got all the nails. I think putting a tarp or plastic down before the work started would have saved some time, a whole lot of mess and a little aggravation of constantly having to pick up these pieces! Even with that one side note, I would definitely use and recommend Vegas Born for any roofing repair needs! read more

I have required the services of this roofing company and they have written two estimates on my home. Went back the second time to make sure they did it right. When I called them to explain on the estimate or proposal that they only had 1 year on workmanship and wanted 50% down, I was told this by the contractor's board, that it's 4 years on workmanship and by law you only have to put 10% down or $1000 whichever is greater. They apparently didn't like that and when I called for them to do the work, they refused to do my work. I was treated horribly, and they said no on the job. They refused because I questioned them on the law. So, anyone out there that they only gave you a year or two warranty on workmanship they are wrong, and you can go after them through the Contractor's Board to straighten them out. I'm in need of my roof to be done and I was just going by the law. read more

Vegas Born Roofing was low bid for my roof repairs. I liked that I was using a small, local business to do the work. Without exception, from the office personnel to the estimator to the guys who worked on my roof, everyone was pleasant, polite and helpful. The bid was attractive, the work was done reasonably quickly, and the workers cleaned up fallen nails, broken tiles and everything else daily after finishing and once the job was complete. Vegas Born was not low bidder but I don't like problems and they had solid Yelp reviews so I went with them. What a mistake. Their estimate was for my reroofing project to take 4/5 days but it took them 10 days to complete (initially). Then I had a list of unacceptable completed work, they agreed with my list and the rework took 3 more days. Supervision of their work crew is lacking. A so called "superintendent" stopped by twice to deliver materials but he never once set foot on my roof to investigate how his crew was doing. And no one ever has returned to inspect the 3 days of rework. Vegas Born finally did call asking for the rest of their money and when I told them I still had complaints I was told that my standards are too high, that it's only a roof. So, friends if you don't care how long your roofing project takes and don't care what it looks like when it's done then Vegas Born is for you. read more

I decided to go solar on my really old house (by Vegas standards it's ancient), and I needed a new roof and an electrical upgrade before any of that could happen. The solar company contracted out the projects and included them in my costs. I had zero say in who would be doing the work, so I kind of just crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. It must have worked, because Vegas Born has been amazing from start to finish. Every person that I dealt with from the scheduler to the team leader to the crew that did all the hard labor was friendly, straightforward, and genuinely helpful. They were awesome about checking in with me, addressing any and all concerns that I had, and went waaaaay out of their way to make the whole experience surprisingly lovely. The best part is that my roof looks phenomenal! I didn't think I would feel one way or another about the roof because it isn't something I generally even notice, but I'm feeling super house-proud right now. He was very informative and friendly to work with. Great comms, the whole process was quick. Tommy came back and took me up on the roof to go over everything they did. Miguel and the guys took about twelve trash bags full of pine needles off the roof, and carried out small repairs where necessary. It was spotless afterwards. Called on a Thursday morning and got a return call Friday afternoon. Told they would be out to give estimate on Monday between 9am-12pm. Called at 11:30 to say "if you don't mind I will be there around 1 pm or so". Umm, I do mind! Maybe would've been a different story if I got the call earlier so my whole day wasn't waisted. There are plenty of companies out there who are willing to keep an appointment and show up when promised. My time is just as valuable. The very next day a technician came out and gave me a very fair estimate. Their office staff went above and beyond and were incredibly kind. I called Vegas Born Roofing to investigate the cause of a small leak in my kitchen. Tommy arrived and declared the roof (which Dunn & Dean had replaced 7 years prior) was in excellent condition and he couldn't find any problem with the roof. Then he volunteered to go into the attic "just to see what might be causing the problem" Sure enough, Tommy found a disconnected pipe which is probably left over from the piggy-back refrigeration/evaporative A/C unit which was originally installed and has been replaced with a straight refrig unit. Tommy said if there is leakage the next time it rains (if that ever happens!) to call him so he can look in the attic again to see where the water is coming from.
