During the rain earlier this year, we discovered a leak. First of all, I'd like to say these guys were professional from the start. From the first phone call I made till the end of the job. Their price for a complete teardown was excellent. They didn't ask for NO MONEY down for any kind of deposit or whatever you other roofing companies want to call it. They get paid after the job even though I was willing to give them a 10% deposit, which is the most you are allowed to give to any kind of contractor according to a NRS law that was put into effect in 2023. So for you other roofing companies that want to charge a 50% down payment or whatever you roofing companies want to call it, unless you have a certain bond called a RESIDENTIAL IMPROVEMENT BOND FOR THE PROTECTION OF CONSUMERS you are NOT ALLOWED BY LAW to ask for any kind of deposit more than 10% of the estimate. People , you can easily check if they have that bond or not by just looking up their license number. So Christa from Discount Roofing was excellent as far as communication. They did exactly what I wanted on my roof as far as materials go. They have a great crew.They got here at 6 AM and worked nonstop and finished my job by 3 PM. There were five people in the crew. All of the crew were very respectful to my wife. They moved all of her plants and covered up all of the other plants, including my neighbors yard. They put everything back the way they were. They cleaned up all of the debris from my yard and driveway and also cleaned up my neighbors yards. They did not stop working except for one short lunch break. I would recommend this company to anybody. Please do not pay attention to the negative reviews from the other people about this company. I have multiple complaints about this company. They are terrible at communication. They refused to tell us what was wrong with our roof and said they would only tell the warranty company and then the warranty company could decide what to do and what to tell us. I think that's absurd. They should be able to disclose what they found on my roof as I am the homeowner paying for the warranty in the first place. I have dealt with this warranty company multiple times and their contractors have never refused to tell us what the issues were that needed to be repaired. They also never told us when they were going to come back to fix their findings after their initial inspection. They said they would call us back once the warranty company approved the repairs and they never did. All of a sudden they just showed up at our house and climbed on our roof without any notice! We weren't home at the time and my mom was home alone in our house and suddenly started hearing hammering and whatnot above her and was very frightened! I called them to see if they were on our roof and the woman who answered the phone was insanely rude. She might be the most condescending person I've ever talked to. She said it was impossible that we didn't get called before they came out and I told her I was looking at my call log and so was my husband and neither of us had any voicemails or even calls logged from them since the first time they came out to inspect our roof. She wouldn't believe me and then left me on hold for some time while she "verified." She then came back and must have realized they did indeed drop the ball because she finally stopped arguing, but she never apologized she just said, "I'm not sure why they didn't call you." Any halfway decent person would say, " I apologize for the miscommunication, someone should have notified you of our arrival." I refrained from making this review at the time because my husband was scared they would retaliate while fixing our roof. read more

They got the job done in less than three days tearing down the old shingles and patio cover lumber, and replacing everything. WOW! I'm a Realtor & had a house scheduled to close on 9/23/17 but under writer of course wanted the shingles repaired prior to funding & gave me this condition on 9/19/17 (3 days notice). So I called 6 roofing companies & there schedule was 2-3 weeks out... Crap what do I do, I got a referral to call T** Roofing who quoted me $1000 & he can fix it Thursday AM 9/21 (re-inspection scheduled 9/23). All I got was excuses it's too windy & the inspector is late signing off on permit so it never got repaired . It is 9/23 at 10:47 AM I have till 2PM to get the roof done or it will not fund! I called them and they told me to email them and they'll get back to me within a day or the next morning. 3 days pass, and I send a follow up; then, they get back to me. I needed a skylight removed that was leaking, and didn't want another one, so they removed the skylight and replaced it with good ole roof...can't really tell where the skylight was when you look from the outside as the shingles look to match pretty good...I'll know more when I can get my large self up on the roof....and while it hasn't rained, hopefully when it does the new roof section will keep rain out my house unlike before with the skylight... Discount Roofers was receptive and quick to come by and give me a competitive quote / estimate, and well over a month later, after checking with 4-5 roofers, I called them up and they honored the price even though the quote, like every other contractor, is only good for 30 days, which was great, because with the way inflation is raising prices faster than speedy Gonzalez on crack, you never know... They got me scheduled quickly, even though I told them I was flexible with my date, as it was not an emergency, but they still got it done quickly, and cleanly... haven't found a nail yet, and I was missing one shingle right on the spine of my house, and mysteriously, it was replaced... ; ) ... While on vacation we had a til fall from the edge trim in the middle of our garage fortunately missing my wife's car. When we arrived home it was about 3am and we didn't notice until the morning when we finished unloading our truck. Made a call to Discount Roofing and they came out a day or two later and not only accessed the obvious but did a check of the total roof finding a few broken clay shingles. They sent me a quote to replace the necessary shingles which we accepted and they put us on their calendar at the earliest possible date. They showed up on time, complete the job and also answered some questions I had for future work pertaining to solar panel installation. Now they don't do solar panels but they have worked with a number of the solar companies and explained what they would recommend for a good solar installation which we are considering next year. A day or two later getting out to do the project than our original appt but with all of the crazy high winds that have hit the valley, they are having other emergencies pop up. They had to tear off part of my roof , replace it and then we had them do other small repairs like broken tiles and such. no problem with quote, no problem with the install, even didn't mind all the nails I have found laying all over for the last year, but every time I got a hard rain I would get a leak... had him out 2 times to check it, 1 times sent a guy out to add some flashing tar, still leaking... after over a year of this I finally hired someone else to fix what they refused to fix. The transition for the high pitched roof to the shallow pitch roof was a Dip that was on his side of the roofing installation and that was done AFTER and the people who came out to fix it right pointed out that there was no flashing, just some cracked dried tar letting the water pool int he dip and flood over the seam on the side of the roof Discount installed... I guess having him do the main roof to a different roof let him use it as an excuse to avoid fixing it, but I never let the new people know who or what was up and they pointed out exactly what it was... Discount Roofers didn't do the chimney right... call it short cuts or a means to remain a discount service.. I guess you get what you pay for, 2 years I have been dealing with this and his dodging of repairs... new guy fixed it with metal flashing and removed the low spot... read more

Well got a quote 2 quotes, one for just my house and one for my house patio cover and detached studio. $3800 for the house and $1600 for the patio/studio. I decided with the holiday and just the Patio/studio leaking I would do the projects separately and take care of the house in the spring. Terry came back out and I explained my plan. I thought we were good but then I get an email with a new quote adding on an additional $500 for the patio/studio (now $2100). Krista explained that the added cost was to pay to dispose of the materials and for gas because I am way out in Henderson! seriously! I am a business owner and I don't charge my customers for cost of doing business expenses! They are a tax deduction for Christ sake! Happily taking my money elsewhere.
