I called twice to ask about roof repairs. First time I got voice mail and left a message requesting a call back. No one called me back. I called again about a week later. I spoke with Delaila who took my information and told me someone would call me. Nobody ever called me back. Very poor business practice to not even extend the courtesy of a return call. I contacted this company on a recommendation from another construction company. My roof leaked and it caused a lot of damage to my garage which was not covered by my Insurance. I've had other companies put a coating/sealer on the roof that was supposed to keep it from leaking. They all failed. D&L came out and took the roof down to the studs. They rebuilt it and used a torch method to seal all of the roof panels together. The quality of the repair surpassed the original home builder. And the price was very reasonable. With the rainstorms in the valley this year, we discovered that we had developed a leak on the roof. While looking at different roofing companies we ran into a friend who was having their roof repaired. She recommended that we call David and D & L Roofing for a review of our situation. Meanwhile our next neighbor was having his roof repaired. So, I called David, the company doing my next neighbor's house and one other. The group next group doing my neighbor's home came in first with a review and quote. He spent less than 30 minutes and was out. David with D & L was next. He came in and started by leaking at the leak in the home. The other guy never asks to look at the leak until I pointed out during the walk around. After looking at the leak we headed out to the backyard to look at where David thought the leak may be occurring. Basically, he was thinking it was under the asphalt shingles. He said that the asphalt shingles definitely needed to be replaced. He asked how old the home was and if the roof had any repair or work over the years. The home is 35 years old and had no roof issues, so no work. David pointed out that the paper under the concrete tiles had a life of 20 to 25 years depending on quality. He would recommend looking at replacing and redoing the roof completely. So asked for numbers for doing just the shingles and the complete roof. Then David and I drove around my neighborhood looking at the roofs. He pointed out the reroof jobs and the roof that needed to be updated for materials and code. All together David was there about 2 hours. The other guy's estimator was book out 4 weeks. He then canceled and rescheduled for the next week. He didn't show. We decided on D & L Roofing because of 3 things; 1 the time they took to review and explain everything, 2 pure comfort level in the expertise and professional skills and 3 their cost was the best value! We agreed and told that they would be able to start in 5 weeks. That made me feel good that he was that busy, so I am not the only one to see value and quality. As fate would have it, just as we are expecting them to start, we lose our A/C! Now the A/C has to be removed, and new ducting installed for the unit. Finally, we are ready to start. Oliver the job foreman calls and tells us that they would be there Monday morning at 7:00am. Sure enough they were on the roof at 7:00. The job was completed in 2 and a half days, unlike my neighbor's. It took them 6 days for their home, and it is much smaller. They were professional, cleaning up as they went and following all the safety requirements. My wife made one request after they finished, she would like caps pieces over the tiles met up with the asphalt shingles. The roof had been finished as before, but this as something that my wife wanted extra. Oliver said no problem ordered the tile and sure enough it was done the next week. Overall, perfection! I reached out to them on April 18th and they mentioned that someone would reach out within 48 hours and never did. I called them again and left a message and also left a message on their messaging portal on their website. No one has reached back to us somehow. Later I called my property manager and explained to her about my experience, and she mentioned that the reception (the team that's taking prospect calls) seemed to be disconnected from the real team that's conducting work. There was a roofing job my manager had paid for and then they took a long time scheduling work. But the actual quality of the job is good when they get to it.
