We were part of wine group where we made our own barrel of wine. It was such a fun experience! I highly recommend it for a group activity. We met several times over a 7 month period to prepare our wine. We'd make a party out of it each time. We each brought a bottle of wine and an appetizer to share. They have an area set up with tables for us to place it all. They provided us with wine glasses and pitchers of water. The staff is so knowledgeable about wine production and they did a great job explaining the process to us on each visit. On this particular visit, our wine was complete, so we were all part of the assembly line that got to bottle it up. We each took a case of wine home. I've loved coming to Vegas Valley Winery since they first opened. They have expanded their variety quite a bit since the last time I came by. Last night was my first time visiting in over two years and it was such a nice treat. My friend and I showed up around 5 and sat at the bar to grab a tasting. There is a really comfy cozy vibe inside. We picked which option we wanted and started from there. About three tastings in (we don't really drink) we needed to add some carbs to the party so we checked out the food menu. $10 for a small pizza, not bad at all. The pizza is made in the oven right there and smells so good! I think we spent two or more hours at Vegas Valley Winery and enjoyed every minute. When I was in Europe, I did so many white wine tastings that I developed a white wine palate overtime, and I just wanted to come to Vegas Valley Winery and try so much more! They are located in Henderson's Booze District right next to Grape Expectations, not too far from Crafthaus Brewery and Neon Desert Brewing. They are also one of the first wineries to ever open in the Las Vegas valley. We were greeted instantly upon walking in and took a seat at a table. It wasn't busy, which was typical for a Thursday evening, so there were plenty of open tables and chairs at the bar. You can choose between having wine by the glass (red and white wine available) or you can try their tasting flights. We were given a food and wine menu to start off with. Lots of wine choices, but limited food choices. For food, we decided on their 12" cheese pizza and their Charcuterie table. For our wine choices, I had the Sauvignon Blanc dry white wine, my mom had the Mist Muscat Canelli white wine, and my dad had the Whimscal Semi-Dry Riesling white wine. While my parents only had one glass each, I decided to have two glasses of my own because it was just so good! The Sauvignon Blanc had that fruity flavor to it with just a hint of green apple and grapefruit. While I didn't get the chance to try the Charcuterie table, which had numerous amounts of meat and cheese on it, the pizza was excellent, cheesy, and shareable. I really want to come back again and try their other options, plus their flights and tastings. Excellent little winery in town with a casual, chill ambiance. Came here for wine Wednesdays and it was a real good time. They offer good specials on wine and pizza every Wednesday. Arrived around 6pm it was already kind of full but we were lucky enough to get a table with no wait time. Molly our server was great, constantly checked in on us and made sure our glasses were full. I opted in to get a flight of reds which came with 5 wines to taste for $15. Each wine was delicious. Parking wasn't a hassle as they have lots of it. Charcuterie was average but good, wine varieties for tasting was nice compared to some others in the area with their add on options and $2 off tastings on Tuesdays ($23 for a double tasting was a nice surprise). Another person in our party ordered the cider flight and it also was delicious. They have specials every few days and bottles are $24-$30. Tastings are $6-$12. The Vegas Valley Winery is located in the Artisan Booze District in Henderson. Yes, you read that correctly... Henderson has a thriving booze district, complete with various craft brewers, a vineyard, a wine school, and a distillery. Keep in mind that this place was a bit hard to find amongst all the industrial buildings. We went to Vegas Valley Winery for the wine (and live music) as well as the Wine Comedy Tour. The event took place in their tasting room. Back there, the ambiance was spectacular, as were the wines. Besides the wines, they had very good pizzas and charcuterie boards. How have I not written a review for this place?! Shame on me! Truly a hidden gem. (Yea... kinda not lying... it is sort of hidden.. in an industrial park ... which has been recently coined the Henderson Booze District.... just a hop, skip and a jump from Astronomy Aleworks which is just a short jaunt down from Bad Beat and Crafthaus.) Now... let's not compare it to a high end winery in Napa. Seriously folks! You're in the desert! But what I can say is this place likes to make every day, very 'user friendly' drinking wines! That's a WIN in my book. They are not over the top in any direction and they are not uber expensive...every batch is small batch... bottles are in the $20ish-30ish range. Oh and they make a cider too. I didn't try it this time, but I have in the past and it was very tasty.... the one I had a while back was not too sweet and not too effervescent-eeeee. (I realize that's not a word... but I'm trying to convey a mouth feel for y'all.) I dragged my husband here on a Sunday afternoon. We lucked out (or maybe not so lucky for VVW), and the place was basically empty... just us, another couple and the wine-tender. She had the VGK game on for us and we enjoyed some pizza and wine. Note... during the game... if you order 2 glasses of wine, the pizza (cheese or pepperoni) is Free! #Score So, we hung out for a bit and enjoyed a couple glasses of wine and a small pepperoni pizza. And I don't know if it's cuz I had not had a pizza in like 4 months or what! But this pizza was so damn tasty! And it went GREAT with the Rose I was drinking. In fact, as I write this... I think I need to go back and get a few bottles of that Rose before it sells out. They also have Yoga and Wine events in the back on occasion. Follow their FB page for updates on that. (Side note: the yoga classes are usually led by Tas, and she's a riot. Love her so much! Her classes are all about fun and to try new poses... no judgement... take a sip of wine and just go for it.) I think that has been put on hold for the time being .... since ... ya know.. pandemic. OH! And if you want to make your own wine ... you can do that too! I can't remember how much it was, but you can get a group of friends and split the cost of the barrel or just do it your own self if you are a baller. VVW will walk you step by step... through the whole process to help you make your own wine. This is a seasonal thing so contact them for when the next wine-making session will start. Net, Net.... If I was able to give this place 100 stars I would. What a wonderful team! And winery that makes their own wines. Where else in Vegas would you find it?! I visited this place multiple times, one of our first dates with my husband was there. Every time- it feels like we are part of the family. They invite us over for a private tour, and explained everything about winemaking (KJ is something out of this world! So funny! And loves what he does). We had the best time at this unexpected Vegas winery! WOW! The tasting was delicious! From the mixed tasting, the Whimsical and Sauvignon Blanc were delicious. I've been a frequent visitor of the Vegas Valley Winery ever since this open about 3 years ago and I never wrote a review! They have a wonderful wine selection with tasting options. It be hard to choose a favorite but I really like the Zinfandel and La Rosa. But honestly you should try all the wines because they are great in their own way. They select grapes and varieties to blend up their creations. Every so often when they finish a wine, a new variety is released! If you follow them on Instagram they will have fun events and specials throughout the week. They also added mimosas on Sunday which is definitely worth checking out. It feels like my home away from home. Everyone is very friendly there and the small food options they provide is just right! Good pizza and a great charcuterie plate. We were in the area to try a local brewery and found Vegas Valley Winery so we decided to stop by. Thankful that we did as this place is great. Steven was the host that day and we had a great time with him tasting the wines and visiting. It was like we had known him as a friend forever and it was very enjoyable. The wines were amazing, I did the tasting mix which is a great way to go because you get to taste a wide range of there wines. I was impressed with all of them and thought that they all tasted great. The Rose was one of my favorites but I also liked the Sangiovese and the Tempranillo as well. The atmosphere was very relaxing and you do not even remember that you are really in a warehouse district. Steven was very knowledgeable about the wines and grapes and was able to provide a lot of great tasting notes as we walked our way through the different wines. This is one of only a couple of wineries located in the Vegas area so be sure to check it out. read more

After being lucky enough to participate and make my own wine at the main facility Grape Expectations, I was happy to see that a winery was added. They are located in the Henderson Booze District and can be tricky to find if you are not real familiar with this industrial area. We stopped in for a quick drink and we were greeted by friendly faces. The space is not big at all and features some four top tables, and barstools along with a small TV for viewing the Vegas Golden Knights games. They offer a special on game nights which is a free small cheese pizza along with two purchased glasses of wine. They are always having events at this location too including Yoga and Wine Nights, Sip and Shop featuring handmade goods from artists and craftsmen, paint parties and they even had a Coloring Club meet up. The winery itself features a nice variety of wines including wines from Nevada which at first could shock you but they are surprisingly tasty. They offer a tasting of their featured wines and you can also take a tour of the wine making facility while drinking your wine. We enjoyed a full glass of their classic American Zinfandel. So rich in taste and exploding with fruit. The best part of this visit was that everyone in the winery all joined in to sing Happy Birthday to my Mom, which she really enjoyed! She was also served a wine infused cupcake that complimented her glass of wine. Decadent indeed! Good wine, good people, good times! read more

First time here and it won't be my last! Friend and I decided to do the 5 glass tasting for $10. They also have 7 glass tasting for $15. We both tried the white wines (I'm not a huge fan of red). My favorite was the Subtle blond (it's on the sweeter side) and my friend's favorite was the Whimsical. We both bought a bottle of each! The reason why I gave 5 stars is because of service. Regina was the bartender that night and since it was just the 3 of us, we indulged in some girl talk (my favorite kind of talk!). She was hilarious and we all shared our stories with each other and had a wonderful time. Because of her, I will definitely be back for another visit, and another tasting of course! I absolutely love this place!! Steve is the best and always makes us feel so welcomed!! The first time my boyfriend and I came here, we got a tour and it was so cool. We also did a wine tasting. Before covid, they would host plenty of fun events, such as an Oscar viewing party or would have live music on Friday's. MJ had an incredible amount of wine knowledge. We were so lucky to discuss wine with her. Her service was very good. However, the wines were very young & you could tell. Being in an industrial park is a strange place for a nice winery. Hopefully Henderson can change their zoning regulations. However, MJ's service made up for a lot of things. They now have 7 wines to offer instead of 5! I came here the other day and ordered the Syrah again (a favorite of mine) and their "Mist" which is a white wine with fruity undertones. I can't really explain it without butchering it but I know I loved it and it is my new favorite next to the Syrah. The experience was still tops and inviting and completely chill. I love coming here fora few glasses. They have also added to their food menu with three cupcakes, all infused in some way with wine, whether it be in the frosting or the cake itself. A fun addition to the Henderson Booze District. Find the winery in the Henderson industrial area on Eastgate. Vegas Valley Winery has the same owners as Grape Expectations so find it next door. It might be a little tricky to find if you've never been to the area before, but there is plenty of parking once you arrive. Inside the winery is clean and nicely decorated. There are about half a dozen tables and a bar area as well. The inside is much cuter than you'd expect for a winery in an industrial park. There are five wines available, two reds and three white or rose style wines. The wines can be ordered by the glass or as part of a tasting of all five. I had low expectations for Nevada wine, but the grapes for the wine come from California. My husband and I actually liked all of the wines we tried. We had a hard time deciding on only one wine to order for our glass of wine. One of the draws for me was that they offer food. I don't mind that the menu is limited because they have made an effort to have something to offer. Food includes an 8"or 12" cheese pizza and a meat and cheese platter. We tried the pizza and thought it was pretty good. The meat and cheese platter had a nice variety of goodies that we enjoyed. It made for a nice light meal with our wine tasting. The employees that served us were friendly and helpful. They gave us information about the wines and the winery as we worked through our tasting. Once we were finished with food and wine one of the employees offered us a tour of the back. She showed us the area where wines are made and explained the wine making process at Grape Expectations. We definitely left with some interest in making our own barrel of wine at some point. Wines aren't available for purchase yet. The winery is still making sure they have enough to offer for tasting before selling bottles. We were told that a Muscato will be added to the menu soon too. They are newer, but it sounds like there is more to come. read more

I believe it was around $6-8 and you get to try a bit of all their wines available! When we finished we were SO ready to purchase some bottles!! We were hit with some bad news when we asked about the pricing per bottle, although inexpensive, their wines were not ready to be sold to the public yet Two of the sweeter wines stood out, the blond was definitely everyone's favorite at our table. The rosè was second place for me. The cheese platter was a good portion for about 4-5 of us during our tasting and also ordered two pizzas to share, I think $14 each? They weren't as good as Papa Johns or a place like Dominos, but it gets the job done. It got us carb-ed up for more wine before dinner We were able to do a quick tour and learn about the wine making process and how we can actually create our own unique barrel of wine with a group of friends, family and/or strangers. You get to stomp the grapes to making your own wine label to bottling them yourself! I think one barrel makes about 240 bottles of wine to be shared among your group. Perfect little day trip with my best friend! Drove out from Henderson at Noon arrived and was delightfully surprised, grapes grown on site and thriving. Walking in the staff was so welcoming, we took the official tour which was about 30 mins or so. It's a quick walk through the main building, trophy room, bottling factory and vineyard. It's a beautiful place for photos. Following the tour we tasted all the NV wines which were amazing. We ordered a few bottles of our favorites to take home. We had a beautiful lunch at the steakhouse overlooking the vineyard. I would love to come back soon. read more
