We met several times over a 7 month period to prepare our wine. We'd make a party out of it each time. We each brought a bottle of wine and an appetizer to share. They have an area set up with tables for us to place it all. They provided us with wine glasses and pitchers of water. The staff is so knowledgeable about wine production and they did a great job explaining the process to us on each visit. On this particular visit, our wine was complete, so we were all part of the assembly line that got to bottle it up. We each took a case of wine home. Now I have 12 bottles of delicious wine to continue enjoying!

Last night was my first time visiting in over two years and it was such a nice treat. My friend and I showed up around 5 and sat at the bar to grab a tasting. There is a really comfy cozy vibe inside. We picked which option we wanted and started from there. About three tastings in (we don't really drink) we needed to add some carbs to the party so we checked out the food menu. $10 for a small pizza, not bad at all. The pizza is made in the oven right there and smells so good! I think we spent two or more hours at Vegas Valley Winery and enjoyed every minute. I can't wait to come back and bring one of our other friends too. I highly recommend you check out VVW if you haven't yet!

We had a confirmed reservation for Friday, December 19, 2025 at 6:30 PM for a party of seven. The reservation was made online, accepted, and confirmed by email. I even received an email the day before asking me to confirm that we would be there, which I did. On top of that, I called the night before with questions about the menu. Although there is no direct phone line to The Wine Cellar, I was connected to a concierge who, while not fully familiar with every detail, took the time to review the website and menu with me. At no point was there any indication that the wine cellar would be closed. Everything showed as open, normal hours, reservations active. We arrived on time for our reservation and found the place completely closed. This was not a casual drop-in. It took effort to get this group together. We had friends in town visiting who Ubered to the location from The Strip, we drove in from North Summerlin, and others came from Henderson. We dressed up in holiday attire and planned this as a special night out leading into Christmas. It mattered to us. Instead, we were left standing there confused and disappointed, and ended up spending the rest of the evening sitting at another bar in the casino eating nachos. Not exactly the Napa-inspired wine experience we were excited about. If a business is closed, it should not be accepting online reservations, sending confirmation emails, or asking guests to reconfirm their attendance. Employees and concierge staff should be aware of closures. And if something truly unexpected happened, a facility issue or last-minute closure, then someone should be contacting guests with confirmed reservations. That would not have been difficult. We relocated to Las Vegas from Northern California years ago and were genuinely excited to visit a Napa inspired Wine Cellar because we miss that wine culture and wanted to share it with friends. As locals, it is incredibly disappointing to see a business handled this way. I want to support places where I live, but this experience left us frustrated and upset. This was a big letdown and, honestly, a shame.

We walked right in & the place was dead with only 2 other tables filled. We got seated right away & service was polite & attentive. The ambiance felt like you're in a vintage cave similar to one of the wineries we've been to Napa. It felt relaxing & personable. Hubby ordered the worldwide red wine adventure which included 3 flights...a Malbec, Tempranillo, & Chianti. I had the Joe's the best of the best Cabernet which included 3 different pours of Cabernet. I'm from LA & have always been into cabs but recently have transitioned to old world wines bc it pairs better with food in my opinion. However, hubby suggested we have an open mind & order both the old world & new world wines. Surprisingly, I thought the cabs tasted better than the old world wines. The cabs listed on the menu are ones that I've never had before & it was bold as expected but solid. I've had better old world wines so it was just okay. With that being said, I don't mind coming back to try other wines on the menu.

The Equifera Icewines (Riesling and Vidal) + Icewine Martini were fantastic, especially paired with the hors d'oeuvres (mini crab cakes, potato and duck egg rolls, and assorted chocolate truffles). The brief presentation by the father of modern icewine making, Donald Ziraldo, was informative and insightful. I love dessert wines, so hearing about the microclimate, harvesting the grapes, and non-traditional pairings for the exquisite icewine was especially interesting. Donald was definitely the right man for the job of Global Ambassador for Canadian Icewine. The sampling of the icewine was a nice treat. I really enjoyed the Vidal Icewine, which has a really nice bouquet of tropical fruits flavor notes. And getting a sip of the Cabernet Frac Icewine was really a nice treat (Thanks Dean!) I am for sure going to Total Wines to get me a few bottles. Thank you Yelp (Misti) and Patricia Nims (Kruger Wines and Spirits) for partnering up and offering this wonderful evening of extreme icewine tasting, and providing a great function for networking with other professionals. The banquet staff at the Trump International Hotel. And a big shout out to Donald Ziraldo and the folks at Equifera for creating this awesome wine! 5 stars all the way! Now go out and treat yourself to a nice bottle of Equifera Icewine :)

Started with the Somm wine flight on a Thursday night. 4 wines chosen at random by the sommelier. First off, great idea! Second, they were delicious choices. The menu is mostly filled sharables grouped by vegetables, proteins, etc, and we shared two entrees as well. -Whipped Brie with honey and blackberry. Ask for extra bread, you will want to finish it. -Macatie mushrooms in garlic sauce. Star of the night. -Tagliatelle + scallops. Good and fresh, but a bit disappointing as the scallops were tiny instead of large...felt like a frozen bag was added -Shrimp w garlic and chile. Wow! Just wow. Should have asked for bread here, but I was too full to add bread. I could have licked the plate for this garlic chile sauce! Great service. Atmosphere is smaller restaurant with tables close to each other that offer a view of kitchen or window. Despite table proximity, noise was manageable enough to have conversation. To be honest, my party of two had already imbibed a flight of beers at CraftHaus across the street AND eaten a basket of their loaded tots, so we were kind of already full before we decided to pop on in for more food. - Whipped brie with blackberry and honey: smooth, dare I say light, sweet, creamy, served with triangles of toasted brioche... this was a delightful dish. We ended up running out of bread so the waitstaff generously brought us another round. - Lemon pepper pork ribs + house ranch: GET THIS! I was kind of stuffed by the time this dish came out, but the ribs were FALLING OFF THE BONES and the ranch was the perfect dip for them. SO freaking flavorful. - Mick's royale with cheese: I am a huge fan of burgers. The waiter confidently told us there isn't a better cheeseburger in town, and I think he might have been right. It was GIVING everything one would want in a hearty burger. Meaty, juicy, crispy edges, cheesy, saucy. DELICIOUS. I can't wait for my next visit, except next time, I'll make sure not to pre-eat beforehand! ;D

It wasn't bad, but not strong like many we have stayed at. Possible black mold on shower caulk. Biggest issue was the firm bed. My lower back hurt when I woke up. This didn't happen at the hotel we had left the night before. For those reasons, especially the bed, we might try Crockfords next time, but will never stay at Hilton again. I had no idea I'd be committing to 20 tastings when I signed up for this event, honestly, I thought maybe 8-10 tastings. But as a wine aficionado, how does one say no? The event came with a wrist band, a souvenir wine glass, a punch card and a raffle ticket. The wine walk had 20 tasting stations, everything from Riesling, to Merlot, to Muscat to Shiraz. Each wine ranging from $10-$20 per bottle. I have to admit, I only liked about 1/2 of the wines. But what a joy it was tasting everything anyway. It seemed like all of the red wines were on one side of Town Square while all of the whites were on the other. I wish they would have mixed it up a little bit more. With 20 tasting sessions, Yelp was hosting 2 of them. It was fun to meet so many of my friends such as Mel C., Terri R., and Tracy P., plus see other familiar faces like Ron L, River H.and Molly T. With my Yelp check in, I received a wine charm, another added bonus to the evening. I'm told each event has different wines, but from the 4/29/13 event - The best wine by my book? By far the Truffle Merlot at stop 15. The worst wine?? The Ed Hardy wine - *bleh*! This was the only wine that William tossed in the bushes (it was one of 3 I did). I love events that give to charity, and I also love wine, this was a perfect mix of both. I'll definitely do this again, only next time I'll arrange a designated driver!
