Bold flavors, lots of variety... and the vegetarian dishes aren't meat dishes with out the meat... the meat dishes are vegetarian dishes *with* meat. I love the fact that the food containers and lids are NOT PLASTIC but plant based so everything is compostable, and you can heat the dish in the microwave without fear of plastics melting into your food. Great value, just had my first and the pozole was out of this world. The 4 days of vegetarian lunch + dinner a week came out to less than $11 a meal for me. I love cooking and would normally not pay someone do this for me. To be honest, I really just wanted to use some intro offer but i am very impressed. One of my biggest pleasures is finding the right produce - I go to whole foods, costco and H St Farms (Cultivate the City) while also ordering meat/eggs from Polyface Farms. Great idea for service during COVID times, when professionals and families are juggling multiple things. I have been with V+B for over 3-4 months now and the quality has declined. I subscribed to the paleo butcher box. I found the amount and The quality to be very inconsistent. I have directly sent many feedback but no responses to such feedbacks have been received. On butcher boxes, only two varieties of meat grilled chicken and pulled pork are available mostly. Protein amounts esp chicken has been limited (3-4 strips). As for calling them paleo boxes is a misnomer as they are usually loaded with carbs like rice and potatoes. I decided to give this a try. Meal arrived at 9:30 PM not 1am to 5am as promised, so i was left scrambling for dinner for myself and kids. Email communication read as though it had been outsourced to another country and the employees didn't have a command of the english language. None of the dishes look like something that I would pick out at a restaurant or something that I would know how to make at home at all but each one has an amazing flavor and is so healthy and nutritious. V+B is exceptional! I singed up in OTC several weeks before COVID-19 struck, so now I am getting even more benefits as I do not have to go to the store. Delivery is super prompt. Had a little issue first figuring our how the delivery works (Hint: Go to Q&A, it is Monday, Wednesday and Friday if you order 2,4, 6 meals respectively) . If you order the meat meals, the protein portions are TINY. Also the company rarely gets orders right. In the same week they've botched two deliveries-- giving me a vegetarian meal instead of a meat meal and on a second delivery left out two whole meals giving me four instead of the six I paid for. Most of their customer service emails are pre-typed, so it's a double insult when you receive a response having little to do with the complaint. Best meal delivery service! I was having trouble getting groceries delivered at the beginning of Covid, and learned about V+B through the food page I follow. I was excited to learn all of their food is gluten and dairy free, as I have to follow a gluten-free diet. All of the food has been great so far, and while you feel like you're eating healthy meals, it certainly does not fall short on taste or creativity! It's customizable, affordable, and just so convenient since everything is prepared and cooked for you. Lastly, their customer service is awesome. They will reach out to ask how things are going, and if you ever have to contact them with a question or concern, they always respond promptly ready to address anything you send. Holy smokes the food is good. I'm two weeks into a subscription and everything has exceeded my expectations. Even when I've seen items on the menu that I've felt meh about, they have turned out delicious. And the customer service is great. V+B could not have done a better job with customer service, even offering to deliver the meals at my office to ensure that I'd have lunch! I have used other meal delivery services (Blue Apron, Hello Fresh, etc) and while V+B is not a cook it yourself option it offers a lot of benefits that others do not. V+B is healthy, affordable, delicious and consistent. But best of all they have flexibility in their options to allow for a couple to order whats right for the individual. I am obsessed! I have tried them all and this is by far my favorite one!! I am healthier and happier as a result of getting my delicious, interesting, vegan meals delivered. The food is amazing but I have been a subscriber for only two weeks and 4 out 5 of my first deliveries were either missed or delivered very late. My very first delivery was delivered to the wrong location well after midnight and sat outside for nearly 8 hours before I was able to retrieve it. Customer service is very responsive and apologetic but their track record is very bad. With so many meal delivery services out there, I have to think long and hard about whether I will continue subscribing. read more

I've tried a lot of pre-made meal services (work is a killer sometimes), and this is by far the best, most delicious, and healthiest I've ever had. I'm really impressed by their menu and the quality of the meat in all the meals - no gristle, strange cuts, etc. It's always incredibly fresh and flavorful. I consider this service as good as eating out on the weekdays, but about a million times more healthy, cheaper and convenient. Probably still one of the better kept secrets in DC. I'm nervous for the day the rest of DC finds out about the service and demand really takes off! I used the service for almost 6 months. Overall it was great and I gradually lost weight without any effort. There were a few hiccups, normally just when I would change some thing like wanting to try a vegan option, but they were always quick to make it up. I live out in the suburbs and I never had any issues with not getting my meals by the morning. Unfortunately I noticed a decline in the quality of the food in the last month I was using them (Jan 2021) and canceled in frustration when one of my meals that I took to work apparently had some rotting meat in it. When I canceled and gave that reason there was no response from the company. It is a shame, and I'm considering going back just because I am trying other services and none of them so far are as low-effort and low-waste. The delivery coolers, compostable containers and return compost service are as good for convenience as they are for the environment. I am hard to please, I admit. I eat clean, healthful organic food. I am very busy with work and don't feel like or have the time to cook when I come home to my family, which includes three furry babies. I am also in the bad bucket when it comes to COVID-19.
