I love V&B--the meals, the delivery and customer service, but I travel frequently, so it's hard to stick with the plan. It does come in handy when I'm home for a bit and just need healthy, tasty food when I don't want to cook or order in! I haven't yet cancelled my account because I do like having the option when I need it, but it is inconvenient to keep track of the order page to skip weekly deliveries when you are traveling. I wish V&B would just allow one to stop and start the subscription as needed, so that it isn't automatically delivered because I have an account. I liked that the food storage was compostable and bags were reused. The food was healthy and had calorie counts. I wasn't pleased with the flavor or preparation, especially of Asian-themed foods. I felt that they could have used basic Asian recipes that would have tasted better, but created different versions that did not taste as good. There are many vegetarian Asian cuisines they could have used and simple recipes on the Internet abound. Examples of Asian-inspired meals that were not inspiring were cold noodles with cucumbers (should have stored noodles separately), panang curry that was tasteless, salads were also not to my taste. V+B are a meal delivery service in the DC area, but they also deliver to College Park (where we live currently). We spent about a month going back and forth deciding if we'd actually try it, we looked into other meal services... and no other came close to V+B for quality/freshness. They separate themselves from the pack by delivering every 2 days to ensure freshness (because that 5th day meal would be soggy and gross, hello). Not only that, but their ingredients are sourced locally and support the surrounding areas. All of the meals I received this week look DELICIOUS.
