The harvest Bowl comes with grilled tamari mushrooms, roasted butternut squash,turmeric cauliflower, and red beets. Server over ancient grains and chipotle marinated greens. The veggie grill house salad comes with kale, baby spinach, cabbage, carrot mix. Topped with pickled cucumbers, tomatoes, and sunflower seeds. I will order both again in the future. I came here looking for mas veggie taqueria, because I really wanted to try their mushroom tacos. This was where the address google maps lead me too. Upon entering I thought I was in the right place until I started to look at the menu and saw nothing about tacos or anything remotely Mexican. I was kindly greeted by the staff, and decided to try the vegan cookies and a small lentil soup. The cookies were decent 3 came in the order, but the lentil soup though smelled like it was going to be awesome was rather off. I'm not sure what it was but there was a flavor in it that immediately put me off. So not a fan of the soup. As I left I re examined the address to see if I miss read it and drove around the complex again once more to realized that yes that was the same address for "mas veggie taqueria". Once I drove away I went onto the actual website to see if they had closed down or something, and found out in very small print.... that they only basically do delivery and if you order online you can pick up... wait for it....AT the VEGGIE GRILL! Hmmm... so correct me if I'm wrong.... wouldn't the nice thing to do to help your customers out is have some sort of a sign letting them know that either it's 2 restaurants in one... or even a small sign saying, " mas veggie taqueria pick up"! As a gluten free person, I was so excited to try this location. I was extremely disappointed when I bit down on the sandwich and the bread fell apart in my hands. The bun was dryer than Las Vegas in the summer! I couldn't finish it so I decided to get another bowl & I was not impressed with the beans. The bowl was better but I think the continued disappointment made me lose my appetite. The service was good, when I was asking questions the person wasn't very helpful but they answered the best the could which I appreciated. My partner on the other hand loved their regular burger! So their food isn't bad but their gluten free buns are! The location is in a nice place and it was pretty inside. The Buffalo burger was good, wasn't too spicy nor did it have too much ranch. I added the sweet and sour sauce on it and thought it tasted better. The cali flower bites were good and went best with the sweet and spicy. The Buffalo sauce was too over powering and too hot without the mixture of ranch. The other customers even were super friendly and gave us recommendations on what to get. This place is definitely not something I would eat everyday because the price was about $20. Veggie Grill is a classic for vegetarians and vegans alike. While the competition has increased, Veggie Grill remains a solid and consistent option. Been to this location a few times and have always had a good experience. While consistent, I did notice the Caesar salad has slightly evolved into a pretty basic, mostly romaine, skeleton of what it once was - oh well. The food is always good (I wouldn't say great), it caters not only to vegetarians and vegans but also to the general population, and it's reliable. Will continue visiting Veggie Grill locations here and there when in need, and I appreciate them for being there for it. read more

This is an awesome food chain that I first discovered a couple years ago in the bay area (Mountain View), since then I've been to their Pasadena and Walnut Creek location, but when I found out there was one not too far from my hotel my eyes lit up! I haven't been to Veggie Grill in about a year, so their menu is definitely improved, as they seem to come out with new season menus. I get a laugh out of it when there tends to be a first timer in front of me who's a carnivore wanting to order some meat, realizing it's a vegan restaurant, but he's inclined to ordering anyways because the date he's with is most likely a vegan/vegetarian. I ordered the Beyond Crispy Tacos, Crispy Cauliflower with both of their sauces to try (I believe one is a sweet and the other is the buffalo, which accommodates the cauliflower more in my humble opinion), a chocolate chip cookie, and a coconut water. Hardly can one go wrong ordering off the menu here, at least try it once! The prices on the other end are a little pricey, but anything vegan tends to be. I have been coming here for over two years now and while I love the fact that everything is vegan, there have been some changes to their dining experience. First off, portion sizes have significantly decreased. The French fries on an entree are no larger than a kids meal portion. The kids meal "chicken nuggets" were overly breaded and appeared smaller in size from what I recall. The carrot cake offered to kids is now the size of an average cupcake. I continue to love the quinoa and veggie burger but they no longer offer the, "bad boy style," which makes me sad. I used to get full off of eating their food and now I'm left hungry. The prices have also gone up, considering they have added some big names like Beyond Meat to their entrees. I still love their chipotle ranch dip which is great with just about everything. However, this place is no longer 5 stars. The increasing prices and smaller portion sizes are a game changer for me. We paid $40 for 2 entrees, 2 drinks and a kids meal, that didn't fill us up. Sadly, we probably won't be back for a while. But it's still a great place for people wanting to try out vegan fast food or those not wanting to stress about dietary restrictions. Their menu is always changing- this could be a good or bad thing as some of my favorites are no longer offered. Lately though, when I've tried new foods, I've been disappointed. I always like to check Veggie Grill for their seasonal specials. Their food seems to feel healthier than eating Native Foods (but I am also a big fan of Native foods as well). The only disadvantage of Veggie Grill is that the serving amount does not match how much one pays. Often when we takeaway, we open up our food with disappointment of the amount of food received. After eating the food, we aren't that full. For this reason, I recommend buying an appetizer to share along with two mains to have a good meal. Beyond Burger: tasty. But I stopped buying this when Costco started to carry the Impossible burger patties. Making this dish easier and less expensive to make. However, the different concoctions of burgers available are worth a try. I just do not go out of my way to keep ordering the burgers. Wunderbrat: disappointing serving size. Although it is good. Thai Broccoli: not too spicy. Crunchy broccoli too. Nachos: a classic starter when I'm eating with someone else. The mix of flavors used are good. read more

First time trying out veggie grill through delivery app and it was not disappointed. I'm not a vegetarian and I love meat, i'm always skeptical trying out 100% vegetarian/plant based food due to concerns of taste. Surprisingly, the food here was decently palatable. The delivery bag it came with had a safety seal just to secure the food and make sure no one else opens the bag except for the consumer. I thought this was a cleaver idea especially with all the rumors about delivery drivers sampling your food while they're delivering your food, makes me feel much safer about my meal. I ordered the VG burger with lettuce wrap and the meat patty taste like almost the real thing, so did the Buffalo wings, both were delicious. The Mac and cheese tasted too clean/bland for me, I like it very cheesy and thick which this one did not have the consistency of. Loved everything. So you start off by ordering. I ordered the santa fe crispy "chicken" which is made with a plant based patty and came with a cup of zucchini soup. They have an array of wonderful fountain drinks that are mahhrvelous. They have a cucumber mint drink that I personally love. The chicken sandwich was perfectly crispy and tasted oh so delicious. This place is really fun. They do a great vegan take on comfort food. I munched on the double Mac and cheese BBQ burger that was pretty good! My only thing with this place was that the Mac and cheese wasn't toooooo terribly special. Tasted like daiya vegan cheese, which is fine but just not the most tasty or flavorful morsel I've had. However, the chili cheese dog with coleslaw and potato salad was ridiculous! I really enjoyed it and the spice level was perfect. My boyfriend munched on their Santa Fe chicken sandwich which was flavorful and strangely juicy!! Hard to give a bad review to such a great place, but it's a pretty big fail when a restaurant thinks it can improve on something that's already good, or even perfect, and ruin it completely: Such as adding kale to a Caesar salad...there is NO KALE in Caesar salad! You had it so perfect before you made the ill-fated decision to add kale to this! You have to know how to properly prepare kale to make it palatable when serving raw for a lot people, such as removing the ribs, and that wasn't even done. $10 is a lot to pay for a salad that you can't eat. I had arrived to California after a long day of traveling and was completely exhausted by the time we checked in to our hotel (right across the street at the Palisades). I was researching a place that was walking distance and found this gem right next to Starbucks! I've never had vegan food before but all the great views made me give it a try. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed. I ordered the Taco Salad (which was gluten-free) and I loved it! Since it's vegan, the "meat" and "cheese" were all plant-based and absolutely delicious! There was no lack in flavor and all the textures worked well together. I ordered it half an hour before they closed and it was predicted to be ready in 15 minutes (which was perfect since I was only a 10 minute walk away). By the time I arrived, it was ready to get picked up! It is on the pricey side, for just one salad it was $12--but given the large portion, it was very filling! Even if you're not vegan, I would give this place a try!
