100% vegan!! Located in a shopping center I nearly missed, it had indoor and outdoor seating. Near 7-11 gas station. I was greeted upon entry, and there were three people eating at their cafe. I scanned the menu and was really interested in eating one of their bowls. The Monte bowl had roasted peppers and pepitas which drew me to order it. The components were all there, except spice. I would've loved avocado and a spicy taste whether it be the tofu, jalapeños, or a spicy sauce of some kind. The morita cashew cream was good though. The other two bowls use a jalapeño cashew cream so I'll have to try them all to see which is my favorite. I'll totally come back and try something new. I also loved that they use compostable utensils and take out containers, plus a bag that used recycled materials.

    Empty for a reason

(Updated) she private messaged me. Please humble yourself we are about the same age. No need to be rude to anyone....Service is usually really important to me when first experiencing a new place to eat. Brought my grand daughter with me and the lady at the front (upon reading past reviews realized she is the actually owner) wasn't very welcoming. Place was empty yet she gave me the feeling that she didn't really want anyone to stay and hang out. Purchased a sandwich and a cappuccino. She kept eyeing me from the kitchen because I had told her everything was to go and then last minute we decided to stay. Food was ok, vegan place. Due to the lack of friendliness and zero welcoming staff I'll definitely never return.

    Chickpea "tuna" sandwich

This has been a consistently great Saturday lunch place for me, everything I've tried has been fantastic. Mint lemonade is the drink of choice, this last visit the chickpea "tuna" sandwich was great. Light, fluffy, flavorful and well seasoned, with big portions. Incredibly nice service, definitely ask questions or for recommendations if you don't know where to start.

    My delicious breakfast

Gently tucked behind shadow Ridge golf course in Sycamore Avenue- their sits a beautiful restaurant with a nice patio - I'm not even particularly high on Vegan food, but man the food is excellent - This Smoothies were also - The whole menu was reasonably priced- and I got the Chilaquiles and they were absolutely excellent- I really really really want to say that this place was all around amazing... but the service was... Well, I left a lot to be desired.- however with my unstoppable positivity, I was able to- no I'm just kidding. I wasn't really able to get through.- This lady is a tough cookie- but not a bad one- I sincerely hope that she finds joy , love, and happiness- If I was speaking to her directly, I would say - your restaurant is beautiful- your food is even better- but it doesn't feel warm when you walk in- and I know that you probably work a lot of long hours, I got no doubt that life can be hard, stressful and exhausting....BUT being kind is a choice- and someone comes in excited about a menu- it's OK to get excited with him- I think you've done amazing- but if you can't find joy in what you do- why do it? Either way once again, your food is amazing.-

    Happy Panini

Though they were out of the panini bread the sourdough filled in perfectly. This vegan restaurant will turn a meat eater into a vegan (well at least part time or sometime). I am not vegan (as if it was a religion ). But sometimes I do rest my body from meat. This place is a great alternative. It's very good, the service is good and the place is very nice and clean. The happy panini was so absolutely flavorful and filling along with a fantastic arugula salad. I will try this place again.

The food was fantastic, they have an excellent beer menu (and other adult beverages are available too), and our waiter was so fun and helpful. The rest of us had the carnitas, enchiladas and a couple of tacos and everything was exceptional. We will definitely be back soon!

There were approximately 12 tables in the first section, and it got a little loud as it filled up at lunch time but not bad to the point of annoying. Not sure how many tables in the second section. Our very pleasant server brought us waters and fresh Tortilla Chips with a Black Bean sauce on them and two different hot sauces. Very fresh tasting and enjoyable. We ordered Modelo draft Beers, $7 each. They gave us a breakfast menu, regular menu, drink menu and another menu that I didn't even bother to look at. Too much. My friend and I really like Taquitos, so we thought we would give them a try here since it was our first time. He got beef and I got chicken. They also have pork. For $15, we got five Taquitos covered with some Black Bean sauce, Guacamole, Creme Fresh and Mexican Cheese. They were piping hot when served, crunchy on the outside with a good amount of filling that you could sink your teeth into and really taste. They were delicious, some of the best we have had. By the time we finished our lunch every table in our section was occupied and they had opened up their second seating area too. A consistent stream of "To Go" orders was being picked up all during our lunch. If I could, I would have given them a 4.7-star rating. The only reason not to being a 5 is two things. First, the entry point is a choke point, people standing in and out the front door trying to get in and there are no waiting seats inside so people waiting to pick up a "To Go" order sit at tables and or stand over other diners by the front door. Second the ambience is on the noisy side and basic. For their great food it is not going to stop me from going back and trying some of their other dishes though.

For this visit, I tried the beef pares for the first time. I don't recall my family ever making it, so I thought I'd give it a go. It reminded of adobo but sweet with a little hint of star anise. The only drawback was bitting into little pieces of it, but overall, I enjoyed it. It is a small spot, so seating is first come, first serve. The staff is always friendly and the music selection is always good. If you're lucky you might even hear Ate signing from the kitchen.

One of the ladies at the counter seemed like she didn't want us there or she was just done for the day. She definitely did not give friendly vibes at all. We also weren't served any water at all, while we watched every single customer that came after us get served water. We had to ask for some at the counter, and even then, there were no apologies for forgetting or anything. Like we were really supposed to ask for it, but everyone else didn't. The lechon kawali was tough--it's supposed to be crunchy, but it was far from that. It was hard and dry more than anything. The pork sinigang was supposed to have pork belly as stated in their menu, but it did not seem like it was pork belly at all--more like remnants or trimmings from unwanted pork bits. Some pieces were chewy and didn't look very appetizing. Sinigang is also supposed to be sour from the tamarind, but the soup we got was extremely watered down that you only get the slightest hint of sourness from it. The lumpiang sariwa was okay--nothing to write home about. On top of all that, we came during a very hot day and were excited to have some halo-halo, only to find out that they have run out. In the span of time we were there eating, we have watched them tell maybe 4 or 5 groups of customers that they're all out of halo-halo. I get that their halo-halo is special and different than the usual ones you get elsewhere, but you'd think they'd be more prepared for this, seeing that this is not their first summer rodeo... I'm not sure if this is an every day thing for this place, but I'm really hoping it's not. I don't think we'll be coming back after the experience we just had.
