I came here with friends around 11am on a Saturday. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated right away at an outdoor table. Our waitress was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. I ordered the Avocado Toast. It came with a generous portion of avocado and a side salad. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. I would definitely order it again. My only complaint is that the tables and surrounding areas could have been wiped down more thoroughly.

The lemon ricotta pancake is creamy & delicious. Get one pancake & let everyone taste. We had the tunacado & carnitas hash. The tuna was fresh &!so good w/the pesto. The carnitas were okay. It felt a little too heavy for breakfast for me. Some of the meat was fatty. It was still good but I would get something different next time. Our server was spot on w/service & detail. The ambiance is great for a breakfast venue. I will say, I've lived in Carlsbad for 8 years & I've never noticed their sign. They need to invest in a better sign, so it's noticed from the street. Just my two cents.

I usually have a good experience at this brunch spot. Here's a fun fact...the beach plum is a native fruit which grows mostly in the wild along the coastal communities from Maine to Virginia. I thought it was super cool that the owners are East Coast transplants just like me. The atmosphere is inviting and laid-back. I can tell the cleaning is kept up with. The staff are welcoming when I dine-in... seating is pretty quick and service very good. There are a plethora of food options, some traditional and some innovative. I'm a big fan of their house-made jams. I pretty much always enjoy my meals. Beach Plum Kitchen is where a good brunch is at Yelp Community :-)

Apple Maps can either get you here or close by. It is located to the very left if you are looking directly at Cinepolis. I chose this spot because I had a birthday credit for $10 off from the Toast appI thought they served cocktails but they only had mimosas. I have been to this place for brunch years ago and remember it was good but today. I just had a mimosa mixed with cranberry and it was ok. The service is great and everyone I dealt with was very friendly.

Everything was pretty good. Service was good. Sophia was great. Don't agree with the supplemental fee. Will not be back, we tipped 20% all the time and on top of that we have a $5.48 supplemental fee. Understand it's on the menu, but it should be told to everybody that is paying their check.

Stopped in for brunch over the weekend and was surprised that we didn't have to wait too long for a table (around 20 minutes for a party of 7). Our waitress was very sweet and accommodating and they allowed us to have a dog on the patio. Everything on the menu sounded great. I went with the steak and eggs which was seasoned and cooked perfectly. My son ordered the chilaquiles (not pictured) and that was also good, not too spicy but flavorful. My other kids both othered the strawberry shortcake pancakes that were fluffy and sweet but not overly sweet. Lastly my husband ordered the chicken biscuits with gravy and holy smokes that was the best! So rich and filling! Overall, great food, good location and friendly staff. We'd be happy to come back again when we're in the area.

Came by for breakfast at 10 and they had ample indoor and outdoor seating available. The parking lot was not full but we had to park across the street, which was not far. We walked in and were greeted and seated immediately. Staff were friendly and polite. Items ordered: Soy chai- good drink but a tad too sweet for my taste. Wild smoked salmon scramble with biscuit and fruit- good flavor and smokiness from the smoked salmon, love their home made jam, and kids ate my biscuit (so it must have been good. Really enjoyed it last time). Breakfast burritos with chicken apple sausage- perfect sized portion and delicious Kids pancake with bacon- best of both worlds for my kiddo Chicken tenders with potatoes- another plus to have this available for my picky kid. He really loves his nuggets! Restaurant is very clean and modern.

Beach Plum was highly recommended when we were looking up a nice breakfast spot to eat! We thought it was going to be a long wait due to it saying to put your arrival time on their website (which I'm sure you should depending on the day) but we were sat immediately in a nice booth outside! I'm always looking for spots to have a gluten free meal and the fact that they have really great GF pancakes and other options, I was very happy with my food. Although, there was a minor issues with our coffee, the waitress was super attentive and even comped it off the bill. Overall, we will definitely be back for a quick and yummy meal at beach plum!

lemonade was absolutely to die for! blueberry flavored i believe and would come back just for that. pancake was good, fluffy, and my daughter loved. chilaquiles i am a connoisseur so it wasn't my favorite but mostly due to the salsa lacking flavor and spice. overall would definitely go again and try other dishes! service was excellent, and the place is clean with cute brunch vibes!

Supplemental Fee 5% added on top of total bill. Increases total bill and increase tax owed.
    J C.

Beware of Hidden Charge- Food was good. Ambience Good... However disappointed to see this sneaky little 5% fee added to the total. This brings up the total tax owed and gratuity if you are generally a big tipper as am I.

A very good sit down eatery for breakfast and lunch. Fresh house made everything. Servers were busy and operating at their own pace...which didn't seem to sit well with lunchtime business people wanting to get back to work. Fancy, well to do business people and small families and lots of youngsters. I had a very good small bowl of house made clam chowder. It needed Tabasco. The didn't have any. Good food just as their other sister stores nearby CritDicks

    Are there mimosa flights?

    Yes

Where's a good place for pancakes in Carlsbad NM?

I feel like you asked about a Carlsbad CA restaurant vs Carlsbad NM so you're getting a lot of misguided answers. Good luck.

He guided us through the menu and recommended ordering a variety of dishes to share from each category, which turned out to be a great suggestion. We started with the tomato appetizer, cornbread, and the standout dish of the night--the incredible head of broccoli. For our mains, our son and daughter-in-law shared the roasted chicken, while my husband and I shared the pork chop. But, to me, at the end of the day, it's a restaurant, and serving food that is basically burned to oblivion is probably not great. Even when camping, I would never be charring my food into dust. Got the cornbread, the broccoli head, the ribeye, and smores for dessert. Cornbread was good. Very unique! One of the few things I did like about this place. The broccoli and ribeye was just too much. The broccoli florets were cooked over fire until it was basically ash in mouth. Ribeye quality was decent, but again, the char taste covered any meat flavor. Left much to be desired. Unique experience. Would not be back again.

They had bread, but ordered more for us late comers. It was a while before a server came to the table, long enough that when he came to take our drink orders we had viewed the menu and were ready to order our food too. He was friendly and patient though. We again requested the bread that never came prior. They were somewhat busy as it was happy hour so we waited a bit. We just chatted and caught up. After a while we once again requested bread as it still hadn't been brought to us. Third time was a charm and we were finally brought bread. The bread was the highlight of the meal. Served warm, it is soft inside and crunchy out side with a soft butter accompaniment. Shortly thereafter, our food arrived except for one of our party's orders. Two people ordered firecracker shrimp and they were cold upon arrival. One decided to send it back. Sadly my scallops were so rubbery that the provided fork and spoon could barely cut through it. I hate sending food back so I ate it but it was pretty bad. The missing order arrived and it was supposed to be blackened fish tacos. The ratio of cabbage and salsa on top to the small amount of fish in the taco was disappointing, as was the lack of seasoning. Also, we would have liked more water but it was never offered and we didn't see the server until we waved him down for the check. I've tried a lot of items on their menu over the years but the lack of quality and consistency I experienced on this night may have me rethinking that choice, unfortunately.

I had just been to their "sister" restaurant "The Black Rail" for a wonderful Monday burger, fries and glass of wine special. That is what led me next door to Tinleaf. So, I went alone for lunch...ordered the " West Coast Cobb" salad, an order of extra crispy Belgian French fries and a lovely Chardonnay. When ordering French fries...you get your choice of SEVEN dipping sauces‼‼ The Garlic, Chive Aioli is a winner‼ My West Coast Cobb featured panko-crusted chicken breast, bacon bits, hard-boiled egg, Gorgonzola cheese, cucumber, tomatoes, avocado and lovely mixed greens with a Buttermilk dressing. Is that NOT "Heaven in a Bowl"⁉ My fries were plentiful and perfect. The garlic chive aioli sauce was outstanding for the fries and ALSO for the panko-crusted chicken. I noticed a VERY brisk take out vibe going on. And, I'm going to keep this in mind. BECAUSE...my salad and fries could have easily fed TWO people. I, however, ate EVERY bite. I'm thinking...if I take it "to go" I'll get home and only eat HALF and store the rest away. It could happen‼ I'm looking forward to working my way through the menu...Meatloaf Sandwich, Turkey Pot Pie, Tri Tip Steak Salad, Grilled Salmon Sandwich. I like how easy the set up is, you walk in, look at the menu, order and pay right away, then sit wherever you'd like while the food is brought out to you. Overall, the food quality was pretty decent. My family and I ordered family-style and tried a variety of items, including their salads, a mushroom plate, and the salmon. Everything was really good, although the salmon was a bit overcooked. I especially loved the fries that came with the salad. One thing I really liked is that they offer a lot of different combinations, so you can do something like half a sandwich with a soup or salad, or mix and match depending on what you're craving. They also have a convenient water station in the back corner, which is super handy. There's also an outdoor patio area, and it's such a cute spot, perfect for lounging with a drink, sandwich, or appetizer. Overall, I'd definitely recommend stopping by for a quick lunch with friends. The vibe feels much more lunch-focused than dinner, and the staff was super friendly. There were also a lot of to-go orders while we were there, so it's clear this place is very popular.
