They were so helpful recommending dresses as well as accessories that go together to pull everything together. I loved everyone at VIE so much I got my dress, my accessories, my mom's dress, my bridesmaids dresses, & my flower girl dress all at Veiled In Elegance. I highly recommend it, as does my whole bridal party! The seamstresses are also wonderful! Quality designer gowns you'll love in a quiet and calm atmosphere. Not big, loud, and crazy. I had an amazing experience at Veiled in Elegance. The shop was beautiful and everyone in it is friendly. This was my fourth wedding dress stop, and the first dress I put on was the one. Interesting, it was pulled by one of the gals would thought it would look great on me, and it did. I tried on more to make sure my feeling was right, but went back into the first dress. I purchased my dress, veil, belt and earnings from the store. All within my budget! Even though I live in the city, I commuted in so Kathy could work with me on the alternations. This woman is a miracle worker!! We had some challenges with the dress fit given my bust, and Kathy worked with me to built it up, and she ended up designing custom lace straps which turned my gown couture :-) The lace matched the dress perfectly, and she even mirrored the beading. My family and friends agreed the new design was perfect and seemed like it was always meant to be. Each and every visit was amazing. Everyone was so friendly, and worked to accommodate my schedule given I was coming in from the city. Kathy even came in on a day off and stayed late, true class an customer service. Veiled in Elegance is an amazing bridal store :) This was the first store I went to when I started dress shopping. I could've bought my dress on the spot, but I wanted to try on more just so I could be positive. I went to about 6 different stores afterward between Geneva, Chicago, and Michigan, and none of them offered an experience that could match up to Veiled in Elegance. Veiled in Elegance is a beautiful shop with a glamorous ambience and a stunning collection of dresses. My mom & I were helped by Denise and we cannot say enough good things about her. You can tell she is passionate about her job and it shines through; she truly went above and beyond in helping us. She made the experience so fun, and just so personable! Everything about Veiled in Elegance is just so lovely. Kathy, Peggy, and the rest of the ladies at Veiled in Elegance just made my whole wedding dress experience so fun, so enjoyable and I never once had to worry about anything. I knew it would all be taken care of even down to alterations. After some minor alterations(cause Kathy is awesome and ordered the perfect size dress for me) my dress looked like it was made for me. I would wear it every day if I could. So, I was one of those brides who had NO idea what I was looking for. I was torn between fit and flair and a-line. They never made me feel rushed to make a decision. Now, on to the veil. I really wanted and always envisioned wearing a bird cage veil. Kathy picked out THE PERFECT birde cage veil. I went to Veiled in Elegance for my bridal alterations and couldn't be happier! Kathy, Vicki and Elizabeth were fantastic throughout the entire process. Working with Vicki, their seamstress, put me at such ease. She is so sweet and enjoyable to work with, not to mention extremely talented. My dress was intricately beaded, and she took it in exactly where needed to fit me perfectly. The biggest piece of my alterations was my custom veil. I had purchased a very elaborate piece of lace with pearls and roses, and was very nervous that it couldn't be turned into the veil I was envisioning. Vicki eliminated my worries and created the most gorgeous veil I have ever seen! I still haven't stopped receiving compliments about it! I am so grateful for Vicki and Veiled in Elegance for truly bringing my vision to life and allowing me to feel even more beautiful than I could have imagined. read more

This bridal shop is very small compared to others, and didn't have a huge selection. This would be best if you are looking for more of a boutique shop. There was only one dress close to what I was looking for. When I asked the cost it was about $1,000 over my budget. I was willing to go over budget if it was a small amount, but I'm not sure why they had me the one on that was that much above my budget when they were aware of my budget. read more

Very disappointed! Was there for my daughter's wedding dress and there was no warm welcome, no questions about the type of wedding she was having or even if she had a budget. Very little personal assistance in the fitting room, the wedding dresses were passed back-and-forth through the curtain and then my daughter had to ask for assistance to have dresses pinched to fit her properly. We never knew the first woman's name who helped us and was constantly called away and when the next girl came to help we never knew her name either. While we did have an appointment, and we were on time, it felt like we were an intrusion! Very very disappointed compared to the place around the corner where we returned from earlier in the day and ended up purchasing a dress! read more

I am so happy I got my wedding dress from Veiled in Elegance. A few days after I got engaged my mother and I made an unplanned visit to look at dresses. We were both so excited about the engagement we couldn't wait to try on dresses. Kathy took us without an appointment and showed me many beautiful dresses. I fell in love with the last dress I tried on. I had some issues with the dress not fitting a few days before the wedding but they were able to make the alterations quickly and when I picked it up the day before my wedding it was perfect! What a wonderful shop! I stopped in with my mom (without an appointment) last weekend and Elizabeth welcomed us in and made time for me to try on about 10 dresses! Although I didn't end up purchasing my dress here, I just cannot say enough nice things about Elizabeth. She was so helpful and sweet - just a wonderful kind soul. You can tell she loves her job! I was very disappointed in my experience with this shop. My mom and I were at Elizabeth Wrays next door doing wedding planning and she suggested we stop into this shop to look for a belt for my dress. We didn't have an appointment but the shop was empty when we stop in. The nicest girl was working and showed us all the belts they had and we instantly fell in love with one of them. The belt was a little bit more than we wanted to spend so we said we would go grab lunch and be back since we had some questions about timing for the owner who was not in at the moment. When we returned about an hour later the owner was in and we told her we wanted to order the belt but needed to make sure it would be in in time for the wedding; she gave us vague answers and said it should be in(not what you want to hear for an important piece of your wedding day). The owners was just very dismissive of me and my mother and treated us like we were not worth her time. Sorry but as a small business owner I would be thrilled to have an easy $750 sale that required 15mins of time but apparently we weren't good enough for her. When it came time to measure for the belt her nice employee measured me and then they were whispering behind my back bc apparently my measurements but me in a special order....I'm not offended just be honest and tell me without whispering behind my back!!! My mom and I didn't want spend an unknown amount of extra money so we ordered the small size and thought we'd add ribbon if needed (fit perfectly when it came in.) Overall I absolutely love my belt but the owner made me feel awful!!! Sorry I'm not buying one of your dresses but I'm still purchasing something you should treat me just like anyone else. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Bridal boutiques are a dime a dozen go somewhere were you feel appreciated not like a nuisance. If it wasn't for her employee on the first visit we would have left with nothing and spent our money somewhere else! read more

Originally we had an appointment down the street to look for mix and match bridesmaids dresses and had a bit of time to kill before the appointment so we called Veiled in Elegance to see if they could fit us in. Luckily we were able to walk in 10 minutes later! The women who work here are so sweet and funny. My two bridesmaids found some very pretty dresses that didn't make them feel like quite so much of a bridesmaid. Throughout our basically walk-in appointment we had suggestions and input from at least two of the girls working, and one even thought to pull a dress off a window display for my bridesmaid to try - it ended up being her dress! I can't speak to a bridal appointment, but they carry some seriously gorgeous wedding gowns. I had already purchased elsewhere but while my girls were trying on dresses the woman helping and I chatted and ooh'ed and ahh'ed over their newest dresses. Sidenote: They are clip ninjas. Before the girls could say anything about the fit of a dress they had it clipped and into place so they could get a better feel for the finished product. Very Important! You can really tell they enjoy their job. Thank you for the very fun experience, the next store's stock didn't hold a candle to what we found here and I can't wait to see how they'll all look next spring. read more

This is the best wedding dress shopping experience I have had by far. I worked with Diane and she is the sweetest kindest lady. She is genuine, sincere and accommodating. I have a back issue and have very particular things that look good and some that don't. She was so understanding and really listened and understood my concerns. My mom and I had so much fun working with her. We brought in a fake bouquet to see how it looks with dresses and first thing she did was wrapp it in a satin bow. I could rave about Diane non-stop. Some might say they have a smaller selection of dresses than other stores however they had the most dresses that I loved here. If you like more minimalist, elegant dresses this is the place to go. My original dress, which was not purchased at this boutique, was ruined in a house fire 12 days before my wedding. I called veiled in elegance in tears and Kathy was able to get me in the next day to try on dresses. She was extremely kind, thoughtful and patient with my mother and I. As we were going through one of the hardest times in our family, it was causing great stress to us and the ladies at this store provided excellent service and kindness to us which helped us through this time. From the very beginning, Kathy and the other staff blew me away with how kind and accommodating they were. I ended up finding the perfect dress, accessories, and flower girl dresses all at this wonderful boutique. Vicki, who does the alterations, is absolutely incredible. I went to Veiled in Elegance for my junior bridesmaid and my mother and they absolutely exceeded expectations. I wish more bridal salons accommodated others in such a personal and touching way. Veiled in Elegance have been simply wonderful to work with. I stumbled upon them after ordering my Angela Nuren shoes from them. Upon pickup, I tried dresses on with them on a whim. I had no intention of purchasing a dress all the way to Geneva from my house, but they were gracious, honest (you know, I don't think that's your best look!), fun, understood my needs, and accommodating. Purchasing my wedding dress from Veiled in Elegance was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Kathy and the rest of the staff are incredible and went above and beyond to make sure my wedding dress was exactly what I wanted. I ended up choosing the dress of my dreams which had a lot of lace detail on it, and I even requested some serious alterations to make the neckline more of a v-neck/sweetheart, which is not even close to what the original neckline looked like. Throughout the entire process everyone at Veiled in Elegance made sure I was nothing short of completely satisfied. During the alteration/fitting process, there was one instance that my mother couldn't make it to an appointment and Kathy did not leave my side the entire time and was so helpful with giving the seamstress guidance and asking me questions to make sure it was perfect, and the final result was MORE than perfect.
