We always talked about replacing it, but life happened and we never did. This past Christmas, my husband surprised me with a new and improved version of that original ring. My plan was to wear it stacked with my engagement ring, but once I tried them together, it just didn't feel right. I still wanted to wear it though, especially on days when I'm not wearing my engagement ring. The challenge was that my right hand is slightly larger than my left. I'll be the first to admit I am not an easy customer. I was very indecisive and in and out of the store more times than I'd like to admit. Timothy Grant truly went above and beyond, taking the time to make sure my ring was sized perfectly and exactly what I needed. I never felt rushed or pressured, only supported. Just popped in again to pick up my necklace. I have a small cross on it and two briolette diamonds…read moreand those two stones kept finding their way through the bale and you could never see them. Mike, their Master Jeweler suggested something so I never have to worry about the three pieces clumping together again. He attached the cross permanently to the center of the chain by using a laser and then affixed one of the briolettes a little way up from the cross and the second one about an inch higher, also laser attached. (vs soldering) Problem solved and I LOVE it! I never have to worry about them sliding together again and not being seen. The two stones are valuable and I am happy they'll no longer be hidden along with the tiny sapphire and diamond cross. Haven't checked them out yet at Timothy Grant? Don't wait any longer!! When you sell merchandise you then expect the buyer to resell more to the next person which is why I found this transaction to be disheartening. I recently inherited some silver jewelry. I cannot wear silver. Because of the positive reviews and that my husband used Alvarez to purchase batteries for his watch he took the jewelry to them. The jewelry was weighed and a price was quoted. My husband asked if the quote would still be honored the following day. Alvarez said yes. After coming home and discussing it with me we decided to accept the offer. My husband went back to Alvarez the SAME day and he lowered the price from the original offer. Obviously my husband asked why? The WOMAN said, its because you probably took the jewelry to other places and came back here because our offer was better. Huh? Seriously? What a rude and unprofessional thing to say. I will be honest and say that my husband eventually took the lowballed amount but for the difference it was not worthwhile to try and pursue. I have learned some very valuable lessons. TRUST NO ONE. Always get a quote in writing and that someone's verbal words are only as good as the person giving it. I sincerely hope that Alvarez Jewelers enjoys the money that they shorted from us as apparently Alvarez Jewelry needed the whopping $50 more than we did.

Although we did not know it at the time, the person who helped us broke two of the four screws that hold the back of the watch on. The person then handed us a small plastic bag containing the parts that used to be the watch. She said we would have to send the watch somewhere to be fixed. We then wrote a review of the incident on Yelp. A representative of Timothy Grant Jewelry called and asked us to bring back the bag of watch parts for repair. We came back with the bag and Timothy Grant Jewelry "repaired" the watch and asked us to take down the Yelp review, which we did. We paid for the new battery and left the establishment. This month the watch needed a new battery. We took the watch to a reputable jeweler. When he opened the watch to replace the battery, he told us that 2 of the 4 screws that hold the back to the watch are broken and the heads of the screws were glued in to present the appearance that the watch is whole. We then attempted to communicate with Timothy Grant Jewelry to resolve our issue. There has to date been no response from Timothy Grant Jewelry. We have had three negative experiences, first he broke the screws that held our watch together and handed us a bag of parts that used to be our watch, second he claimed he fixed the watch but fooled us with a fake repair by gluing the heads of screws to the watch, third he would to respond to us in any way to resolve the issue.

We ended up getting some cute rings for $5 a pop and we all agreed that the woman (Angie I think) was super warm and welcoming. We would come back based on her alone!
