There's about 6 girls working only 2 actually prepping, and a line out the door waiting just for mobile orders that are already made in the fridge. The smoothie recipe's are particularly wonderful - there is such a wide variety for whatever mood you are in. Need caffeine in your smoothie? They've got it. Want a beet smoothie? Got it. When I heard there was a juice bar in Plymouth, I could not wait to try. I knew people from all around town really enjoyed this place. My best friend goes there on her lunch break all the time. I stopped there and I got a delicious immunity shot and I grabbed two of their famous açai bowls to go for my sister and I. It was delicious. It's definitely a shareable size. The portion is large. There is a lot going on between the açai, fruit, granola, and peanut butter. It is very delicious, but you have to eat it fast before it melts. I also got one of their vegan chocolate chip muffins for later which was a great call, that was absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed their peanut butter and granola balls that are homemade. Those are great to snack on after a workout. My best friend and I had smoothies there, and I got there almond butter and banana smoothie. It was delicious! Overall, in one week I went three times and I was never disappointed. The prices are pretty on par for what you would expect from any Juicery. There is street parking outside and they accept all forms of payment. Everyone who works there is super nice and there's a really great vibe there. Seating is limited so make sure you either order to go, or snag a seat as soon as you can! BROWN POISON TASTING CELERY JUICE I am not usually one for leaving negative reviews, however, I feel this is important feedback. I am a regular celery juicer and drink celery juice for it's healing properties. Vela is not using high quality celery, my juice was a brownish color and tasted like poison. I drank the whole thing trying not to be too snobby and the last few sips put chills down my spine and it was really tough to take down. I should have trusted the taste and thrown it away. I got a celery juice a few days later from another place and it was green and fresh. HUGE DIFFERENCE. Vela, celery is part of the dirty dozen, it's so important to use organic celery. The drinks are good, the food is good, but I give this place three stars because of the inconsistency and it's long wait times even when empty. It's also quite expensive, although some may argue the ingredients make the cost worth it. Sometimes the fridge is stocked with fresh juice and prepared food, sometimes it's not. I like to stop in and grab food for my day at work but you cannot depend on them for that. The last straw for me was arriving at 7 o'clock in the morning (right when they open) and then having to wait for service because they take call aheads over walk in's. I stood there for over 10 minutes waiting for someone to take my order while they made food for people who weren't there. If well-managed and staffed appropriately there would be people who could make the meals for the call ahead and people to attend to those who walk in. All of us in line were upset. Unfortunately this is the last time Vela and it's poor staffing and management will make me late for work. I will not be going back. read more

They don't even say "we'll be right with you". We tried to go in and order and no one was acknowledging us so we went outside to call and order figuring they were busy.
