Went here for a quick bite to eat. Service was efficient. Friend grabbed a breakfast sandwich on a bagel -- she loved it. I got a banana nut muffin. The muffin was moist and had a great banana flavor. Not too expensive and the parking is convenient -- across the street. read more

Came here for coffee and ended up with an açaí bowl. They don't offer lates or cappuccinos so I opted for a sugar high. The ambiance is great, especially outside on the deck. The service was fast and the staff was friendly. The presentation of the açaí bowl was decent enough but a little too sweet. Also, I found a tiny fruit fly on one of the banana slices. Nice place for breakfast! Very close to our hotel and they open early at 7am. I had a Turkey sandwich for breakfast bc it seemed biting to have a taste of Thanksgiving in Plymouth. Wow!! I feel like I am a connoisseur of bananas foster pancakes, and am always trying to find some with the perfect balance of sugar, delicious sauce, and cooked banana. These pancakes hit it out of the park! The BEST have ever had!! Quite near perfection! Highly recommend! The breakfast sandwich on a bagel had a nice freshly fried egg and bacon, although the cheese seemed to be missing, and bagel was sadly soft and certainly not a NY bagel. It tasted like an out-of-the-plastic bag supermarket bagel. Also, if a restaurant bills itself as a breakfast/brunch venue, they should serve a decent cup of coffee, not the weak, flavorless drink I couldn't bear to finish. What a great find!! We went for Memorial Day mid morning breakfast. Very fresh, very tasty. Not greasy at all. Great variety on the menu. You order yourself and the food gets delivered to your seat. Loved it! They also had a gentleman named Ken Montiero playing acoustic (which happens to be a favorite of mine) If you have a chance to see him, I recommend you go. I was helping organize a birthday party for my sister who is gluten-free. I was trying so hard to find a place around town that had gluten-free wraps or sandwiches. I finally came across Local Roots which I was already turned onto. They are new in the Plymouth area and offer a healthy selection and wide range of gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, and just plain healthy food options. They have a wonderful breakfast selection including acai bowls and smoothies. They have incredible lunch options including sandwiches, wraps, salads, and more. They also even have something delicious called Coco Whip which is kind of like frozen yogurt but healthier. It's made from coconut water and has less sugar. You get to choose your topping and make it as healthy or... Not healthy as you want. I was only home for about 10 days and I not only made that big order at Local Roots for my sister's birthday party, but I went there several times to try a few different sandwiches, and of course their unforgettable Coco Whip. I got on the phone with Scott who is the manager and he was so delightful. He took my order and since I was unfamiliar with the menu and he helped steer me in the right direction. He also included chips on the house which I thought was so nice. Overall, I think their prices are a little bit higher because you're paying for the healthand quality of the food you're putting in your body, also parking is sparse as it's mostly street parking. I don't live in the area but I can't wait to return in September and get myself a smoothie which I never got to try. Shout out to Scott and the rest of this week girls who work there. We have been there a few times, and the food was solid and good drinks. We were there today, and my husband found a shard of plastic in his smoothie (it was actually in his mouth.) We notified the waitress, and she took the remainder of the smoothie away (about half still there) and the plastic. The owner/manager never addressed it with us. No apology or acknowledgment. I can't imagine owning a restaurant where a customer finds a foreign body in his food without management offering an apology. The sandwich itself is on the menu for 17$ I believe? I paid 43$? Her gluten free bread on the sandwich was no bigger than a saltine. Took them 25 minutes to make 2 BLT's that had no taste. I've been to Local Roots several times and the food was good but today it was a horrible experience. I ordered the Cajun shrimp mango salad which was inedible. Lots of rotted baby spinach. And the silver wear was VERY dirty! $42 for lunch for two people ( no smoothies or dessert) and we left there hungry. One harried person was the lone person working. Nice place on the waterfront. We visited this weekend. First off, all of Plymouth was BUSY, so maybe that is why the girl at the counter seemed a bit curt. But our server was a sweet young girl who was happy to serve us with a smile. The food was good, a little pricey but thats to be expected in that area. Avoid the cocowhip 'ice cream' unless you can sample it first. Not sure what happened but the coco whip was all but inedible. I have to hope that someone just messed up the process and we got a bad batch, because I've had coco whip other places and it's been great, but our experience with it here was awful - it was grainy and overly oily and beyond disappointing. We had purchased to go and were unable to go back to return it, but I'm also hesitant to return for a second attempt after this disappointing experience. I'd suggest asking for a sample before buying - especially since it's ridiculously expensive. read more

We were super excited to try this place during our week in Plymouth. We went twice. First, we tried the coco whip. The workers behind the counter were a little short with us as we asked some questions about the coco whip and other products, and while we ordered. We chalked it up the intense humidity and heat wave that day. The coco whip was decent enough (I've never had it before to compare). I ate it because the toppings were delicious! Wouldn't get it again though. I went back the next day to get their coffee smoothie, Prana Boost, that looked delicious on the menu. The service attitude that day was similarly short with me and nobody behind the counter seemed happy - it was kind of awkward. The smoothie was good but nothing spectacular. Got my husband the same one and he didn't like it (and he usually loves anything with coffee and bananas). Hopefully their sandwiches and lunch items are better but we won't be going back to try. read more

Super disappointed. My family tried to get me breakfast for Mother's Day and after double checking with the cashier that my order was in the bags they realized once they got home it wasn't there. I called just to get a refund and was told they would have to write my card number down on receipt paper and pass it to a manager. That's super illegal and was told it's just too busy to do anything else. It being busy is not my problem. I was then given an attitude by the owner and told "well, if you just let her write your card number down on the receipt paper it would have been easier" a lot of things that are illegal are easy, doesn't mean you should do them... also, if you're forgetting orders how am I supposed to trust you with my literal credit card number on receipt paper being passed around a restaurant? I've been here several times before but after being spoken to like this I won't be back. I have a feeling the hype of last season may have gotten to their head. You made a mistake, just fix it without giving a customer an attitude. Worst part is that the food we did get was awful. The pancakes were so raw they were inedible and the donuts were so greasy the bottom of the bag broke out and again, completely inedible. Really disappointed. Waste of time and money. read more
