    Bananas Foster Pancakes
    Brittney C.

Wow!! I feel like I am a connoisseur of bananas foster pancakes, and am always trying to find some with the perfect balance of sugar, delicious sauce, and cooked banana. These pancakes hit it out of the park! The BEST have ever had!! Quite near perfection! Highly recommend! The Monte Cristo was also good, I feel like I was missing some delicious swiss cheese to go with the sammy, but it could hold it's own. We loved the patio area outside. It was beautiful! Nice shaded areas with a view of the ocean. Such a nice relaxing place to hang out and enjoy time with family and friends. Definitely recommend!!!

This is a nice location at the Plymouth waterfront with a partial view of the water. The pastrami melt was perfect on the patio on a beautiful spring day. Very nice staff.

Nice place for breakfast! Very close to our hotel and they open early at 7am. I had a Turkey sandwich for breakfast bc it seemed biting to have a taste of Thanksgiving in Plymouth. My kids had standard breakfast food and it was reasonably priced. This pace is counter service and they bring the food to your table. We went on a lovely August morning. I can imagine it isn't great in bad weather.

    Local Açaí Bowl

Came here for coffee and ended up with an açaí bowl. They don't offer lates or cappuccinos so I opted for a sugar high. The ambiance is great, especially outside on the deck. The service was fast and the staff was friendly. The presentation of the açaí bowl was decent enough but a little too sweet. Also, I found a tiny fruit fly on one of the banana slices. For the price, the bowl really wasn't worth it. Overall, this experience was average.

Stayed in Plymouth over the weekend. Local Roots had a nice vibe with friendly employees. The breakfast sandwich was really delicious and a bonus was a live musician playing outside.

Bloody Mary amazing. Breakfast burrito perfect with home fried potatoes. Also tried a bite of the fried chicken sandwich. That is so so so good.

Ordered a protein bowl off the açaí bowls and it was a soupy mess a dog wouldn't eat. Pretty disappointing.

We first wandered in on a cold, rainy afternoon and were immediately charmed by the cozy atmosphere. The service was warm and welcoming, and everywhere we looked, steaming plates of comfort food were making their way to happy diners. The cod Reuben with sweet potato fries was outstanding, and the clam chowder was exceptional. In fact, after trying chowder at six different places during our trip, my husband and I both agreed this was our favorite by far. The shepherd's pie looked incredible as it passed our table, but we'll have to save that for next time. The only real downside is the limited parking, but it's a small trade-off for such a wonderful spot. If you're in the area, don't miss this hidden gem!

Unfortunately, we left pretty confused about where the 4.5 stars are coming from. We were seated quickly, and the staff was genuinely very nice and welcoming. We had a booth, although it was oddly high and uncomfortable for me at 5'3" because my feet could barely reach the ledge. Service was pleasant, but after we ordered, no one really checked in on us. Our table tried quite a bit: the Reuben, classic New England cod, another cod and clam dish, clam chowder, and a pretzel. The clam chowder was probably the highlight. It had good flavor, although I would have loved more actual clams. The wine was mediocre. Unfortunately, the rest of the food was about a 5/10 for us. Nothing was terrible, but most of it was surprisingly bland and just not memorable. My cod and clam dish was especially disappointing. It came with four very large clams, but one was completely closed and should never have made it onto the plate. The cod, potatoes, and other ingredients were sitting in a pool of cream sauce, yet somehow the dish still tasted underseasoned. It felt more like something I could have steamed and put together myself at home for a simple, healthy weeknight dinner rather than something I'd be excited to order at a restaurant. Maybe we caught the kitchen on an off day, because the consistently high ratings made us expect much more. We specifically chose this place based on those reviews instead of going somewhere with a view and slightly lower ratings. In the end, we got neither the view nor particularly good food, which was disappointing. The kind staff and clam chowder were the bright spots, but based on our meal, I personally wouldn't rate the overall experience anywhere near 4.5 stars.

Bartender handled the whole joint on a Saturday lunch. -- Patty Melt: Nice straddling between traditional and innovative. Brisket patty, neither thick nor thin, with a soft grind, cooked showing pink (I asked for medium rare if possible). Bacon-onion-jalapeño jam with some zip and bacon saltiness and bendy texture. Caramelized onions with a hint of sweetness. Partly-melted American cheese. Griddled marble rye with unnoticeable butter. Not perfection, but an enjoyable mix of flavors and textures. -- Fries (with the patty melt): Thin, crunchy shoestrings, aggressively salted, in assorted lengths. -- Quinoa Bowl: Bright flavors, good textures, per my wife. -- Ginger Soda: Made in house, string Ginger flavors, not too much sugar. Very good, though at $7, it's gotta be something you're certain you want. Solid experience. Hard to get a full picture without trying more things, but good enough to try more. And many good options for vegetarian dishes and mocktails.
