Ve'Lace Bridal was wonderful to work with. They helped me find the perfect dress! Each time I was in the shop for a fitting, they were attentive, helpful, and excited about my wedding. I also used them for alterations. Natalie did an amazing job! My dress was all lace that had to be hand sewed and it was impeccable work. The one thing I was slightly disappointed about was not being able to take photos when I tried on dresses during my first appointment. I had a great experience dress shopping at Ve'Lace bridal with Micayla as my stylist. The shop is brightly lit and cheery, and we were offered champagne upon arrival which was a nice touch. We did have to wait awhile beyond the scheduled appt. time but it was worth the wait for their beautiful selection of dresses that were reasonably priced. I loosely explained to Micayla what I was looking for although I didn't know EXACTLY what I wanted (knew my silhouette but was exploring different necklines and lace styles.) I have to say that Micayla absolutely killed it with the dresses she pulled for me. I probably tried on 10 dresses and can honestly say there was not one dress she put me in that I did not like. Ultimately I ended up choosing one that was slightly more traditional than the boho look I thought I wanted, but will absolutely perfect for my garden wedding next September. The dress was $100 over my budget but Micayla even knocked off the $100 to make it fit my budget. I can't speak to their alteration services as my dress has not shipped yet but for dress selection at reasonable prices and great service from Micayla, Ve'Lace gets 5/5 :) read more

I only gave this place a 1 because I couldn't give a 0. So disappointed with this boutique. Ve'Lace was the only boutique that had the bridesmaid dresses my sister wanted. The dress costed between 250-275 plus rushed delivery. When they measured each of us they told me I was a size 10 when I normally wear a size 2-4. I made a face when she told me a size 10 but she reassured me it would be fine and that I would need to get it tailored regardless. I trusted her bc she's the peofwssiand said ok.. I figured at most I would just need to shorten the length. Same thing happened with the other two bridesmaids that ordered from here. The dress comes in and it's twice my size. It didn't fit right in any part of my body. So I called her disappointed and all and she just said that mori lee has special sizes and they unfortunately this always happens with bridesmaid dresses. But why can I order a dress from Macy's and it'll fit me just right without any alterations? I asked her how much tailoring would cost she said probably 50-75$. I said ok whatever since there was no time to return the dress anyway. I brought it to the tailor they recommended and the tailor was just as shocked as we were! The price ended up being 175$ to alter the dress. We called back velace and just got a bunch of excuses: no dress would fit your body right (which btw you should never say to your customer), it could have been because you guys were wearing clothes so measurements were off (but still that's their fault not ours). At the end, they couldn't do anything about it! I'm so disappointed and would not return here! Terrible customer service!!! read more

Came here to try on a dress that I have been trying to find everywhere. The shop is nice an cozy, probably best for one bride-to-be at a time, large mirrors, beautiful couches for your party to sit in. Elizabeth was a charm!! Extremely helpful and patient with me as I am all over the place with the different styles I like. She took the time to really hear what I had to say on my thoughts of each dress, what I loved and didn't love about it, and offered very useful advice. I brought 5 of my 7 bridesmaids here this past weekend after reading the positive reviews. We were looking for specific Bill Levkof bridesmaids dresses in three different styles. I had called two weeks in advance and confirmed that they carry all three styles so we would be able to try them on and measure. Initially the appointment went fine, however the third style dress I had called about could not be found- I was instructed I could look for others to try, however we had already settled on these three. We found a similar style by the same designer to use for fitting purposes. My first bridesmaid tried this one on and was shocked that her slim size 4 figure could not fit into the size 10, however my size 14 sister fit loosely in the 12 ( I understand bridal and bridesmaid sizes run differently). Our consultant had little input on what sizes would be appropriate and began to take notes on who wanted which dress and what size. My pregnant matron of honor asked how she would be able to find the appropriate size since she is currently in her second trimester. The consultant repeatedly offered to measure her, ignoring the fact we repeatedly told her she is pregnant. She finally said "well how pregnant are you?" 6 Months! She is 6 months pregnant and no where near her normal size! She did not give any suggestion. The first bridesmaid who could not fit into a ten asked to be measured so we knew what size to order. We were told that she would be measured when we come back to order. I politely informed her that five of my seven bridesmaids live out of state and we would not be able to come back and would order once the last two (in Maryland) got sized locally. The consultant repeatedly asked if we were sure we could not come back and then let me know we could order over the phone with a credit card- great, that is what we were hoping for, however we still did not know bridesmaid #1's size. I asked again if she could be measured and the consultant suggested she go to a DIFFERENT salon, get measured, and call back and order through Ve'Lace. Now why in the world would we do that when we just traveled all this way to try them on? I insisted since we had made the trip that she get measured. Upon measuring, the consultant went out of her way to keep the measurements private. I asked that she tell us what her measurements or dress size was and was informed she would tell us when we paid for the dresses. --I let her know that there were seven bridesmaids who would likely be spending upwards of $1600 here and she simply wanted to know what size she would need since it was more than four sizes above her normal clothes. She informed me that policy would not allow her to share this information until we pay for the dresses. Now, I am a reasonable person, I understand the reasoning behind this- to avoid coming and getting measured and purchasing elsewhere- HOWEVER- she SEVERAL times suggested that bridesmaid #1 go to another salon to get measured, and then call and purchase here. Unacceptable in my book. Luckily several of my other bridesmaids fit perfectly in the samples and now know their size and we will now be purchasing at another salon closer to home. read more

Although, I wish she had done this in the first place, rather than messaging me asking for my personal information so she could pursue legal action against my opinion. I am NOT a liar and nothing I said was false. I will not be told that my opinion on my experience was not truthful. The past cannot be changed and the group of people I was with walked away unhappy with your services, I am sorry that you do not think we should have felt that way. VeLace is absolutely incredible in every possible way. I had such an amazing experience buying my wedding dress from here. Shadia the owner is so sweet, unbelievably helpful, and beyond kind. Her entire staff was so helpful, my seamstress did a flawless job on my alterations, and every fitting went seamlessly. The hospitality was exquisite; you never feel rushed in or out, you have full undivided attention, and they treat you like a true bride (not like just another appt at David's bridal). The prices were extremely reasonable and every gown I tried on was stunning. I went in having zero idea what style/shape dress I wanted; they helped me to try on several of each style to narrow down on what I truly wanted for my special day. My appointment ended up running over by a half hour and I was not rushed out the door, they helped me say yes to the dress on my first appointment! My wedding will be a destination wedding and they were kind enough to offer to pack up my dress in my suitcase for me to ensure it was safely folded for my flight. They answered all of my questions and really helped me understand the process of getting a bridesmaids! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - FROM THE OWNER I went in and told them my budget was $500 and I found my dress for a little over $500 and the associate was helpful and she decided to throw on a veil and sash without me asking, and I did like how I looked, however I came there for only a dress, so I said yes to my DRESS and was rushed into the hanging room, so I EXPECTED to go over pricing when I got out of the dressing room. Instead they had already charged my mother's card in full for everything WITHOUT consulting with me, the bride. and WITHOUT telling my mom or I the prices for the veil and sash and WITHOUT telling my mom the total before she took her card. So I called first thing the next morning ( a Saturday ) and was promised I would hear back from the owner and I never did so I had to call AGAIN and go in there personally on Tuesday to took to her. She claims there is nothing she can do and that she already emailed the order and emailed them to see if she could cancel, so I asked when she emailed them and to se it and she refused to tell me and show me. So I believe she was lying the whole time. She said she would call me that night after she called the vendor and I yet again DID NOT HEAR FROM HER. So I had to call her the next afternoon. She was VERY RUDE to me on the phone and said it was my responsibility to ask how much everything was going to be and I said I would have asked if they had waited for me to get out of the dressing room. I continued to say they should NEVER of charged us without going over prices especially knowing it was over my price range. She then hung up on me THREE TIMES and told me if I called back she would call the police on me. I kept calling back for it to be refunded AND to know when I was going to get my veil in and she wouldn't tell me. At the very least I expected her to admit they were wrong by not telling us the prices before they charged us and to refund the money and she could of sold the sash to another bride. they were very pushy and very sneaky charging us for the sash and veil before telling us the prices. I am only getting married once and this was suppose to be a happy memory for me and it was completely ruined by her. FUTURE BRIDES I would advise you to think twice before going here. read more

The staff was great and really cared about what I was looking for. This was the only place, however, that I have been to that did not allow photos, and I knew that was extremely important for decision making. If I pay that much money for a dress I will wear one day, then I'll have to sleep on it and refer back to my pictures. I am very grateful that they asked what I was looking for and tried to find dresses for me, but the ones I were brought, I didn't really like. I have nothing but love for Shadia & Sandy. After a long day of dress shopping at two other shops, I'm SO glad that I saved, what I'd hoped to be the best, for last...and that it was! I had such a great feeling from the moment we walked in and were warmly welcomed by Sandy and Shadia. After sitting down and talking to Sandy about all of the things I was looking for in a dress, she eagerly went to pull some dresses for me. I loved how excited she was to #1 go find the dresses, and #2 to show me her findings. When I initially told her all of the little things that I liked about the dresses that I tried on throughout the day (at other shops), she said that she had the perfect dress in mind. When she showed me the group of dresses that she pulled for me, there was one that I absolutely loved and I said "I want to try THAT one on first!" She said "That's the one I thought you were going to love!" All of the dresses that she picked were beautiful, and right up my alley, but there were two that it came down to. I finally chose the one! That first one that came to Sandy's mind in the beginning. Sandy knows what she's doing. She listens to all of your wants, needs, visions, and in my case, she was like a fairy god mother. She found that perfect dress for me! After "saying YES to the dress" I felt like royalty while Sandy & Shadia took turns trying different accessories on me while I sipped champagne! I went to Ve'Lace Bridal to try on dresses for my June 2017 wedding. I am an older bride (51) and was very nervous about the whole process. I was greeted by Sandy who put me at ease and made the whole process so enjoyable. She picked out the perfect dresses for me and helped to make them look great on me, offering suggestions about different ways the dresses could be altered to my liking! There were so many beautiful dresses to choose from and in the end, I chose the perfect dress that made me feel beautiful -thanks to Sandy!! I just bought my dress at Ve'Lace after trying 9 other stores and about 100 dresses. I described what I wanted to Sandy and Shadia, and they knew just the dress for me. They pulled it off the rack and I was in love. They asked great questions to help me make the decision, and they made the whole process really fun. It was comfortable and stress-free. I have never written a review before on any web site. I am a manager of a customer service department and have never been treated so disrespectful as I have from the owner of this business. I am the Mother of the Bride and purchased a $500 dress and had alterations that the seamstress ruined the dress and the owner agreed but refused to reimburse my $100 alteration fee but offered $50 reimbursement. I was expecting at least the total $100 reimbursement if not the total reimbursement for the dress that I can no longer wear! The owner did not care of my dilemma and only stated this was her livelihood. Perhaps the owner should think about going into another line of business considering a wedding day should be the happiest day of someone's life... Something she knows nothing about or cares about!!! Before I found Ve'Lace, I had visited another bridal store, and almost settled for a dress that wasn't right for me. My experience at Ve'Lace was nothing like my prior experience. My appointments with Shadia always felt important and personal. Shadia was so helpful and attentive! After my first visit, I was still unsure whether I was ready to commit to my dress. Shadia actually encouraged me to make a follow-up appointment, send her photos of dresses and details I saw that I liked, and to definitely NOT rush my decision if I wasn't sure. Her advice, and her commitment to my experience as a bride (instead of merely the sale), resulted in me being so deeply thrilled with my choice. Shadia understands how important the wedding day is to every bride who comes in her shop. I have never felt more beautiful than I do in the dress I chose, and I am so thrilled for my fiancé to see it on Saturday. I found out about Ve'Lace Bridal via friends poating about their experiences on Facebook and I decided that I would go shopping there for my wedding gown. I am so so glad that I chose to go there. I could not be happier about my experiences: I went on two occasions, once in July before I had gastric bypass surgery, and the second time just a couple of days ago since my wedding is about a year out! The first time I went was to get a feel for the experience and I loved it. I loved the people, the store, the atmosphere, the dresses - everything! The second time around, I loved it even more because I felt more confident due to my weight loss progress so far, and I ended up finding the dress of my dreams!!! My dress shopping experience started at another bridal boutique where I found 2 dresses I loved. I went back to that boutique to try the 2 dresses on again to refresh my memory and put some serious thought into the huge decision I needed to make. The first time there was fine, the second was horrible. I wanted to cry the consultant treated me so poorly. When I went to Ve'Lace my experience from start to finish with Sandra was amazing. I showed her the 2 styles I loved, right away she was very knowledgeable about both dresses. We agreed that I wanted to try on some new styles. She ended up pulling some beautiful dresses, and she found my perfect dress, a mixture of what I loved in the 2 original dresses but the dress didn't have what I disliked in the 2 original. Sandra was professional and fun to work with. She made me feel so comfortable while helping me change into each dress. I never felt rushed. This is the boutique to go to and Sandra is the girl to ask for!!! read more

I had gone to Ve'Lace as my first stop for bridal gown shopping last summer and absolutely loved the shop! The few shops I had gone to after just didn't cut it for me. The shop is adorable, well-kept, clean.. The only one thing I wish could be different is the amount of steps there are to get up to the 2nd floor; my grandmother was a huge part of my wedding planning/dress shopping, so it was a bit difficult for her to do each time we went for appts. Nevertheless, Shadia was professional, respectful, and so helpful through the entire process. I also had my alterations done by one of her seamstresses, I can't recall her name, but she was also fantastic! Not only did she put 110% into turning my gown into the gown of my dreams, but she did it exactly within the time-line she said she would, which totally eases some of the stressors that come along with everything as the big day comes closer!! Another point I have to make, is my bridesmaids all purchased their dresses at Ve'Lace as well. My matron of honor was newly pregnant at the time we had bought them, and although the staff at Ve'Lace could not predict the future as to how big she would be at 9-months and what size dress she would be fitting into at that time, they were able to guide her to make a decision for her purchase. When it came time for my wedding, my MOH was 2 weeks before her due date, and the dress did not at all fit anymore, Shadia and the seamstress took control of the situation and created a corset backing for her dress, and it fit perfectly. Our initial experience with Ve'Lace and Shadia was positive. Shadia won us over by her warm and friendly personality. My daughter was thrilled with the gown she found there. The gown arrived and so began the alteration process. This changed everything unfortunately. My daughter was fitted twice by the seamstress at Ve'Lace. The seamstress was repeatedly told that the fit wasn't feeling right, especially in the mid-section area of the gown. The answer given by the seamstress was that this is the best fit doable with her "body type." Having one week left before the wedding and my daughter not satisfied with that answer decided another opinion was needed on the alterations. Something was wrong. Hence we took the gown to Suenos' in Greenville, RI, well known for her expertise in tailoring. What she revealed to us was truly appalling. The lining of the gown had not been altered. The seamstress from Ve'Lace had altered only the top layer of the gown, not touching the lining underneath. This would explain what my daughter was saying all along, she was correct in her feelings that the mid-section of the gown was not fitting correctly. The gown needed to be altered once again to correct the multiple and significant problems that were discovered. The gown required an additional 6 fittings to make the needed corrections. Also had there been more time before the wedding day, the gown could have used additional alterations. Understandably it was quite upsetting for us, this all was less than a week before the wedding day and the dress wasn't ready. But even more upsetting and disappointing was the lack of empathy from Shadia. I wrote a letter to Shadia explaining what we discovered and she basically saw no error on her/their part. Yes we expected a refund for the alterations by her seamstress. I did not find it fair to have to pay for alterations twice. And she never addressed the many concerns we had with the alterations performed by her seamstress. The questions were never answered. Rather, Shadia chose to completely ignore our second letter to her. The sweet friendly warm person who welcomed us into her boutique and gladly sold us a gown, a veil, a bolero, a flower girl gown, basically dismissed us and our experience with her shop. BUYER BEWARE and a very expensive lesson I share in this review is to be sure the seamstress working on your dress is the very best. And never let a charming personality fool you. The Shadia we met initially was not so charming, sweet or helpful in recognizing our issues, and pretty much dismissed us entirely. read more
