Be aware of Delong Plumbing for the extremely dishonesty behavior!…read more Hired them to do the back-flow test required by the City, agreed price was $60. The first test failed due to one broken rubber gasket. Mr DeLong asked to charge for $80 extra to get the rubber gasket replaced and re-test. Mr Delong threatened that we could choose to replace the parts by our self and he would leave immediately, and if we need him to come back for the re-test, we would pay him $60 again for the 2nd visit. Or we could choose to pay him $80 extra to get the job done, to make everyone easier... We were kind of in one blackmailed situation that we had to agree very reluctantly. So in the end, we paid him $140 in total to get one back-flow test done. Most other plumbers, in the same situation, would offer free of charge for the replacement of the rubber or charge with less than $20 for it. According to Mr Delong, the $80 extra charge included $30 for the extra labor (it took him 1 mins to replace the part) , $25 for the parts(2 rubber gaskets will cost a few bucks at most) and $25 for the re-test (if the device had to run twice for the same job, it should be charged twice, really???). So, Be aware of Delong Plumbing for the extremely dishonesty behavior! And good luck with your next job with Delong Plumbing.

I use to paint houses myself until my health no longer permitted me to do so, I am very critical and walked around my house multiple times daily looking for mistakes I found none. when I picked the color for my house it turned out to be more yellow than my wife liked so we asked Adam how much it would cost to re do it. I fully expected him to give a very high price, he did not. The price he charged to fix my error in color was more than reasonable and fair. Also, I needed some moderate repair to my roof near my chimney and his worker, Doug was very knowledgeable about roofs and agreed to do the repair, again I was expecting a much higher cost than what I was charged. The repair was done quickly and professionally. Adam and Doug had to replace several pieces of old rotted wood on my home and again, the job was done with extreme professionalism and at a very fair price. After Adam and Doug left, my neighbors were quick to comment on how great my house looks with fresh paint, the efficiency and accuracy of the work Adam and Doug did was not lost on my neighbors either. If you are looking for an excellent painter that wont price gouge you look no further than ABC Painter. As I said the other painters I got quotes from were ridiculously priced, one wanted $10,000.00 for the same scope of work Adam did for a fraction of the cost. And I'd be willing to bet that I would have found many mistakes with the higher cost painters. I say this because I know from my conversations that the owners of those other companies had no intention of being on site, and no one cares as much about his/her business as the owner. Adam was here every day and nothing was completed until Adam had looked at it and it met his approval, he genuinely cared about my home and the quality of work that he and Doug did. So if your looking for a painter, do your self a favor and call Adam, you won't regret doing so.
