Came here on a Saturday morning. It's located in the outdoor shopping area on the same floor as the food court, but located in its own store to the left. There isn't any seating inside the store, so it feels more like a grab and go kind of place. You can order on the tablet at the front and wait for your drinks and food at the other end. I got a latte and the soyrizo burrito, which they cut in half. I'm glad they did that because it was huge and I was able to share it. It was a tasty and well-seasoned burrito. They do give paper straws, which is good for the environment but after a while, it tends to fall apart. Would come back here again if I'm in the area. read more

Ok tried this place on door dash because just needed a quick coffee. The banana cold foam caught my eye and now I'm HOOKED. Literally. I've ordered it 3 times. I drink my entire coffee. It's seriously so amazing. I went in one day to pick up my order, it's kind of annoying bc there's no parking and in the plaza but the coffee quality outweighs that 100%. I also had an everything jalapeño croissant warmed up and it was so good even the birds near me wanted to eat it. The first thing I noticed about this quaint coffee shop next to my work building was the friendly "hello"! I heard from these two sweet men. Why "hello" right back to you sirs. I like the vibe. To order, there are menu tablets available. Since it was not crowded at my 7am arrival I ordered at the counter. I explained that I like my coffee strong with just a bit of oatmilk. He said "no problem!" and did as I asked. The menu is varied. The baked goods looked fresh so I ordered a chorizo cheese croissant. It was yummy and flakey. I go to the gym in the same shopping center every morning and I've always passed by this spot wondering how it is. Decided to finally give it a try one morning after a workout and I'm glad that I did. I wanted something small so I grabbed a breakfast sandwich and it was delicious. I did try the matcha on a separate occasion and I'm sad to say that it did not measure up to my expectations. I'm a major matcha fan so my standards are super high. I wouldn't bother ordering the matcha but I can say that the coffee here is pretty good and up to par in my opinion. Highly recommend checking it out if you are in the area. The staff was friendly and helpful, which made for a positive experience. I visited on a Sunday around 9 AM and there was no line, which was a nice bonus. It's a very modern and small place, but you can sit down outside at the tables provided in the middle of the outdoor area of the shopping center. I wouldn't recommend it as a place to study or work from, but it's perfect for relaxing while enjoying your coffee and pastries. One thing to note is that it can be a bit tricky to find if you're following Google Maps--you'll need to walk down the stairs or take an elevator from street level, as it's located just below a shopping center. Passion Fruit Jasmine Tea With Lemonade ($5.85): They use Art of Tea premium passion fruit jasmine tea but we barely tasted the passion fruit. The tea is unsweetened. Luckily we were informed by the cashier so we added lemonade ($0.85) to make it sweet. Overall, the taste was just okay and something I can make at home. Checked out this new gem at FIGat7th and it is giving me withdrawal vibes! Their minimalist aesthetics and vibrant red details is what drew me to check this place out. I normally don't drink coffee, but Velo has a suggestion section on their menu for those who are as indecisive as me. Michael recommended their blueberry matcha and woah - it was the perfect blend of blueberry, matcha and macadamia milk. I was very pleased with the flavor and haven't stopped thinking about it ever since! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Whether you drink coffee or not, there is something on the menu for everyone. The iced chai with oat milk is delicious! It was so refreshing on a hot day at the dog park. Prior to knowing about La Velo Coffee, the nearest coffee shop is about half a mile or so. I also grabbed an iced coffee. I'm not a fan of the nitro brew so the owner did a pour over and added ice. It was delicious without cream and sugar. If you're looking for a minimalistic coffee place that has a GREAT variety, this is it! I usually order two drinks at a new coffee place to size it up and both were amazing that I kept drinking them at the same time. The Blueberry Matcha w/ macadamia milk was the perfect balance of fruity and milk. No need for any adjustments! The Guatemala Drip Coffee w/ macadamia milk was not too acidic and had a nutty flavor to it, which I loved. The macadamia milk was the perfect option to add just a bit of sweetness to it. There are plenty of other drinks AND pastries there you can choose from but not too much where you're overwhelmed. The owner (Austin) was so gracious and kind and made great recommendations. I love this place! I love how the music was not loud, so I could actually hear what the barista was recommending and I could hear my friend! This is the first coffee shop that I've seen that offers macadamia milk, and they have a lot of beverage selections which is really exciting! I wish I could spell the baristas name, but he worked on June 26th. Around 1ish-2pm, and by far the best customer service I have received at a coffee shop! I asked for suggestions and he was very knowledgeable on the menu, but asked the level of sweetness for my coffee, and boy did he nail it!
