Cafe Dulce is a pretty spacious cafe in the Row in downtown LA. I went on a Thursday afternoon and it wasn't packed and my drinks came out almost a minute later at most. The worker was pretty nice, I was a bit sad the food sold out but a lot of people came by due to the World Cup game. They can validate your ticket too for free parking! I ordered 2 blueberry matcha lattes, one with oat milk and one with whole milk. If I were to describe it, I'd say it tastes veeeeery similar to the matcha latte powder that Trader Joe's sells. The drink itself is very milk forward and not much matcha is tasted. It's sweet and milky basically, with a hint of matcha. The blueberry was good though as an addition of flavor. Overall it was okay, just not what I expected. My only other issue is just that I wish there were straws haha read more

You know what, it's my fault for assuming any place that offers Vietnamese coffee is making it properly. Lesson learned. But if you're going to have it on the menu, it needs to at least resemble what it claims to be, because simply adding condensed milk to a diluted espresso pull isn't it. It's like pouring gochujang ketchup on rice and calling it tteokbokki, or sprinkling some cinnamon sugar on toast and calling it a churro. Invest in phins, use the correct roast, learn the slow drip method, and do the iconic beverage some justice, or call it something else for your menu. And yes, it IS that deep. I've always loved the vibe at the row and so happy cafe dulce opened here! It's kinda hidden but you have to go through the glass doors on the left side buildings which is a pretty quiet area. To my surprise it was pretty empty on a Saturday at noon! The matcha latte was good but I loved the matcha creme filled donut. The dough is somewhat of a mochi texture and very yummy! I work in the Row complex so this is a very convenient place for me to grab a salad or breakfast burrito. Their premade salads are good if you need something for lunch. And the breakfast burrito is 10/10. I enjoy the coffees but their matcha is excellent. There is seating if you'd like to enjoy your bites and drink there. read more

Pretty spacious interior with plenty of seating to study / work. Service was relatively quick on a Sunday. We got an Americano, pretty standard, and the limited strawberry matcha latte. I guest I am too used to every other cafe making strawberry matcha lattes with the pretty 3 layer aesthetic so when this came out I was confused. There was a small hint of strawberry flavoring. A cute little coffee shops tucked in The Row in DTLA (Arts District). I always pop in here before my hair appointments at Nova Arts Salon and love their matcha and food. I got a BLTA sandwich this time (unfortunately I couldn't eat any of the breakfast burritos because they were all premade with dairy - bummer). Sandwich was delicious but would recommend eating right away otherwise the bread will get soggy. I also got a coffee crumb donut that was 10/10. Customer service is always great and the aesthetic/vibe is super cute with lots of places to sit and mingle. I had a frustrating experience at Cafe Dulce. I ordered two iced lattes and confirmed it twice with the cashier. The total came out surprisingly low, so I double-checked, and he assured me I was charged for two. After waiting, I was given two iced teas instead. At that point I had already paid, and there was no effort to clarify or fix the mistake. I ended up leaving without what I ordered and feeling pretty unsatisfied. Mistakes happen, but better communication would go a long way. I'm lactose intolerant and noticed as the guy was making my drink that he reached for a gallon of whole milk. Right then and there I should've said something, but my reflexes didn't work. Just to be on the safe side, I only took a couple of sips then downed the rest when I got home. Dulce Dos.. let's talk about it !! I'm on a mission to try as many coffee shops before the year ends and this marks my 35th coffee shop this year! This shop is located in downtown LA specifically at the Row. The shops here are modern and aesthetically pleasing. There is free parking for the first hour and there's a lot of parking so no need to worry about that. The shop itself is so cute, the interior is huge! The aesthetics here are minimalist but modern. There is a ton of places to sit here whether you want to work, come on a solo date or even a group of friends. You can always grab coffee here and walk around the area. The staff here are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The barista gave me a large instead of a small and I thought that was super nice of them I really appreciated it. The blueberry was good, the blueberry was very present it was on the sweet side but still very good. The London fog was delicious and perfect! They do sell sandwiches and treats but they were sold out so I think we're going to get here earlier so we can try them. The sandwiches look amazing! Overall thoughts.. This Sunday morning my gf and I decided to come to Smorgasburg LA and grab coffee from Dulce Dos at The Row. I really enjoyed the ambiance of this location. The fact that they're inside made me feel more comfortable because it was cool for both our dog and us. Especially on a hot day. The vanilla lattes were super delicious. I got a large latte and my gf got a regular latte. I love how you could actually tell there's a difference in both taste AND size even though it's the same coffee. I got the iced matcha which was decent- it wasn't as smooth as I would've preferred and was slightly gritty.
