For the price and location, I expected better upkeep, more updated equipment, and a higher overall standard. Some aspects feel overlooked, which is disappointing given the potential this space has. What stands out the most is that this gym could be great. The layout, location, and accessibility are all there -- it just needs more attention, investment, and consistency to match what you'd expect from a gym in this area. With a few improvements, this could easily become a standout spot rather than one people choose only for convenience.

Great Sign-Up, but Billing and Collections Nightmare…read more I joined Snap Fitness Tarrytown in ENDING of December 2024. Eric the owner was great, so I gave it a chance--even though coworkers and others warned me about billing problems and said the gym "seemed off." I stopped attending due to a high-risk pregnancy and informed them my card was stolen (replaced via Chase). Somehow, they still charged my account, likely using old routing info. When I tried to check my account, pay balances, and reactivate, I got vague, dismissive, and rude responses like: "Your account was sent to collections in February for non-payment." "We sent many emails...no record of your card being compromised." They ignored my questions about charges in June and July 2025 after being told my account was sent to collections in February of 2025, account history, collection details, and even who I was even speaking to once I asked for a name they stopped responding. Eventually, they gave the collection agency info--but even the agency was confused why I was being charged nearly $400 when my monthly membership was ~$40, especially if it supposedly went to collections after two months. Snap Fitness' billing and customer service are unprofessional, evasive, and frustrating. If you join, get everything in writing and watch your statements carefully!!

That is why they like to charge fees so aggressively. Honestly the Scarsdale one is why better and the Colorado one is truly amazing. They go above and beyond to support your fitness journey and they assume positive intent and flex if needed. These people don't flex at all and some weird things about wait list. Very disappointing. Some of the front desk people are super nice. Others are not and I don't believe they really care if you are getting healthy or not. It's just a business. Gentle Yoga @4PM on Sunday is led by Liz Lazo who added a little bit of Zen via starting with meditation (a bit more than breath in/out) before guiding us through the gentle yoga practice. It was a small class just 2 people so she tailored the class to our needs (back/hips). She is excellent but since she's also my cousin I will list her bio not written by me! Liz Lazo has been practicing yoga for over 13 years and has received instruction in Hatha, Iyengar, Kripalu & Vinyasa styles. She earned her 200 Hour Vinyasa Teacher Training certificate through Living Yoga with Liz Schulman and Richard Villella in March 2013. Liz is a registered member of Yoga Alliance. In addition, she attained the First Degree of Reiki through Ginny Mackles in March 2011 and applies the principles to her work as a yoga student and instructor. There is gym equipment available for members; weights, treadmill, stair stepper, etc. The staff are incredibly friendly. Frank is a great owner and there very often. The workouts are great and varied by each instructor. I ended my membership for personal reasons - nothing to do with them, they were fantastic - and they made that super easy.
