There are two separate areas: karaoke and lounge. I went to the lounge, which had live music. No vegan options, but they were happy to make me a special-order pizza. Service was prompt and friendly. Craft cocktails were not large but decent; the wine list was good. Recommended.

This is the side without karaoke ..much nicer and referred to as "the Corner".

Velvet lounge has two sides. The main area with karaoke and the other side referred to as "the Corner". I highly recommend the corner crew. Both sides are pricey. But I was treated much better on the non karaoke side. This side has a chill vibe and down to earth people. The volume of the music was at a reasonable volume so you could chit chat. The staff here were very welcoming and the gent who helped me, Doug, was very professional and fun to talk to. The velvet lounge side has quite a few "woo woo" girls screaming and the KJ and staff didn't seem too friendly or lively like you would expect. So I enjoyed the more relaxed easy going vibe on the corner side after a long day. I don't know if they have had trouble here. But the VL side seemed like a hassle with the guy at the front shaking you down and the tense vibe they give off. So this review is for the corner side only since they won me over, and I would definitely come back.

If I could give this place a 0/5 I would. Myself and a group of friends visited this place on a Saturday afternoon, two of my friends (a couple) were dancing together and were kicked out for "being too drunk", which we were not by any means. The four of us were sat outside of the bar trying to figure out where to go next and one of the employees came outside and started yelling at us saying that we were trespassing and called the police on us. So aggressive and bizarre. I would stay away at all cost. The staff are clearly on a power trip.

This was such a fun night! Great staff, lots of fun talking with people, great food and fabulous music. You must stop by if your in town! There is a large bar, lots of room with tables, and cute clothes... I bought one of their karaoke shirts.

We loved this place so much, so we came back again the next night! Danielle, the owner, treated us like family and was so kind. All of her staff, especially RICKY RICKY RICKY was so good to us. What a great place to hang out!!

Drinks were fine! You had all the standard options. Just keep in mind it is a long wait to sing for karaoke. If you pay a little extra, you can go up first. Seating is limited and a lot of bachelorettes book tables. It's a fun time! It's one of two places open at night.

Overall, 1 of our favorite food stops on this trip! Our order consisted of 1 order of bang bang shrimp, 1 spinach & artichoke dip appetizer, a shared seared salmon dish (not pictured), 1 blackberry margarita (not pictured), & 1 blueberry mule (not pictured). For me, the best part of our order was the bang bang shrimp. If I get to go back I'll just order 2 of those & call it good! The spinach & artichoke appetizer was good, but offered a pretty standard flavor profile. The seared salmon was the best salmon dish I've tasted in a long time, paring nicely with the mashed potatoes & roasted veggies that came with it. Both cocktails were amazing, but my wife said the blackberry margarita was fantastic. The most negative thing about GH was extremely limited indoor seating availability & the lack of reservations, but now you've been warned. It was a short trip for us, but we will be back to GH on our next visit to Fredericksburg for sure.

We enjoyed the atmosphere - it looks like a house-turned-bar and has so much charm. We were able to place our orders at the bar and one of the bartenders brought it out to us in the backyard. We sipped on our delicious drinks while rocking on the swinging bench outside. We decided to share the volcano ashes and floating petals cocktails. The volcano ashes was a bit too bitter for my taste - if you're someone who wants very little sweetness in your drink, this is the one for you. The floating petals was much more my style - the mix of floral tastes was lovely and it was on the slightly sweeter end, just how I like it! We decided on two sangrias after that which were nicely spiced and absolutely lovely. As it got colder outside we decided to move to one of their side rooms, which has nice furniture and is a bit more private than the main room. The bartenders were very kind and the drinks were delicious! Definitely check this spot out on your next visit to Fredericksburg.

Vibe is euro-bistro and the staff is perfectly attentive. Prices are high, but honestly aligned to the quality of the food, at least the dishes we had were worth the prices. Food: Buttermilk Fried Chicken, with Onion/Bacon flash fried collard greens, whipped potatoes and house gravy and Jalapeno Cornbread for $32 Reuben on Marble Rye for $24 16oz Stella Artois for $10 We agreed that the fried chicken (5/5) was the best we could remember having. Whipped potatoes (5/5) were light, fluffy and perfect taste/texture. The gravy was like brown butter (5/5). The collard greens (5/5) were flash fried and if you've never had them like this, it's like eating collard green potato chips. Cornbread (3/4) was a bit too delicate and sweet for our taste. You couldn't pick it up without it falling apart. The Ruben (3/5). My wife loves a good Ruben sandwich. This one had the makings of a good one, but they use a Thousand Island sauce (too much of it) on the sandwich, and it hides the flavor of the meat. Next time we would ask for the sandwich without the TI sauce, see if that improves the rating. The sandwich came with house made potato chips (5/5), a small house salad with vinaigrette (5/5) and a large, pickled cucumber. I know, that's a pickle, but these are cucumbers that have gone maybe a third of the way through the process, so the cucumber taste is really prevalent. Lastly, we had the Creme Brulé (3/5) for dessert. It was nice, but the custard was coffee and caramel flavored, and we prefer the standard custard look and flavor. The caramel should come from the top layer, not the custard. The top layer was a bit too thick as well. We liked it, just didn't love it. Overall, quality food, service and vibe with prices that are aligned to more special occasions than everyday eating out. We'll be back to try the Monday Crawfish Etoufee and the Tuesday Duck Confit daily specials...look too good to pass up.
