The band playing was setting a fun, funky vibe, and the crowd was getting down. This place proves you can have classy and a bit wild at the same time. I loved the little lounge areas with vintage chairs and beautiful decor. Word of mouth gets around fast, and I see why my neighbor keeps inviting me to this spot. She has good taste and knows where to go drama free. This is a great spot for females to feel safe to go solo or bring your crew. The surrounding customers and staff were friendly and fun. Another great evening experience here. Not much is open on Sunday nights, but this place had it going on until probably 11 or 11:30 PM. Their beer is very reasonably priced with a great selection and their wine pours are large. their food is very underrated so be sure to try the pizza or their pastrami sandwich. Great spot to stop in for a glass of wine. It is around the corner from main st so a little quieter than other stops. They will recommend a glass for you to try based off your preferences which I very much appreciated. We also got a cheese board with havarti with dill, brie, salami, fresh bread, and fresh fruit. It was so amazing! Every this was so fresh and flavorful. Especially the bread, it was warm and salty which a perfectly light toasted crunch and a very pleasant olive oil flavor. I will be thinking about this bread all week! We also thought the fruit i voided some of the sweetest crispiest apples ever! I urge you to build your own cheese plate here! My husband and I had been to Lincoln Street quite a few times before. We like the ambience, the great music, and of course, the wine. However, this time it wasn't welcoming. We went up to the counter to place an order for some wine and some snacks. The guy at the counter, let me know that I could choose à la carte from the menu. as I started listing off the meat and cheeses we wanted. He then interrupted me and mentioned that was a lot. OK well if he would've told me in the first place, I might understand better how to make my selections. Later, we decided to order a little more, so I went up to the counter again. Even before I said a word, another gentleman, Danny, told me that I might want to throw out my gum if I'm going to be drinking wine. I informed him I was chewing on a cracker. I thought it was pretty rude for him to assume that I was chewing gum. And even if I was, not that I ever would, I'm a paying customer, so what difference does it make? As my husband and I enjoyed the rest of our evening, another gentleman, I believe his name was Darrell, was restocking wine and I happen to ask what his most popular wine was. He seemed very pleased to offer his opinions and share with us his favorites. As I went to check out, Darrell was very friendly and listened to my complaints and apologized about our experience. I'm digging the scenery. There's many positives to this place. Unfortunately on a Wednesday night. The two ladies working there weren't helpful at all. Acted like I was a burdensome asking them questions about the wines (which they have no knowledge on) I asked for a wine menu. They don't carry one, cool. But when I asked for a food menu, I was told they're currently not serving food. I asked for a second time, also explaining I do wine tours. I just wanted to take a photo of the menu for suggestions for future customers. Again one of the ladies rudely replied "we're not serving food dude" Well ok then. We happened upon this place for my birthday and it was the perfect way to spend the evening. We had a big lunch, so we didn't feel like a big dinner. We looked for local spots with small bites and found this. It was the perfect environment for what we were looking for, as well. We spent the evening talking in one of their rooms talking. Disclaimer: this review is not for the actual Lincoln St. Wine Market but for the people who work there. I have recently visited this town for the history, food, wine and more wine. My memory of Lincoln St. is hazy AF because of "more wine" I honestly can't even remember the picture I took when I checked in on Yelp . Somehow, later in the evening I lost/ dropped my wallet with my whole life and existence in it. Since I remember trying to pay for the wine we ordered, I know for a fact that I still have it there and it was our last stop. The next morning, we called and told them what was going on and said nothing has been found. Not satisfied with the answer, we went back and my friend told me where we were seating and the nice people of the wine market let us look for it in the area where we're at. We didn't find it to my dismay. I went back home to DFW blaming my self for having too much fun. :( Somehow, a little 2 weeks later I got a message from Facebook and asking if I was there recently and my wallet was turned in to one of the bartenders who worked at Lincoln St. Wine Market. She looked for me and defiant to get my wallet back to me. I literally cried when I received that message. I have cancelled all my cards but there's a couple of cards there that is very important to me. Kudos! to this her and the whole staff and owner of this place. She told me it was turned in to her by a bartender from another place who found it. We were guessing that when I hopped in on our Lyft that my purse is not fully closed and the wallet somehow fell off. Either way, I have my wallet back and planning my Erwin to this great town and have a manageable amount of wine. :p For sure, next time I visit I'd be more careful and visit this place to appreciate this wine market.
