Croissant, indoors, americano

Chill, relaxed atmosphere with a decent number of seats. Latte was well-balanced and the plain croissants are yummy

Iced Latte

Really great coffee - nice pastries ! Coffee is unsweetened- wish they had some cold foam options or signature drinks on their menu but good iced latte overall

Velvette Brew in Park Slope is a coffee shop serving light fare and smooth brews. We went for the Velvette, a vanilla brown sugar latte, blueberry loaf and breakfast sausage quiche for breakfast. We think Velvette Brew makes for a great neighborhood coffee shop and wish we had a location in Chelsea

This was another stop on our coffee walking tour we could tell its a classic neighborhood spot. Friendly service and despite the large interior, every seat was taken! We ordered the iced velvette latte which was quite delicious. When we end up in the area again, I'll be tempted to try it hot!

It's coffee. I ordered a vanilla latte as well as a chai, and tasted average. Nothing noteworthy. Coffee was quick and efficient which was nice but don't expect to be blown away

Velvette is a great neighborhood coffee spot. Drinks are delicious - I usually get the iced Velvette which is their signature drink and their take on a vanilla latte (highly recommend). There are also a good variety of pastries and cookies to snack on. Everyone working at the cafe is always so kind and conversational. Velvette is also one of my favorite cafes to work at. There's wifi and a good amount of table space as well!

Whenever I get to Brooklyn, I always stop by this coffee shop for my morning coffee. The coffee is excellent, and the atmosphere is perfect for enjoying the Brooklyn street view and people. It's a must-visit spot!

Was walking in the hood Parkslope so hubby and I decided to check out this establishment for some coffee. My hubby and I enjoyed our cold brew ice coffee the very in thing. A bold Colombian flavor with a pinch of cinnamon the taste was perfect giving me that extra energy boost lol. As you all read my reviews I love coffee!!!!! One thing I must point out it was enormously crowded for an early Saturday afternoon which is not something I enjoy. However with that said I will give this a place a four star for the coffee delish and the personnel who work there, they were very cordial which I totally Appreciate

Adorable cafe that's laptop friendly and much more peaceful than its competition a block away. I appreciate the light bites on the menu and the drink selection. Deducting one star because it's a tad pricey. I will be back soon though.

16oz Cold Brew

Cold brew tasted a little different than im used to but i the price of the 16oz was only $4 and had a really cute ambiance! Went on a sunny saturday afternoon and it still had decent amount of opened seating! Also tons of outlets

Great atmosphere for working or chilling with a book! It was a nice day when I went so the sun lit up the store well. I sat near the windows and next to an outlet which was very convenient. They have many outlets, great for if you need to charge anything. There is free WiFi offered here as well as two restrooms. I ordered the matcha latte but it lacked taste of... matcha. I was pretty disappointed but the workers were very kind! Besides that, I believe this cafe has great potential so I'll be back for more!

Large iced cappuccino

I'm not sure if this place has been around a while and I somehow missed it but this is the REAL DEAL FOR GOOD COFFEE!! I am a lover of anything caffeine and I am always on the hunt for a good cup of coffee. I got an iced cappuccino with almond milk.. it comes with three shots of espresso and they even managed a foamy milk top. They charge extra for almond milk like almost coffee shops. The coffee is strong and they have a really good quality machine and coffee grinder. My large iced cappuccino with almond milk was $6 (including the extra ~50 cents for almond milk) which is pricey but most coffee shops in NYC don't skew far from that price. Staff is really nice and explained a couple of questions I had. They also sell an assortment of pastry and carb filled items that all looked sooooo good! I saw A LOT OF PEOPLE INSIDE on there laptops and it's not super loud like most coffee spots. Modern, clean interior. The only downside is I wish I lived closer because I would be a regular !! Fun fact : there was a sign inside giving a free cup of coffee to government/federal workers. #winning

People have left some odd reviews of this place, including a one-star review for the restaurant…read moreapparently being highly politicized--a vibe I neither felt nor could visually identify within or without the establishment. I ordered a single burger and a Sudan spiced peanut butter latte, for ~$15! That's pretty inexpensive for New York City. I note this as some consider it overpriced. I suppose the food is fairly inexpensive, the lattes slightly higher than average. The "burger" comes wrapped in a homemade pita with diced cucumber, onion, and tomato, plus a few crispy, thick-cut fries and a yummy house sauce. It was a cool twist of the traditional burger and had a nice flavor. The sauce was like a slightly Mediterranean version of Big Mac sauce. The girl working as the barista and cashier was very nice and friendly. She had a nice presence and warm smile, made suggestions, and even gave a stranger free utensils when they popped on to ask. I think it's definitely worth checking out, and it's a good place for a cheap & simple meal that's still quirky and fun.

I have wanted to try this spot for some time, and wound up a bit disappointed with what I tried…read more They feature a tahini cold brew, which features two things I love dearly, but instead of a rich cold brew it was overly sweet and icy--more like a slushie. Perhaps I should have anticipated that, or my mistake in ordering. I also ordered a Moroccan egg salad sandwich which was substantive but surprisingly bland--sparse with the advertised capers and pickled red onions to give it more punch. I've always loved the look of the spot and the vibe--funky decor, outside and indoor facing counters to order, with some outdoor seating for people watching on Dekalb or heading nearby Ft. Greene Park. I see they are renovating and rebranding a bit and adding some burger component. While I didn't love it, I'd definitely give it another shot.
