Had the pasta and penne pasta was Al dente, balanced cream sauce with crumbled beef, Try the Chicken Jerk! It was awesome! The cabbage that comes in the Jerk Chicken plate was well seasoned. Staff was very friendly and kind. It was a great place to eat in Ridgecrest. Has an upper scale ambiance. Nice change compared to all the fast food or prepping food at home. French fries reminded me of my youth day's of eating fresh McDonalds fries for days, the salt was perfect the fries were still hot when I got home. The Bubba steak smash burger was excellent and very tasty. I'll be going back to try other menu items because they looked delicious. read more

I ate at Ven for the first time on Valentines Day. The Soul Chicken sandwich exceeded my expectations. if I order a hot sandwich I expect it to be hot. it was! the crispy fried chicken thigh was succulent inside with crispy goodness on the outside. The sauce drizzled over the thigh was delicious. I prefer a pretzel bun but the brioche bun was very good. expect to pay a little more for their sandwiches. The upscale flavor is worth it. I love all their food!!! Authentic and delicious... My favorite by far is the Bubba's Burger that just melts in my mouth. Everything else I've tasted has also been super good. The price is a little bit on the expensive side & wait times are sometimes longer, but it is ABSOLUUUUUUUUTELY worth it. read more

Went into VEN with high expectations after hearing a great review from my dad and those were exceeded. My dad and I split an order of the pommes frites which had a really nice seasoning and a great amount of it. Not too much but definitely enough to satisfy like a good fry should. We also shared the Soul Bird which was perfectly fried with a great secret sauce on it. I also ordered one of the jerk chicken tacos which was delicious on its own, but the carribean habanero salsa took it to the next level. One of the best sauces/salsas I've had in a long time (it was so good I had to dip the chicken sandwich in it too). We each got a ginger lemonade which was also amazing, great mix of ginger and lemonade flavor. Just like every other review says, the customer service is top notch. We don't get a lot of nice restaurants in Ridgecrest but this is definitely one of them. Support this local business. read more

Tried this new restaurant tonight and it was everything this town needs and more. I had the jerk chicken tacos that had the best pickled slaw and salsa to top, creole pasta that was heavenly, and a ginger lemonade. I love fusion food but more importantly, I love food with flavor that sates your tastebuds. The pricing is the same as any restaurant in town and the service was fantastic. This truck has served some of the best food Ive eaten. There are occasional misses, but what's great (or bad?) is you can come back next week to a new menu with creative and interesting flavors (bad because if you liked last week who knows when they'll serve it again). I am so thrilled to have another food truck in Ridgecrest! I've had several of the dishes offered from Ven. Their food changes constantly, which I LOVE! Keeping it fresh and I get to try new things. The first week I had their burger and the lemon ginger wings. Both were excellent. If either were still on the menu still I would get them again. When I ordered the wings, I only got 3 and fries, but they are FULL wings. Anywhere else would have chopped them in half and called it 6 wings. So 3 full wings=6 half wings and I'm happy with that. (Math checks out). The next week I got the jerk chicken. It was excellent. The chicken was juicy and tender and it tasted like it was soaked in sauce but it wasn't dripping wet with sauce. It was excellent, the perfect amount of food. My husband got the Jerk Chicken Burrito which would have been too much food for me. This week I got the mac & cheese bowl with the pork on top. We added lime and their homemade garlic/jalapeno sauce. The flavors complimented the food perfectly. After I ate that I wasn't hungry, but I still got the mango Italian ice. It was like sherbet! I usually don't like mango flavor, but this was excellent. I can't wait to see what they have next week! The wait may be long, but if you get a beer while you wait and hang out with friends I don't think it's that long. And the wait time can only get better! Thanks for all you do, Ven! Food tastes great. The only ding I have to give them is it's a little overpriced for what it is. But for what it is it fills you feelings satisfied. If I may suggest, offer some super cheap food items so there are more priced options but still keep the stuff you have now. read more

This was my first visit, and they greatly exceeded my expectations. I had the Caribbean Chicken bowl, and it was excellent! There was just enough heat from the habanero, but the lime was a great balance to the heat. The wait was a little long, but the excellent food and price made up for that. This is the second time I went and I've wanted to like it. I wanted it to be good! For the price it's not worth it. For $10 I got 3 chicken wings. Then they forgot the habanero sauce. I waited 45 minutes for 3 chicken wings with no sauce. They also added in like 10 french fries. I didn't order any french fries, I didn't want french fries. For 10$ I expect 5 wings. These Wings aren't the size of Wingstop wings, they are bigger, they are the whole chicken wing if you're to take a small chicken and cut the wing off. But three for $10 is ridiculous. Then this week they had a special for better of a lack of their menu item named mac and cheese with a little bit of pork on top. For $16! The amount of food you get is not even worth half of that price. It had no flavor, and the sauce was like a water cheese sauce. It is overall disappointing. First time I went I got thier tacos, and the tacos tasted good but there was no meat and on their Instagram live video he said tons of meat, loaded of meat. Bulshit. Only reason i have bought food from them is so that I can drink at The Taproom. Because I love the Tap Room. Overall it is overpriced for the amount of food you get. If they were to literally cut every single price in half it would probably be acceptable and I would never have had to write this review. Edit: On the customer service side, they are very friendly. I believe it is a family operated food truck and they work hard. When my husband went to get the sauce for me, they gave him a free Italian Ice. That was very nice. They do a terrific job on customer service. I know that they are new, hiccups are expected. I'll give them another try in the future, just wait for the kinks to be fixed. read more

We went to Flightline Tap Room to get a couple beers and support the local businesses during these challenging times. When we arrived to Flightline, we were told we needed to order food from the Ven food truck before we could sit outside and enjoy some local beers. No problem. We got in line with 6-7 people in front of us. That's when the things didn't go so well. We waited in line almost 30 minutes to order, and then waited another 35 minutes for our food. Overall, from getting in line to getting Our food took over an hour. We ordered two of the wing flavors and a chicken jerk burrito. The wings were whole chicken wings, 3 per order for $10 and it came with fries. The habanero wings were okay, a little dry and lacking flavor. The dry rub wings were basically missing the dry rub and had no flavor, really disappointing. In addition, the wings and fries were not served with any dipping sauce of any kind, which seems like a common staple with those kind of finger foods. The jerk chicken burrito was okay, chicken had decent flavor but the burrito seemed to be missing something, maybe some kind of sauce? Overall, the food was mediocre at best, and combined with the hour + wait time, it was a frustrating experience. I'm sure waiting outside in the heat while needing to wait for food before we could get a beer only added to the frustration. On a positive note, the gal that took our order was friendly and answered our questions about the menu and did provide some extra wing sauce when we asked for it. I am happy to see a food truck in Ridgecrest and hope they are able to grow and adjust to the current times. We are hoping to give Ven another chance in the future read more
