I am unsure what the other horrible review is from... because that is NOT what I have witnessed! I bought a home with an awning. The previous homeowners used a different local company to take care of their awning. I found that they were so unprofessional. When it came time to get a new awning, I shopping around. I went to three different companies to get bids. Venango, while not the cheapest I found (and also not the most expensive), came out on top with professionalism and kindness! Today, March 26, 2020, I had my new awning placed. And, I couldn't be happier. I went through the process with Mike, the owner. He came to the house a few times to speak to me and show me the book of fabrics. Mike was just great. He understood what I needed and that the awning needed to be adjusted for my very tall husband. When the crew came today to do the work, I was pleasantly surprised with their professionalism! They spoke kindly and worked tidy. I wasn't uncomfortable being home with only my kids while strange men installed my awning. When they left, you would have never known anyone was here, aside for the awning, as my porch wasn't a dumping ground for cable ties. I am blown away by Venango! My awning is stunning. The work was impeccable. The people are just plain nice. I am thrilled. I will always go back to Mike and his crew for more shade work. They did an outstanding job. read more

They were great to deal with when installing our new roll up awning. Now, it's less than 2 years old & the ropes to raise & lower it are fraying. The owner says that it will cost us $200 to have them replaced. The ropes shouldn't have needed replacing so soon. This is our 3rd awning ( previous 2 were from a small company that closed due to retirement) never had an issue with the ropes. It's the service after the sale that counts, buyer beware ! read more
