I was having another dinner at a restaurant next door and I needed to cleanse my palate. Thank goodness the gelato was pretty good. I'm not a chocolate/sweets fan but it was very good quality. L loves chocolate so he obviously loved this place and wants to come back. The wait wasn't too bad but afterwards as we were eating, the line was way out the door... so great that it's open late. We shared a large cup and tried 3 different flavors. Very rich... love that it didn't taste...that sweet though obviously it's going to have a good amount of sugar. Nothing I could get at WFs obviously since this is freshly made. Lil pricey but so is every other ice cream shop nowadays. So at least you're getting really delicious quality gelato. If I lived closer, I'd get the $19/lb take home gelato.

Great little dessert shop, esp if you're craving a late night treat. Slightly expensive if you're buying the chocolates, but the gelato is delicious, with so many traditional and innovative flavors to chose from. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service is great and ambiance is hip (albeit limited in terms of seating)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Superlative quality gelato made with very fine ingrediants. The chocoviar 75% is my absolute favourite. Its rich, decadant, smooth and very satisfying to consume. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have done a great job with merchandising the outlet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A few flavours like the stracciatella were on the sweeter side. Hats off to them for the lovely plant based option that do not compromise in taste at all .

I've had coffee from Venchi before and it was SO amazing that I had to convince my friend to try it. We got the Nougatine. Initially, the first half of the coffee was not good. I didn't understand why. But once we actually got toward the bottom where the chocolate & hazelnuts were hiding it came to life. Next time i know to mix it well before consuming so that I can have that deliciousness with every sip.

I had Venchi over in Rome last summer. This is one of the if not the best place for chocolates and real gelato. You get what you pay for. If you ever have a sweet tooth stop on by to this place. The staff are welcoming and very polite.

I got the Affogato drink with stracciatella gelato. Very sweet even the espresso can not temper. Also got the Chocoviar and regular hot chocolate. Make sure to stir your Chocoviar as the chocolate lingers at the bottom of the cup. Good place to get some sweets.

I find myself being really picky with ice cream shops but Venchi was good and I was able to choose an ice cream pretty quickly (which means a lot since I'm crazy indecisive). I sampled the strawberry stracciatella and the pistachio and those ended up being the two scoops I got on a regular chocolate chip cone. While the flavors were great individually (the strawberry is sweet and slightly tart with neither one being overpowering, and the chocolate chips adding a nice smoothness since it's a sorbet: 4/5 stars) (the pistachio is so creamy, smooth, and I love the nuttiness: 5/5 stars) they weren't the best paired together (my fault). I was also a little greedy--and the pictures a little misleading--getting the regular because the scoops are pretty big and just the small would've been satisfying. This is definitely a place you come to when you want to splurge tho because the regular cone I got was about $13 which is a little crazy.

Friendly workers - OPEN SUPER LATE!!!

Venchi has become a must-stop-in spot every time we visit NYC, at least one time but typically multiple times a visit. There are Venchis all over the city so it's an easy pick for high quality, flavorful, decadent gelato that's worth the splurge especially when you want something sweet but not too heavy to take the edge off a big heavy meal. Skip the ridiculously overpriced restaurant desserts and stroll over to the nearest Venchi. It's the perfect choice. Two of us share a kiddie cup (called "baby" size - see my pics) and it's plenty big as a palette cleanser without the guilt. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This location is OPEN SUPER LATE which is nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service isn't blazingly fast but the line does move along (if the line gets long, sometimes they'll start taking orders on their mobile pad while you're waiting in line). Dare I say, this is one place I'll tolerate waiting in line for - it's that good. Highly recommend!

My friend and I found ourselves wandering near Venchi and thought, "Why not indulge in some fancy gelato?" And there we went (after a failed attempt at Yogurlina, which apparently does not sell gelato despite Google Reviews stating the opposite). * Tangerine & Passion Fruit This was the special guest star of the day - a limited edition flavor that my friend and I sampled and decided to get. It's like a sour patch kid grew up, went to a tropical island, and got a slight attitude. Sour, tart, with a teeny bit of bitterness. If you're into sour fruity things, you'll love it. I'd give it a 4/5. * Mango Ah, mango. The reliable best friend who never lets you down. This one was the MVP - classic, smooth, and definitely worth the calories. If I could marry a flavor, this would be the one. 5/5, no question. * Tuscan Cream I sampled this one, and BAM! Caramel punched me right in the taste buds, and I wasn't in the mood. Too sweet for my liking. If you love caramel, you might have a different take, but for me, it was a swipe left. No bueno. * Cremino The staff recommended this one, and I thought, "Sure, why not?" Thank goodness the staff recommended sampling it beforehand. Turns out, Nutella has an even creamier cousin - and they're living at Venchi. If you're a Nutella fan, you might love it, but for me, it was like being smothered in sweetness. I needed a palate cleanse after this one. In a nutshell, Venchi felt like a sugar rush waiting to happen. I probably should've gone for something less sweet (like their pistachio), but here we are. Overall, I'm giving Venchi a 3/5. Don't get me wrong - the gelato's consistency was top-notch, but it was just too sweet for me. Comparing it to Figo, I'm team Figo all the way. Venchi might be for the sweet-toothed masses, but I'll stick with something a bit less sugar-crazy. Then again, based on the rave reviews, I'm probably the odd one out here! Edit: My sister ate the Cremino Pistacchio Chocolate and she says it melted in her mouth. 5/5. Updating my rating to a 3.5 stars.

Just like the one in Italy, perfect gelato with the chocolate piece too. Always seems to have a bit of a line, but it moves quickly and is a great treat.

Was passing by the store and when the littlest one in the party asked for ice cream, you obligated. The store had two lines: 1 chocolate and 1 gelato line. We waited in the gelato line for a while. You choose a size small, medium, large and oat for your treat. We picked 2 small cones - 1 flavor: 1 pistachio and 1 brutto buono (chocolate hazelnut). While the employee was making the first cone, it took skills with the scooping and shaping of the scoop. Total of 2 scopes for each cone. Employees will answer your questions, though not very friendly though efficient. The day was semi-warm so the gelato melted pretty quickly since it's soft so you might want to eat it pretty quickly. Hope you enjoy your treats

The Neapolitan White Chocolate (NWC) variety is part of their limited time spring collection and was first introduced in 2020 (to the best of my knowledge). I'm going to begin with a brief tangent for those of you unfamiliar with Neapolitan Ice Cream. Supposedly it has its origins in the cuisine of the Italian city Naples and the Neapolitan immigrants who brought spumoni to the U.S. Spumoni is an Italian dessert that uses three different flavored (vanilla, cherry, and pistachio) layers of ice cream that resemble the Italian flag. Americans would put their own spin on it by replacing the cherry with strawberry and the pistachio with chocolate. Moving back to the NWC truffles, the outer shell is comprised of a smooth and creamy white chocolate infused with strawberry, while the equally smooth core is a melty milk chocolate and white chocolate truffle. Although Neapolitan is not a favorite ice cream of mine (fruity ice cream is not my thing), Lindt absolutely nails it with all three flavors clearly coming through. Like all the other truffles I've tried from Lindt, the texture is phenomenal. I was a bit skeptical going into this one and only picked these up out of curiosity when I spotted them on clearance. If they could win me over, then you have to give these a try if you're a fan of the ice cream flavor. Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews My Favorite Lindt Truffles: 1. Birthday Cake 2. It didn't wow me. Tasted pretty much like your standard chocolate almonds. I recently decided to give this place another shot to try their highly-raved macarons and OMG... didn't expect a macaron to change my life. The chocolate ganache is heavenly. My favorite might be the "Sylvia", which is milk chocolate ganache + hints of caramel. The worker behind the counter was kind and helpful. I am a devotee of dark chocolate, and have tried every dark offering it has. Each is superb, even flavor combinations I haven't historically adored (like orange and chocolate - I know it's popular, but it's just not my favorite). That said, my personal favorite is the Anastasia, a hazelnut and dark praline enrobed in dark chocolate. It is exquisite. Service is always excellent. I've ordered in person and over the phone, and have always been so pleased with the staff. The website is helpful when ordering a variety, but if you'd like an entire box of Anastasia, for example, you have to call the Rockefeller Center store and place the order by phone. They ship once a week, and I always have my box fairly quickly. Boxes make terrific gifts ... including for yourself. If you're walking in, I recommend sitting down to enjoy a few pieces of chocolate, then taking the rest in a box with you. There is a cozy but comfortable seating area in the back just for this. This area is also an ideal place to enjoy some of their drinking chocolate. Highly, highly recommend.
