I came in with a group on Thursday night. The service was good and the location is beautiful. As for the food the veal Parmesan was a bit chewy and the portion size, especially for the pasta was very small. I left hungry. Let's rate Vendetta on 2 aspects: a) general nightlife/vibe, and b) food. General nightlife: 3 stars I went on a Sunday night (of a holiday weekend) and to be honest the vibe was pretty decent. After stopping by 2 other bars which seemed to pack in guests like sardines, we made our way to Vendetta. Not too crowded, and far from empty, probably about 70% capacity? The vibe was good and the music loud. Drinks typically priced, nothing special. Now to the food: 2.5 stars Service was pretty quick and friendly. We opted for the W.V.A. pizza, but to be honest it was a little over priced. Really, $27 for a large pizza? Quality wise, it was good, and it was fresh. My husband and I used Vendetta's downstairs lounge for our rehearsal dinner and it was absolutely perfect! The waitstaff were very attentive and friendly and the food was delicious! We worked with Jennifer the entire time and she was great. She was understanding when we had to postpone due to Covid and was very helpful with planning. Took my parents out for dinner, we really wanted to sit outside, but we did not reserve in time. So busy, but tables are spaced out. The back windows are all opened up, but it's still a bit warm inside, not too bad. It took a while for our server to come, but once she did super friendly. We ordered salads to start. I had a Cesar salad, it's small, but it was good. My entree was delicious though, I got the mushroom truffle pasta, delicious. I highly recommend it. Very yummy food! My husband ordered the stuffed shells and I ordered a cheese pizza. We were seated outside with a beautiful view and loved the atmosphere. The food was really good! Short walking distance of our hotel. Prices I think were a tiny bit over price but nothing outrageous and also considering it's in Vail. They were definitely very busy however with two wedding parties. Our waitress was very nice but seemed really stressed and overwhelmed. Otherwise it was great! I would recommend it! read more

We had our lunch when we were in Vail recently. Hubby said his Chicken Enchilada and Clam Chowder soup were OK. I had the buffalo chicken wings, hot chocolate and some seafood pasta or something. I was so disappointed with the pasta coz ONE: the scallops were overcooked and it tasted like CHICKEN instead of Scallops, TWO it was a little too salty for my taste bud... :( At that time, when we were there, the crowd mostly workers with Construction companies throughout Vail flocked there for lunch... My friends and I were hungry after our long travel day to Vail and learned that there there were only a couple of places open at 10PM on a Thursday night (WTH, Vail?!), and Vendetta's was one of those places. I'd read about Vendetta's on Yelp and convinced my friends to go for pizza. We ordered the 18' Popeye's Passion which was perfect for 4 hungry people. We all had 2 huge slices each which were just what we needed. The pizza was delicious - hot and cheesy with a wonderful crust. I loved it. (One of my friends said the sausage was a bit spicy, but that's okay by me. Non-spice lovers should take note.) Our server was really nice and attentive. I was actually surprised by how good she was because it seemed like every 20-yr-old in Vail was there and knew our server. This would be a good place to get a pizza and watch a game with friends as there are TVs along the wall in the upstairs bar area. I would definitely hang out here often if I lived in Vail. The crowd is definitely young and douchy, but it's my kind of place - very casual with good food and service. Vendetta's fantastic patio is ideal for a meal on a warm summer evening. Surprised to find such good wines on the list, so that's a bonus. The lead story is that the calamari is all that. Five-star app! The Caesar salad was really good too. I also had a slice of Popeye's Passion pizza. It had good flavor, though the crust was a little dry. I agree with Sarah G. that the pizza is more at the three-star level. Side note: I'm sure they get told all the time that it's odd that Popeye's pizza doesn't include spinach. They said it was the owner's nickname and that it has his fave toppings... It's all reasonably priced, so I'll give it four stars as a less expensive option with good food and amenities. read more

I immediately fell in love with the place. Mom and I had the foresight to get a reservation. (Part of good service includes telling people up front that there's a two hour wait for a table.) Once you find the door, you get to walk downstairs among the savory smells of some fine Italian cooking. This place was dark, casual, and comfortable. Folks in the kitchen clearly know their craft. Vendetta's was slammed. This was Vail during wintertime, after all. But they still showed really good attention to service, even well into the dinner rush-hour. Staff was glad to be there with you. And there are two areas to Vendetta's: the upstairs, which is more bar than restaurant, and the downstairs, which is clearly a sit down to relax and enjoy your meal kind-of space. My Chicken Parmesan dish was dead on average. And that is a good thing. It was yummy, and it filled me up. The pasta underneath it was outstanding. My mouth is watering right now as I remember that pasta. There is an FSM. And he touched this dish with his noodly appendage. And the Eggplant Parmesan is a sure winner. Tons of cheesy goodness atop a bed of spinach. Thin eggplant slices breaded and fried just right. Maybe there's too much sauce here, but I'm not complaining. It was also delicious. And they serve up pizza (which we did not get to try), but which really looked good. If I ever get back to Vail, I know where I'll be ordering my pizza. Holler if you're coming with. read more

This is a review that I would appreciate everyone reading. I am not bashing the food or service. I gave two stars because we were made to give up our seats which had been occupied by our family since 1pm -4pm spending more than $400.00. Also, as we were told that we would need to vacate the seats by the management to make room for others, we had just been served a recent round of drinks that we had to leave on the table. We had already obliged by downsizing our table which made no sense since there were 6 unoccupied tables around us. Didn't even chance to sit down, have our 2 year old daughter in a stroller who was sleeping. Had to lift the stroller up the first flight of stairs to the bar landing. As my wife went up the 2nd flight to see the hostess I asked the long hair "prick punk" kid if we were allowed to sit at the bar low tables. His response "go see the host" I said my wife just went up stairs but we didn't want to lug the stroller and the sleeping baby up another flight of stairs if we could eat at that level. This immature pizza flipper who is prop 34 years old again tells me just got see the host. A couple guys at the bar asked if I need help carrying the stroller up, there's no point! There was tables "low top" that we could have sat at and my wife was with the host getting ready to be seated but for some 30 year old pizza flipper to be a condescending kid. Stopped in to Vendetta on a birthday trip to Vail - while this wasn't our first choice, we are so happy this is where we ended up! One downside was the inaccurate quote for a wait time, but it wasn't enough to deter or affect our experience as a whole. I ordered the chicken parmesan (a personal favorite) and a friend ordered the chicken alfredo and both were delicious! The red sauce seemed a little basic without a TON of flavor but was still very good. Pricing was very reasonable especially given that it's in Vail. The server gave us a tiramisu for my birthday dessert that was the highlight of our evening! Will definitely be returning if/when I'm back in Vail to explore the menu! read more

Our hotel recommended this place as the place "where all the locals eat" and good for groups/ families. The food was okay, lasagna (average), calamari (over salted), pizza (meh). Nothing that makes you want to go back. The service is what did us in. Waited 15 minutes (even with reservations), then our server didn't arrive to our table until 20 minutes being seated. Our server was a complete mess, we could never find her, she was spacey and neglectful. We waited another 30 minutes for our bill. So an hour of wasted time. Waited another 15 minutes for our waitress to finally show up and take our order. She checked on us once and that was the last time we saw her until our check arrived. I understand if it's super busy but at 9:30 at night, I can't believe that we only saw our waitress 3 times with maybe 2 other tables. Walking into the restaurant the vibe felt a little off but once our waitress came to the table I knew the vibe was right. The service was absolutely terrible. Our waitress had so much attitude and was extremely rude to everyone at my table. One of my friends asked a simple question of "what is in your pasta salad?" And our waitress responds was "I have no idea. Why do you wanna know" in a very sassy tone. Then she forgot to put in one of my friends order so she had to awkwardly wait while everyone else ate. RUUUUUUUUDE! Absolutely zero sense of hospitality in a town centered around the industry. No greeting by any member of the staff when we walked in. Several servers standing talking to each other. A staff member walked by and we had to ask about how to get seated. He flippantly said "Go to the host station " and kept walking by. We said, "where is the host station? "as this was our first time in the place. He very rudely responded with, "where it says host station" , not even looking back at us and walked away. As a party of 4, we ordered a bruschetta app and 2, 18" pizzas (way too much food!). The pizzas were awesome. So flavorful, perfectly done, and lots of great options. I give the food 5 stars! The service, I would probably give 2 stars. Our particular waiter was actually very kind and patient with our group, but everyone else was very unpleasant. I booked a reservation ahead of time and the gal on the phone was terse and unfriendly. Everyone else we interacted with (the hostess, staff walking around, the man who brought out our food) seemed annoyed. I would still go here for the food, but don't expect great service. We stopped in here for lunch after a morning of skiing on heavy powder. We were starving! This place hit the spot. I had the lunch special - scallops and shrimp in a pesto sauce over rigatoni for $11. It was outstanding! My buddy had the lasagna. It was also amazing. My wife had the turkey club with a salad.
