We ordered the Sweet Boarder pizza and it was absolutely amazing great flavor, perfectly cooked, and exactly what we needed after a long day on the slopes. The only downside was that it was pretty busy when we went, so it was a bit loud and hard to hear each other over the hustle and bustle. Got some takeout last night. The large white pizza was just OK. It was crust with a tiny bit of white sauce and a tiny bit of cheese. It was very dry and we were disappointed. We also ordered a cold Italian sub. We requested to have the oil and vinegar on the side. We didn't get any oil and vinegar and there was no mustard or anything on the sub. We are at a hotel, so we couldn't get any. Plus, where was the lettuce? There was tomato and onion. The sub would have been good had they provided the oil and vinegar or at least mustard. We paid $26 for a pizza with nothing on it and $19 for a small sub. We don't mind paying a lot if the food is good. This was not. Won't be back. read more

This is partly a vail valley issue but the server didn't speak English and didn't understand the order at all. She didn't understand the difference between a salad and a pasta salad. A family near us had the same issues. Our server got pretty much the whole order wrong. The manager was not helpful and pushed back on us and said she was "just an employee" and made excuse after excuse. Markos was my fav for many years and a diamond in the mess of the valley but the service has gone waaaaay downhill. I miss the gray-haired guy who was always there and nailed everything. We stopped here on our way to Salida, during the lunch rush. We were served quickly and our food came out hot and fresh. My only complaint would be that the menu states sandwiches come with chips and pasta salad, ours only came with kettle chips. My guess is that the menu needs updated, but that's a small thing. We had the meatball sandwich and the eggplant Parmesan sandwich. Both were good size and delicious. We saw some of the pizzas come out and they looked great too. read more

This place is BOMB! And service was legit. I ordered the fettuccine with "fatt butt" sauce. Best pasta dish I've had in a LONG time! The pasta and sauce were both legit and the food came out so quickly. Super kudos to our awesome server, Nae Nae. She was really attentive, chill, and personal. A staple within the community, Markos delivers great italian food and a wonderful atmosphere for family friendly dining experience. Everyone had a variety of dinners and they all exceeded expectations. With personal service from the owner and Jack , my family and i had a memorial experience. Chef salad was delicious and shared between all of us.. Plus the Arcade that gad every nostalgic game from my childhood definitely gave the chance for my kids to experience a part of my childhood experience which was a truly amazing family experience shared together. A group of 8 of us ordered dinner from Marco's at around 2 o'clock today and asked that the order be delivered at 5:30. At 6, we called and were told that the order was out for delivery. That was a blatant lie. We called again at 6:30 and was told the same thing. We verified the address and we're assured that it was on the way. Finally, we called and spoke to Mark who claimed to have opened Marco's 28 years ago. It was clear that Mark was stoned or drunk. He could not find the order.
