We had a very large party and rented out the Deca + Bol for the entire evening. The bar is large and we had great service from several bartenders. They have a wide range of specialty cocktails, but serve all of the classics. They also have a good draft beer selection as well. We had a buffet dinner, and it included plenty of options all of which were quite tasty. The bowling lanes are awesome and appear to be brand new. The computer interface makes it easy to keep track and even throws a few jabs at the bowlers from time to time. We had a great time. read more

We were in Vail looking for a place to lunch and we stumbled across this place that looked very understated from the outside and had a bowling alley in the back. We had a group event here and it was awesome. The set up and vibe was perfect. We had college football on the screens above the bowling lanes. Most our our group bowled, we all chilled, and everyone enjoyed the food. We had a variety a wings to start. We ordered the rest of our food from the catering menu. The true definition of good food is when you're full but you keep eating. This place fits that definition. I had to roll myself out. Let's talk about the bar. FANTASTIC selection of spirits. Also, great pricing on highly coveted spirits. I won't quite priced as they can change, but 100% not what I expected to find in Vail. Well, we didn't get to taste the food because we decided to leave before ordering. The attitude of the staff sets a new low! We were told that they only had inside seating but seated several families who just walked up. Okay, fine. We were seated and then the server came to ask us for our drinks. We ordered and she walked away with such an attitude, we felt like apologizing for disturbing her. Then my husband attempted to pick up the menu and the empty glass resting next to it somehow tipped over and shattered. A piece of shattered glass cut my husband's hand so badly, he started dripping blood. Meanwhile, the server and the hostess were standing around and staring. No "Are you okay? Can we help you?" One of them came and offered a bandage and told us that we can move to a new table. At that time, we left. To the staff, if you are reading this, being polite is free, smiling is free. I was skeptical going in based on previous poor reviews but I must say, we were pleasantly surprised! Located in Solaris complex with indoor payed parking lot attached. We came between Xmas & New Year's eve & could only get a 9 pm reservation since it was only reserved the same day. Would recommend making reservations at least a week in advance. There were zero bowling alley slots available for days ! We were seated with courtesy & our waitress checked in on us in timely manner. The ambiance including music is very upbeat. Several TV screens playing various sports in background. Started with Buffalo wings which were perfectly spiced & juicy. I tried the half chicken with mashed potatoes & baby carrots. Chicken was on par, succulent & flavorful. My husband had the NY Prime steak with broccoli which again didn't disappoint. We came here on NYE with their pre-fix menu. Everything was delicious. I had the butternut squash soup, and their dressing on their house salad was yummy. My friends and I were so excited to dine at Deca + Bol on our first night in Vail. We had a great first impression because the hostesses were so nice. We declined drinks because we were trying to avoid altitude sickness and drink as much water as possible, and our waitresses demeanor completely changed. Maybe we're used to southern hospitality, but clearly she hated our guts. Everyone enjoyed their meals. For appetizers, we enjoyed trying the burrata and meatballs. For mains, we got the New York Strip, chicken caesar salad, the wedge with steak, and grilled cheese. The steak was a bit chewy, but otherwise everything tasted pretty good. The atmosphere is a little clubby but both times our service was professional and attentive and the food was outstanding. The dishes include both shareable and mains, with a variety of options. We got to the restaurant and we're not greeted by any staff. We ordered drinks and were never asked if we wanted food or even a menu. The servers never asked us if we needed anything and continued to stand there as we asked for the bill. When we did ask, they didn't give it to us. Every year they announce reservations being available for the holidays but then they block out the entire last two weeks. It's probably a way to gouge people who in for a reservation. They split our booth/table of 4 adults next to a group of 10 young kids and 6 adults - apparently the party maximum of 6 didn't apply to their party. The adults stood in the back & had a gossip sesh while the kids were left unsupervised in the lane - leaning on our screen, pushing the buttons, doing handstands in the lane, rough housing each other, taking our water, putting their grubby greasy kid hands in our bowling balls (side note; it's not easy to bowl with chicken wing grease in the holes). Spoke to the manager, a young man that had a flippant attitude & totally did NOT care about anything we had to say. No refunds because he "can't do anything about the past." Expected a way better experience after spending $400+ there. My advice would be to go later in the evening (we could only get reservations at 4:30pm) so you don't run the risk of parents treating this place like a Chuck E Cheese/social hour. read more

The best part was the terrific cocktails made by our server, Brandon. He recommended the Reuben which my husband loved. We had a 7:15pm reservation on NYE. We enjoyed dinner, dessert and after dessert we ordered 2 cocktails. The waiter refused saying "we are having a NYE party and we need to add more decorations and these people coming paid big money for a ticket to get in." RIDICULOUS. When we walked in, no one mentioned this at all. I guess we aren't special enough even though our bill was $500. I will NEVER be back and it's unfortunate because the food was really good. read more

We took a group here after a soccer tournament. I called a month ahead to make the reservation and was not given any information regarding their inability to do separate checks or that they would be automatically adding gratuity to the bill for the group size (10). I tried to work with the server to order through him instead of going to the bar but he was extremely rude and simply replied that the system couldn't do separate checks and left it at that so I group ordered directly from the bar. When I received the bill, they charged gratuity on the bowling (no drinks or food). I think I've complained at a restaurant maybe twice in my life but why would I pay gratuity on the bowling? That's literally what I paid for - shoes and bowling, there was no service involved. When I said I wasn't going to pay it the server said 'that's your right' but then very rudely blamed me for him not making any money that shift. I then asked to speak to a manager and was met with same rude attitude and echoed that I was taking money away from the server. I guess they expect that if you're in Vail you tip for just being there, not for actual service. The staff there was truly the rudest I have ever encountered. I would NEVER go back. read more
