I've had two dip services done at DK Diamond Nails. Make sure to bring cash for to save yourself the 3% card fee (or $2 to take cash from the ATM in the salon). Located in a small strip of local businesses there is plenty of free parking but the lot does get busy with shopping traffic! Diepy hit it out of the park on my second return (chrome green)! I've never been a regular nail girl but have been to dozens of salons for special occasions over the years. After years of crappy nails, I've decided to treat myself to something nice. Initially, I did a walk-in on a Sunday to remove work done elsewhere and get a new set of dip. The service was fine. The person who did my nails (purple) seemed to be in a hurry but was very nice -- I think my walk-in screwed up their schedule. The layers on my nails were sufficiently thinner and way more natural than the outside work I came with, which I appreciated. After about a week I noticed a hairline crack on my pointer finger, which turned into a full crack after a few days. Super bummed the set only lasted 2 weeks. I made an appointment for about 3 weeks later. Definitely recommend making an appointment! Diepy did such a good job manicuring my fingers and dipping my nails. She could tell I'm right hand dominate based on the growth and wearing of my nails. She took her time to make sure to reinforce the apex and tips with a base coat on top of the colored powder and smoothed the coating to perfection. No lump, bumps, or globs here! I then got treated to a cute photoshoot for my hands, which really boosted my confidence. I also received a gift of handcream for my birthday!! I think it was the best service I've ever had on a full set and at a great price ($53 for dip, $10 for chrome + tip).They had great relaxing spa music playing and fun HGTV shows on the TV. Im happy to have found a great nail salon right in my neighborhood! This second service solidified my love for DK!! read more

I got a dip/powder manicure here a few weeks ago, which turned out nice! Returned today to have them removed and just regular manicure done, and it was HORRIBLE. I obviously didn't expect perfection from a strip mall place like this, but she did a terrible job. Barely trimmed cuticles, left rough edges on the tip, no cuticle oil. I rarely leave reviews, let alone bad reviews, but this was genuinely awful. Avoid this place. read more

I always walk out of DK Diamond Nails feeling pampered thanks to Debbie and her team. Nancy, Amy, Le, Don, etc are all great. On line scheduling is easy and they are willing to do wild things for people's nails. I need plain professional boring nails but sometimes I think those are the hardest to make look nice when you start with paper thin nails and no shape. I'm a loyal customer bc my time spent there is worth it. The price is reasonable, they are kind and offer water and pop if you're thirsty. TVs are on, stands for your phones, etc... Kate always does a great job on my nails acrylic fill with gel polish. this last Sunday, I had Tom for the pedicure. he is the first nail technician who took the time to take care of my ingrown toenails. So fabulous! I made a same day appointment for my daughter (full set) friend (natural nail manicure) and myself (dip manicure). The women were WONFERFUL! So helpful picking colors and got right to work. I wanted just a pretty light pink and I loved the color, my daughter wanted an elaborate flower design and nail extensions. This used to be my go-to spot for pedis. I have only had great pedi experiences here. However, at my last visit, I asked them to remove the gel manicure I had received from them. Instead of soaking and removing as I expected, they used a battery operated sander to remove all of the gel it also removed the top layer of my nail. 4 weeks later, my nails are still incredibly brittle and they look super odd as they grow back in. This will make me think twice about visiting them again. read more

I was looking for a reasonably priced nail place near Minneapolis that would do quality work and also be able to accommodate my entire wedding party for mani/pedis the day before my wedding. Based on reviews, DK Diamond fit the bill, so I gave it a shot and they delivered! When we arrived we were greeted warmly and I was asked to choose a tierra and handed a boquet, which felt a little silly, but was also sort of a fun touch. They worked quickly while also being patient with our large group and even took a bunch of photos of us that they sent afterward, so the service really went above and beyond. As for quality, they had a great selection of colors and did excellent work. My gel manicure was nearly perfect for a full 2 weeks, which included the duration of our honeymoon in Hawaii where my nails were exposed to pools, salt water, and sand. To top things off, they gave me a certificate for a free manicure in the future as a gift for bringing the group. If you're looking for something super luxurious and swanky this probably isn't your place, but if you want friendly service and quality work at a fair price, I would recommend DK Diamond. read more

The nail tech, Anh, did a great job, paying a lot of attention to the finer details of the manicure, like making sure there was no nail bed pooling and intricately cleaning up my cuticles. Everyone was very kind and welcomed me to the salon for my first visit. They gave me a cup of coffee, as well. I took one star off only because I showed up at opening (9:30am) as a walk-in, but no one was there until 9:40, the manicure took longer than usual, and they rather unashamedly asked me to post a review I suppose that's good business sense, though. I called at 5pm and they said I could come in at 7pm- lots of places don't do same day scheduling. Debbie did my nails and it was the best dip manicure I've ever gotten.
