Pizza was delicious and amazing but ranch was too watery and almost flavorless. It was like you can smell they made delicious homemade ranch then watered it down to make more for profit. The wings skin was also too hard and chewy with undercooked meat.. I highly recommend this place either make better food and focus on Quality instead of quantity. Either that or they only be a pizza only shop with breadsticks. For the prices charged you shouldn't get the quality I receivedz... very disappointing yet conflicted

Great pizza. We had a Hawaiian and Venice specialty pies. Very generous and fresh toppings. A little pricey but absolutely worth it. The garlic sauce was a nice surprise which helped ensure we didn't leave one bite of crust. We will definitely order there again.

Took advantage of their special, and had a fantastic pepperoni pizza. Crust was wonderfully crisp, sauce delightful, and perfect amount of cheese. Arguably the basic pizza I've had in Indiana. Only downside, the place is a little run down... I call that character :) This place is a hidden gem right next to IUP... Well worth trying people.

Love the pizza but forget about the online ordering!! Sent an order online but when I went to pick up my pizza, they hadn't even looked at their fax machine to see if there were any orders!. So I had to place my order (again) and wait another 30 min for my pizza. If they are going to have online ordering-please check the online machine-why have it if they aren't going to check it! And then they got the order wrong after looking at the printed order! read more

This is the worst waste of money (on food) I can ever remember. It started out like a good idea. We checked into the hotel, asked for local food options, and the clerk really sold us on Venice Cafe - he said that's what everyone always got and they would deliver straight to your room. That sounded great. We placed an order over the phone. They weren't that friendly, the guy taking the order stopped at one point to yell at a co-worker, and overall it was a really slow process getting everything taken care of (seemed like their computer system was complicated), but hey - it was a weekend night and they were probably busy. It cost $50 for a fish hoagie, a veggie stromboli, a small cheese pizza, and a couple salads. Kind of on the expensive side, but convenient, so OK. We were told it would arrive in half an hour. After about an hour, we started wondering ... but thought maybe they were just busy. After about 90 minutes, there is a knock at the door. The delivery guy is there, looking sheepish, and brings just the hoagie and the cheese pizza. He said another delivery guy took the other items, but they would bring the salads soon, and if it made us feel any better, someone else was going to be upset they got a veggie stromboli. We were a little taken aback, but he zipped away and so we just waited to see what would happen. The fish sandwich was cold and bland. Meanwhile, my friend called the restaurant to see what was going on. The manager yelled at him (he could not understand what he was saying) and then hung up on him. A few minutes later, a different delivery guy brought the salads and said the stromboli would be on the way soon. My friend let him know we had spoken to the manager and gotten hung up on, and the delivery guy shrugged knowingly and remarked "yeah, he's Turkish". Whatever that means?? So, we eat salad and regret ever calling this place. There is one more knock at the door, and now there is a third guy with the stromboli. OK, so now we finally have everything we ordered (third time is a charm?). The cheese pizza tasted awful, we had two slices and threw the rest away. The stromboli was undercooked ... the dough was actually still raw inside. It seemed like after their mistake, they rushed the order and did not bother to cook it all the way before sending it off. I tried eating some of the veggies inside (also raw!! the mushrooms were not cooked at all and the other veggies just ended up as toppings on my sorry salad). I had to throw away the crust. It was a HORRIBLE meal, and overall a terrible experience with service so bad it almost seemed like a sketch comedy skit. There was no silver lining. We wasted $50, were left worse than hungry (the food was awful) and now it was midnight and too late to bother finding something else. There were no apologies or discounts on behalf of the management. The best we can do is just warn others not to make the same mistake. : ( read more

Unfortunate for me, two weeks ago. I also visited the Hoss's in Grove city, expecting a similar experience as I had recently had in Indiana PA. Unfortunately, the Grove city experience was nowhere near the quality of the Indiana, PA restaurant. I'd like to compliment Hoss's Indiana, PA restaurant on a job well done! Shout out to Indiana County's Venice Cafe & Pizzaria! I work in the service industry, so if there's two things I know, it's: 1 chaos is trying 2 shit happens Tonight I placed an order on Slice for Venice. I ordered a special for 1 large one topping pizza and 1 hoagie for $23.99 Went to pick it up and apparently the purchase reached their computer but never printed as a kitchen order. The young girl behind the counter was answering multiple calls as the phones were ringing off the hook, trying to separate orders, was at a loss of trying to locate my missing slip, and I could sense her overwhelming anxiety. The owner stepped in and asked me to give him 10 minutes and he would make us our order personally. I just smiled, told them to relax and that I understood. Fast forward to pick up attempt #2 to my surprise, he did it (and in record time)! He had me astounded with our fresh pepperoni pizza and meatball sub.. PLUS! He threw in an additional order of complimentary fries, chicken strips, a stromboli, AND jalapeño poppers! Oh. And the entire order, start to finish, was on the house.. Kindness and understanding go a long way. SHOP SMALL & HAVE EMPATHY; it's underestimated by most. 6/5 's in my book read more

Went here for the first time, and it was amazing! The service is amazing and very personal. They take time to ask you how everything is, and how the food tastes. On the food, the pizza crust was delicious and soft, the cheese was perfectly melted and the delivery was so fast! The salads are large with really yummy dressing. Overall, my experience was amazing and we plan on ordering takeout very soon! :) read more

We tried a Calzone and a Stromboli, both of which were very good. Both a generous size - I'm not sure which we like better -- we'll have to try them both again in order to decide. I definitely recommend Venice Cafe & Pizzeria. They also are open very late for those of us that need something good after normal hours!! read more
