We constantly get compliments on the appearance of our home. Samantha was the landscape architect who created the design, and it was amazing to see her lay out the vision. She saved us space in ways I definitely couldn't have conceived of on my own. She said the remodel would be like doubling our living space, and she was right! Scott oversaw the construction from start to finish. He was very attentive and obviously cared about and was fully invested in the success of the project. He had an expertise with plants and gave great guidance to give me the colors I wanted in plants that would work for our space and the SoCal heat. I am constantly smiling at the plants Scott suggested. They are thriving, and I wouldn't change a thing. The crew was respectful, clean and did a beautiful job. It was a long project, but Pacific Outdoor kept their initial timeline. Our main reason for going with Pacific Outdoor was that they were a one-stop shop. They could do everything. They truly delivered, and it is better than we ever imagined! It was so easy to look at their choices and select what we wanted. They had a wide variety of design choices. We replaced most of the grass in the back with their pavers and used the same pavers for our driveway. They look fantastic. We have a neighbor that had Pacific Outdoor build them a firepit that they love. We received great guidance and attention from the full team all along the way. I would also caution anyone considering going with System Pavers to steer clear of those crooks. I wasted thousands of dollars having them do a terrible job on my pool deck, and had to have Pacific rip out their work and fix it. The entire project took about nine months, with roughly half that time spent navigating Los Angeles County's permitting and approval process. Picture Build's permit coordinator did an excellent job keeping everything moving and minimizing delays. The demolition phase was exceptional. Luis and his crew removed our old pool in a neighborhood where heavy equipment wasn't an option, so most of the work had to be done by hand. Their skill, professionalism, and attention to detail were impressive. Once demolition was complete, a talented team of craftsmen brought our vision to life. They poured new concrete, built a beautiful stacked-stone retaining wall, and installed stunning travertine pavers throughout the patio. The quality of their workmanship is outstanding. Our project manager, Jorge, kept both the demolition and construction phases running smoothly. Like any major project, we encountered a few minor challenges, but every issue was resolved quickly and professionally by Jorge or John Durso, the company's general manager. Finding a reliable, trustworthy and reasonably priced tradesperson is really challenging these days…read morebut they are out there. Pineda's Masonry is one of those that are out there and I'm glad that I was able to hire Victor and his company to fix my damaged wall. The quote I received from them wasn't the least expensive but it was far from being the most expensive and landed right about in the middle of all the other quotes. However, the quote from Pineda's was detailed with what work was going to be done, the area that was going to be worked on and the scope of work listed wasn't creating far more work than necessary given that it was a 50+ yr old brick wall that survived major earthquakes and was only damaged because a careless driver drove into it. When Victor and his crew did the job, they were neat and thorough in their work. The area that was worked on was swept clean and all residue from the demolition of the damaged wall was undetectable and the broken brick was taken away the same day. Once the mortar for the repaired wall had dried and there was no rain in the forecast, they finished by putting the colored smooth stucco. All in all, my experience was very positive from getting the quote all the way up to the completion. Victor did a good job of communicating the process and timeframe and set reasonable expectations which were all met. Highly recommended!

I had spoken with 3+ contractors who all said the entire wall would need to be rebuilt, and gave me double digit estimates to do the work. A friend engineer-construction person took a look and said the rest of the retaining wall was fine. I then consulted Angi's list for masonry business's willing to do smaller repair jobs. Called a couple and they visited. WCD Masonry gave the best bid. William has good communication skills. He was able to understand the problem and quickly formulated a plan to fix it. There were also gardeners involved, and he was able to coordinate with their timeline. He stayed true to his word. He was also flexible in making adjustments per the relevant neighbor's desires. He and his right-hand man, Manny know their masonry. They were highly efficient in; evaluation; accommodating the inconvenienced neighbor; demolition of damaged wall; purchasing appropriate replacement materials; putting everything together and finishing it all up with a beautiful matching paint job that caused me to say "It looks like it's been there for years. That's a beautiful wall!" They also patched up an adjacent damaged wall without mention or extra charge. Didn't see it tell later the night of their project's completion. They were focused on repairing a 'breakdown problem', and kept with that priority. William is an artist. This is an excellent company. If you like intelligent, qualified, able, efficiency, with good stable priority's, this is the place to go. This positive experience changes my attitude about hiring help. If I thought up some other needed masonry projects, I would want them to do the work. Side note; also, they are very likable people.

I hired Jaime years ago to fix a wall that was missing some cinder blocks, to increase privacy of…read moreour back yard which faces the street. After initial inspection, he came with a crew. They added few rows without paying attention to detail of adding sufficient concrete between them. My mom had to tell the workers to fill in the gaps. Then we had to tell them to fill in the gaps on our neighbor side because we share a wall. They did lazy work. Those areas were not filled at the joints. Needless to say, years later, today I am having issues with the wall. Because of the size block they used, my wall is now leaning and starting to buckle out. The new contractor I hired said this new block that was added is not up to code and it is the incorrect type/size. They should have never used it. Contractor also said many blocks are not set correctly because the joints were not properly adhered together with enough concrete between them. I was charged $1300 to add these 2-3 rows of blocks. And this was at least 7-8 years ago. I feel like I was ripped off. Now I have to tear the wall down and do it all over again because it has leaned to far it can't be repaired. It has to be replaced. Very upsetting especially because I wanted to hire a small local business. I want to support my community. It feels like they took advantage of our lack of knowledge behind wall building and codes. That's prob the worst part.
