This is one of the few times I've gone to a smaller venue especially with such a wide dance floor. For the price, it's totally worth it to go if you can make the trip as you can end up real close to the stage if you want or move around depending on the people present. Otherwise, there's a section of seated tables you can pay more to sit at and enjoy the event in comfort. It was definitely a venue for local artists to perform at, not like the theatre venues in LA. One of the fans actually managed to get the artist to sign their merch after the concert was over!! While, I didn't partake in the alcohol/food vendors there. The staff there were relatively professional about it and prices are generally what you'd expect. There is parking in the back of the venue, but since I had arrived past sundown it was pretty hard to see the entrance on the first go around. Otherwise, I would recommend you park in the residential blocks as it wasn't a tough time walking to the venue. While unclear at the time, the venue security said no outside bottles/drinks before you enter the venue.

All the surfers are really great. The corn hole competition is always a heated event that is amusing to watch. The bikini cow girl contest it definitely fun to watch. All the women kill it! They come to win for sure. But the best part to me is going with your friends! It is a great local even run by some really wonderful people! I strongly suggest going to this sick event!

But this year the headliners weren't very good and they had too many stages for such a small festival and on Sunday the bands all played late. So the music was meh. Beer, in general, isn't gluten-free, so I was thrilled to find that Leashless offers three gluten-free beer options! It's located in downtown Ventura and is walking distance to the beach. The entrance is stunning, reminiscent of the buildings in Santa Barbara. They have both outdoor and indoor seating, and we chose to sit inside. The decor is charming, beachy, and rustic. Our server, Lila, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We were excited to learn that all their beer is organic, which is a huge plus for me. I decided to order a flight of beer and one cider. No need to fight the traffic to downtown LA, or even the maze of traffic lines that pretend to be the 101 Freeway to Santa Barbara (which isn't exactly chopped liver when it comes to music! ) But this season is eclectic and great. Hit their website to see what's coming up this Summer--we've already had from the Beatles to Beethoven. I'm grabbing tickets to this season.
