I was a customer for over 40 years. I took my car to Ventura Toyota to repair a rattle in the engine compartment. The Service Writer ,Carlo, refused to accept my car for repair because it was more than ten years old. He said the mechanics receive only six minutes of pay for diagnosing an engine problem and they only want to work on cars with problems that can be diagnosed by the computer. I took the car to an independent shop and they replaced a defective fan belt pulley for $80 labor. I will never return to this dealership. I am certain that I have spent over $100,000 on maintenance and repairs at Ventura Toyota and I will not spend another dime with these jerks. read more

My wife was wanted a small SUV type call. We looked at several options and she liked the RAV4 the best. In addition, she wanted a hybrid. After looking and test driving a 2025 RAV4 hybrid and a RAV4 hybrid plug-in, we were undecided. We found out that Toyota was running a special on the plug-in version giving a $6500 lease credit and an interest rate less than 1%. This made the cost of the plug-in close to the regular hybrid. After checking several websites, we went to Ventura Toyota and met a salesperson named Adam Persall. He was a knowledgeable and not pushy. He was very helpful at explaining the differences between the hybrids. A couple days later, we decided to get a car. Turns out, they are not easy to get. Adam found one in Fresno with the options and color my wife wanted and arranged to have it brought to Ventura. Adam explained that we were under no obligation to buy it. The car had everything my wife wanted including the blue color. We were going to sell her old car and Adam asked that we give Toyota a chance to buy it. They made an offer similar to what we would have gotten from on-line sites. The buying process was relatively simple and quick. Adam had sent a link to an on-line lease form so we had all the info had been filled out before getting to the dealership. After the transaction was complete, Adam spent at least 45 minutes showing us all the bells and whistles including getting my wife's phone paired with the car. Since I purchased my Toyota, I have had it serviced here. Customer service is ok! I feel since Covid... there's a decline in customer service everywhere. They no longer wash your car after a service. Prices have gone up as well for an oil change and etc. They get you a Lyft on them if you can't wait for them to finish. This time service took about 3 hours since I had a tire rotation. read more

Throughout afterwards up until 18 months and 140,000 miles the service department went to great to just a little above worthless and dishonest as it could get. And gladly went to Hamer Toyota for my service needs and my current Toyota a Corolla Hybird. This past Friday came limping into Ventura Toyota on a flat tire with the bead broken with the Toyota tire service extended warranty and was turned away because of no appointment and no tire in stock and the service advisor stated this deleaship doesn't honor Toyota Tire Service.
