I'm so grateful to find this dealership. I had been doing a long drive up to Santa Barbara to get…read moremy Fiat worked on, and since I have two Fiats I thought I need to find a closer place that works on Fiats. Well, I found this place, and they fixed my Fiat at no cost since it's still very new and under warranty, but the best part is that I felt like I was treated very well. I had only all good interactions with everyone there. My first experience was the sales guys who wanted to buy my car, told me they were looking to purchase a car like mine that's relatively new with under 16K miles. Lightly used, looks amazing, but I couldn't bite the deal, since I had paid cash for my car, and had no payments, so any deal they could come up with, and some were pretty sweet deals, just weren't enough to sway me into getting into another $400 a month lease or purchase. But, they were exceptionally nice, and didn't push too hard, even though when they brought out that brand new Jeep, I kinda drooled a little. Haha The girls in the office were all so nice to me and we had great conversations. They were amazing. I'm that kind of customer that loves to interact, so when I approached them and asked them how come they weren't mechanics, their response made me smile and shake my head. I loved it though, they said what young girls say "We're too beautiful to be mechanics." That's when I busted out photos of my exceptionally beautiful daughter who worked as an Aircraft mechanic at age 22 making over $40 per hour. I was like "Girls, you're never too beautiful to get paid a lot of money as a mechanic." I then encouraged them to pursue anything they desire. I hope one day to run into one of them again. The guy I interacted with there at the dealership was Rick. I am thrilled to say that he was an amazing person to meet and work with. He was so kind about my car, and reassured me that the only major problem was that my battery needed to be replaced. And, to top it off it was all covered under the warranty. Also, they worked on the recall and that too was covered. He informed me that the only thing they couldn't do was the car wash, that was okay though because he told me if I take my receipt showing my car was worked on over to the gas station off of Victoria and Valentine road that I'd get a complementary car was from that gas station there. That was so nice to hear! Rick was very personable. I was so worried because I had bad experiences at the dealership in Santa Barbara. I read all these reviews here and thought wow, people really didn't give that great of reviews. I wanted to be fully honest about my experience, and give details so that I didn't miss anything. Oh! The mechanics accidentally left a really nice portable battery charger in the back of my car. Rick called me to ask if it was there and I got his voice mail, so I called him back and let him know it was. They're going to arrange to come to me to pick it up, rather than me having to take time off to go back to the dealership. That was amazing to me too. Overall, my experience here has made me feel that I can trust them, and that they're all wonderful people, managers, sales staff and the whole team, I had nothing but the best experience. So good that I would definitely consider buying my first Jeep from them. It's a future purchase I am sure. I like fun cars. This is why I own two silly little Fiats. They're cute, they're quirky, and fun. The only drawback to owning a Fiat, is being able to find people to work on them. So, if you have a Fiat, please take it here. Don't waste your time going to Santa Barbara, if you don't want to do that drive. I'm not really trying to talk bad about Santa Barbara's Crown Dodge, to be fair, I keep trying to love them, I really do, because I want a good relationship with whoever works on my car... I truly do. I like when companies make you feel like family. Shameless plug: Williams Automotive in Ventura is absolutely the best but he doesn't work on Fiats - Dang it! Please don't take my post down... honestly you gotta love a good local honest mechanic like Scott at Williams. But this dealership is legit, hell of a lot better than most dealerships I have been to when it comes to customer service. And, they work on Fiats, so there's that too. I'm telling all my friends who own Fiats to stop driving to Santa Monica and Santa Barbara. And, the Thousand Oaks dealership stopped working on Fiats, which to me breaks my heart they were so so so good there too. Anyways, yeah, enough about Fiats. This team is great. And, EXTRA KUDOS to Rick, and the girls at the front desk, wish I could remember their names, they're beautiful inside and out! They even told me I was beautiful... which was so dang kind. That brightened my day! P.S. Go check out the painting on the wall there of under the Ventura Pier, it's pretty beautiful! I think they said it was a giant sticker but it looks like a painting to me. It's great!

Over six weeks, I visited 4 different Subaru dealerships to test drive cars and talk numbers. And I spoke with 2 more by phone and email around LA. I compared everything. Rick stood out immediately: straightforward, fair, patient, and genuinely kind. He got me a great deal, took real time to help me set up the car, and answered every question without pressure. I had plenty of frustrating experiences at 4 other subaru dealerships--price games, surprise add-on prices from the sticker price, wasted trips, and uncomfortable pressure tactics. Working with Rick was the complete opposite. Honest, respectful, and easy from start to finish. If anyone I know ever wants a Subaru, I can now say, "I have a guy I trust!" Thank you, Rick-you deserve a raise!

That said, my car buying experience couldn't be improved on. We bought a used Certified (by the maker) Subaru sight unseen. The price was so good I thought there must be a catch. But quite the contrary--the vehicle, a '24 with 16K miles, looked 100% new, and the drive to our home confirmed it. And of course it included the 2nd key fob (otherwise a $400+ experience) and owner's manual. Val, the finance manager, persuaded us to get an extended warranty from Subaru. I'm not saying you should, but at least Subaru has a stake in treating me fairly, unlike the independent extended warranty providers, who have a reputation for making it as difficult as possible to get the service you paid for. I did almost the entire transaction by phone and email, trusting the Subaru Certified used vehicle program, and it saved my spouse and me several hours at the dealership. Within the scope of my experience with Kirby I'd recommend them highly.

I made two separate visits, and he was never pushy during either visit. At the second visit, I had a checklist of literally 50 questions, and he spent like 3 hours with me going over each and every one of my questions. He showed me how everything works. For example, I wanted to see how the sensors work when parallel parking together. He showed me how the front sensors, the rear sensors, and rear camera all work together to help you parallel park safely and with confidence. I asked to do it a second time, and he gladly did. I asked to do it a third time, he gladly did, letting me fully understand how it all worked, and that it was exactly what I wanted. He was like this for everything, friendly, patient, and making it fun! He never felt like a sales guy, no pressure! No arm twisting! So different than the other places I went!!! He knew the exact answer to 49 of my 50 questions, and for the 50th, he asked the service/tech guy (Omar), who told him the "trick" to get the feature to work (you had the turn on the feature in the menus). Then, five minutes later Omar comes back to make sure we got it to work. We said we got it working, and there were high fives all around. Manny stayed late, way past his shift, never watching the clock, never urging me, never pushing. Doing the deal was very fair, very friendly. On top of all of that, when it came time to do the final paperwork and signatures, Jonathan (who did the paperwork and signatures) was so friendly and upbeat. It was 10pm, and he was like "Dude, you are buying this car, congratulations. Welcome to the Honda family!". After the last signature, he high fived me and saw me to the car. Everyone there was awesome, Manny, Omar, Jonathan, JP, and the manager Angel. Thanks you for helping me buy a car that is right for me.

But soon after finding out issues and the slowness of customer service response, my purchase turned out to be an awful experience and lesson learned. this is my personal experience with my purchase with this dealership, I am sure not everyone will have issue with them, but I have owned 12 cars over past 10 years , dealt with many delaers and this by far, is the worst experience. I been looking for a gle63 / x5m for a while and saw a black gle63 from this dealership with the color I want. since I am 3hr+ away I blindly trusted their review and decided to do the deal sign the contract remotely and pickup the car halfway , big mistake, never do that again, Cooper was nice and helped on delivering the car near Long Beach, but after delivery , there are so many issues was hidden from me before I sign, that I regret on doing business with this dealership. 1. The car was delivered without any detail, it was dirty and no wash at all, full of swirl and light scratches all over .that is still fine, I hired professioals to do paint correction anyway 2. There dents / door dings when it deliver to me, I need to hire dent repair, dealership agreed to cover $150 which does not cover the full cost of repair anyway 3. Service was past due 50+ days on a car with 1700 miles. Before delivery dealer told me they took to merceds dealership for service, but when I took the car it shows past due, I need to spend time and go to Mercedes service again and who knows what else can go wrong in the car . I'm not able to use the MB app, Sean the manager told me he will take care of it but never did. 4. The most ridiculous part, the car came with 8 screw marks / penetration on rear trunk cover. Apparently when they mount the license plate on there, the housing braket was missing 4 screws, someone tried to mount the screw regardless and the moron did it multiple times and failed multiple times, which left about 8 screw marks which penetrates deep in to the metal I can see bare metal (photo attached), eventually they forcely screwed 2 holes on top and cover it up with license plate frame, but some screw marks are visible from lower angle even covering with plate. This is an abusive action from the crew and shows they treat the cars they are selling like trash, after made a big mess they decided to hide it under the rug and hoping customer won't find out before they sign the contract :( Of course dealer refused to cover anything on #4, and they blame it on previous owner, but I don't believe that, it is dealers careless action on their cars, and now as a customer, I am bearing the loss of this. Now I have to spend money to repaint the rear trunk area , dealer offers touch up pen LMAO NO THANK YOU I'm not doing that on a new hundred thousand dollar plus car. want to emphasize Cooper (salesman) has been nice , responsive and trying to help this whole time, but there is only up to a certain amount of help he can offer since he is not the manager, the management team and dealership itself feels like irresponsive, lack of care of their cars and their customers, if a dealer does not take good care of the cars (and this dealer selling mainly luxury cars) , how can a customer trust you and buy cars from you? YOU NEED TO TREAT YOUR CARS , SAME WAY YOUR CUSTOMER TREAT THEIR CARS , I bought many cars from Automation and they take care of their cars and customers I can say from my experience. Lesseon learned, never close any deal remotely, always go in person and examine the car carefully before pulling the trigger And, personally, I will stay away from this dealership it took me over a week to receive my copy of the contract, I cannot imagine what other issues I would be facing, would I ever be receiving my registration? likely there will be mess up on DMV I would guess. I donno , but will update here what happens in 3 months I guess :/
