The sales people are OK but just wanted to get the car sold. I hate the car, a 2024 Murano. Terrible design on the hood where it meets the windshield. Constantly catches the sun glare right into the driver's eye. Also, have taken the car in for a screeching noise that the car makes while driving at highway/freeway speeds. Of course, the service department couldn't find the source of the sound, probably because they didn't bother to take it on the freeway. I can't wait until my lease ends to get rid of this car. 1 star only because I can't give 0. I brought my car in for a simple oil change. During the visit they immediately started listing over $2,000 in "recommended repairs." I declined. A few days later I noticed a noise under my car and discovered the oil drain plug access cover hanging down with only one bolt holding it -- something that clearly happened after the oil change. I contacted the shop and spoke with Robert Reyes. He told me to bring the car in and said that if it was their mistake, they would take responsibility. I brought the car back on Monday, the only day I could fit it into my schedule. After that, the story started changing. On Tuesday I was told I would have to buy the part myself and they would only install it, which was not what I had been told before. Over the next few days I called multiple times and left several voicemails for Robert and management with no response. When Robert finally answered, he suddenly claimed the part had nothing to do with the oil change and quoted me $61.86 plus tax for the part and another $50 to install it. He cut me off while I was speaking and simply told me my car was ready for pickup. My car sat there for four days with no clear communication and constant changes to their explanation. When the car was picked up, my family went to the dealership while I stayed on the phone during the pickup. Even then, it felt like they were trying to make it sound like I was the one refusing service, which is not true. I simply wanted them to take responsibility for something that clearly happened during their service. Interestingly, when my family arrived, Robert Reyes suddenly corrected himself and admitted that the issue was in fact related to their service. It was frustrating because it felt like the story kept changing depending on who was there. To make matters worse, they did not even return the original piece with the screws and kept it. I now have to go back again just to pick up a part that belongs to my own car. This situation is not about $60. It is about honesty, accountability, and basic respect for customers. The way this was handled was extremely unprofessional. Worst experience I've ever had related to an automotive repair! SPOILER...Team Nissan LIED about testing our fuel pump and pressure line to sell us a new TRANSMISSION, then told us we had a FUEL PUMP issue they "forgot" to check before installing the transmission. Full story and details below: We have a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum with 115K miles at time of service, and we were on the final stretch of a near 3,000 miles road trip headed back to Phoenix. Noticed a loss of power and jerking feeling when accelerating. No check engine lights or error codes, and zero issue when idling. Symptoms sounded like the MAF sensor could be the culprit, so we changed that out and the car ran perfectly for the rest of the day (200 miles). Made it 40 miles next day before the same issue returned. We made a reservation at Oxnard Team Nissan for the next morning at 7:00am Monday. We had a Jiffy Lube do a quick check to make sure it wasn't something simple. We replaced place all spark plugs, one ignition coil, performed a transmission fluid and fuel service, and pressure tested the fuel pump. A test drive with the technician found fuel pressure levels were not regulating properly. They didn't have the parts or ability to check this further, so we waited for our appointment the next morning. Dropped off at 7:00am Monday morning with Robert. I talked through everything we had experienced over the previous 72 hours, showed receipts and notes for all repairs and replacements, and talked through the failed pressure test at Jiffy Lube. Robert agreed it could be a fuel pump issue, and they would perform a full diagnostic and pressure test. At noon they stated a full diagnostic was performed and "everything had been tested", and our transmission had failed. A new one would be $7,300, but they'd discount to $6,300 to help us out because they had one on hand. Of course, I was shocked he said transmission, but since they said they tested "everything", including a pressure test, and "everything else was fine", we agreed to the new transmission. The next day at 9:00am we receive a text from Robert that the car will be completed by noon. When I hadn't heard anything by 11:30am, I called for an update. Robert said, "not sure how it happened", but the pressure test on the fuel pump had never happened and they first tested it AFTER they replaced the transmission. WHAT!!!! He was very apologetic and said he knew they had made a mistake. He said, "I'll talk to my service manager Matt Clancy, and they'd make it right for us". When I arrived at the Team Nissan, I recorded the entire conversation on my phone with Matt and Robert. Matt said he "was just getting caught up on the situation and needed more details", and echoed Robert's statement that they'd "make it right". Their solution was to replace the fuel pump and reduce the overall cost to $4,200 which was their "parts only" cost, removing labor. We needed the vehicle back to get home to Phoenix, so I reluctantly agreed to replace the fuel pump, but wrote on the paperwork I was NOT AGREEING to the process or the fact they LIED about performing a pressure test BEFORE they replaced the transmission, when they hadn't tested it. Or worse, perhaps they did test it and knew that was the issue, but claimed it was the transmission to make a larger sale knowing we were on the road and stuck in Oxnard until the issue was resolved. Regardless, this is why people do not trust dealership repair centers. Straight up lied to us on a test that wasn't performed, changed big items that were likely unnecessary, and they eventually got around to the easier, cheaper part. Needless to say, we are seeking legal counsel on what our options are at this point to pursue Team Nissan for fraudulent behaviors, unless of course they do the right thing and reimburse us the cost of the transmission we do not need and only charge us for the parts and labor on the fuel pump we did need, that we stated from the start to check, which they said they had. Came to pick up my car after service. Mr. Reyes was the only customer service person at the counter. He acknowledged me and told me he would be right with me. 15 minutes later, and three phone calls he made, he still did not let me pick up my car. Another employee finally stepped in and apologized to me for the poor service. The best part is that Mr. Reyes was very attentive when trying to upsell me on services I did not need. 2021. I have bought at NV Nissan 200 stay away from this van not once but twice my van caught on fire shame on Nissan for even selling these thank God they had been recalled. Nissan corporation is being uncooperative and the damage my tools or a contractor. I lost everything in my van Nissan envy 200 complete total loss. I had 2017 that burnt and I had a 2021 that burnt. This Nissan dealer wanted to charge me almost $1,000 to repair an oil leak from valve cover, citing 3.5 hours of labor. Ojai European Auto and another Ojai mechanic looked it up on the Nissan site for this repair, and it showed 1.5 hours of labor, reducing the price by about $700. It was actually on the Nissan site! They not only inflated the price of labor, but the number of hours of labor! They also charged me $3 for a fumigation of my car, which I never asked for and I was never verbally told about this. It was in the invoice that I signed in the beginning, but I do not expect them to sneak in a service that I have not verbally agreed to. Also, they don't ask if you want your oil maintenance reminder to be turned on. They just turn it on. So, I had to spend an hour afterwards, figuring out how to turn it off. read more

Daniel (Service Advisor) went above and beyond my expectations to help get my Infiniti repaired. He's super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Initially, I brought my car to the Infiniti dealer but discovered it had gone out of business the day after Christmas. Luckily, Daniel at Nissan which is next door to the Infiniti dealer was willing to help me. Turned out the problem was the alternator and the part needed to be ordered. Daniel got me a Nissan loaner and reassured the alternator and other necessary repairs would be made. Turns out the alternator was back ordered but Daniel reassured me that he would keep me updated once the part came in. Luckily, my vehicle was still covered under my extended warranty. Daniel made sure my repairs & car loaner would be covered. He kept his word and my car was repaired and back on the road. I would highly suggest Team Nissan for your vehicles needs. I bought a 2022 Nissan Sentra in December 2022. A couple of months later, I noticed a rattle. When it was time for the oil change, I asked them to look a see if anything was loose. They told me the engine cover under the car was cracked. When I took it in for repair, the service department said it wasn't under warranty because "crashes" are not covered. I told him I didn't crash it, but he said that it didn't just happened. So I had to pay out of pocket. I was going to take the shuttle to work instead of wait, but the service guy said it would only take a few minutes. It's took an hour and a half. The quality of the car is crap. I have never had an engine cover crack before. I didn't crash it, and I should not be paying for poor product quality. The mechanic brought the piece into the lobby, and even said "I do not see any impact". That's because I didn't crash it. I will never buy another Nissan product again. Poor quality and poor service! **the dealer ended up not charging me afterall, because they did not see an "impact". Just like I told them. Well, Team Nissan - you lost our business. First and foremost, let me explain why. We owned an automatic Nissan Versa, 2013 with under 40,000 miles on it that we purchased in San Diego for our son to use to drive back and forth to college. Now, we live in Ventura County and thought Oxnard, Team Nissan would be a good place to go if we needed a dealership to fix something. (We were wrong.... not a good place to go! So, don't make the same mistake we did and pay these people for an estimate to repair your car there - do not pay them a dime. You will see why.) Anyways, we noticed our Nissan was acting funny when shifting. We took it over to a very trusted transmission place in Ventura that is one of the highest rated Transmission specialists, who we fully trust to look it over. The transmission specialists kept the car a few days, ran a lot of tests on it and told us it's not the transmission (whew - thank god right?). It's just a computer component that needs to be replaced. They said to us to take it to the dealership so they can replace the computer component. So we thought okay lets go to "Team Nissan of Oxnard." We took it to the dealership and dropped it off. We just told them it's shifting funny and left it at that. We were planning to leave it there so they could run tests and figure out what is wrong, find the computer component that is bad. Instead, that is not what happened. The mechanic took it for a "test drive" but never hooked it up to any machines to test it. Never ran any tests other than the "test drive" and gave us an estimate to replace the entire transmission (costing over $5,000 for an entirely new transmission). I called BULLSHIT on that and told my husband go back and get the car and screw them because they're trying to scam us. We did have to pay them the nearly $200 for them to lie to us. They literally charge to diagnose and then don't even diagnose! Their diagnosis is nothing more than driving our car and taking it for a "test" drive. And then what? The mechanic is all "Yup yup, it for sure needs a new transmission, it's driving funny, yup yup, I test drove it, yup yup." *head explode emoji* All I can say is thank god our car was an automatic! I doubt he would be competent enough to know how to drive a manual transmission. Seriously. Their mechanics are completely incompetent if you ask me. And $5,000+ dollars for a new transmission!!!! That's what they quoted us! Seriously? Are you kidding me? It doesn't need a new transmission. It doesn't even have 40K miles on it, and this car has been babied. It was looked over thoroughly by a Transmission Specialist, and they said it's not the transmission. They were being honest. But these guys at Team Nissan determined the car needed a new transmission by taking it for a "Test drive." Total BS! We never even bothered to correct them, or argue it. We just said "We'd like to come pick up the car." In fact we were looking to fix it and then trade it in, or trade it in as is, and buy a new car. We drove it to another dealership, who looked it over and determined it was worth quite a bit as a trade in, and we got a new Hyundai Elantra instead of even fixing the Nissan. Traded in the Versa, they gave over $2500 for it, also gave them $3,000 cash and got a 2023 Elantra. Stupid move Nissan. You could have had a car sale, and dedicated customers. But your mechanic made the grave mistake of bullshitting us into believing we needed a whole new transmission on a car that definitely did not need a new transmission, and trying to get us to cough up $5K+ for a new transmission. Seriously? All your people care about is making profit obviously by being DISHONEST. Oh well... we know never to buy a car from them, or support them in anyway, and we will never refer anyone to them. We have 5 cars at our house, 5 drivers. Two were Nissan Drivers. Now - no more. Thank you but no thank you. Not around here we're not. Screw them! Do not trust them to be honest, their mechanics are scam artists. Don't waste your time. The only thing I regret is not going back there and shoving the proof that it's not the transmission in that stupid mechanics face. I should have, I could have. But, I didn't want to get arrested, because I possibly would have lost it on them. Because if there's one thing I absolutely despise it's deceitful, lazy, dishonest mechanics who will always quote you the highest price repair even if your car doesn't need it. Despicable! read more

I purchased a brand new Pathfinder and my first hand wash I encountered a couple scratches on the bumper, I swear on my my mother's grave they had be there when I purchased it. After I took it for an estimate following "Team Nissan Oxnard" instructions and getting the quote they said I probably hit something, BS. I only drive it to work 3 days a week and noone parks in front of me and is parked on my driveway the rest of the week. I happened to use another car to get groceries, 6 years old and not one scratch. I recommend you inspect your car with a loupe before taking off the lot. I had these people perform the first service under my maintenance contract, and we discussed the need for a scan to determine if the transmission fluid was degraded; this is in the owners manual, and the transmission is sealed so you can't check it any other way. This is supposed to be done at 15k miles. The service writer agreed they couldn't tell without the scan, and said they would do it when that service was due. Yesterday I took it in for the service and asked them to perform the scan and document it. The new service writer said they would have to charge for the scan. I explained I was told they would do as part of the service previously, bit the new person wouldn't and the old one os gone. He couldn't tell me how else they would know. Nutshell, they did not do it; this dealership would not honor their word. Avoid these folks. There is another Nissan dealership in Thousand Oaks, and they are honest and honorable. read more

Almost everything was right up to this point. I took my car in for a CHECK ENGINE light about 2 weeks ago. They said diagnosis would cost me about $129 unless it was covered, I agreed. In the end, I thought the softare was covered and updated, my mistake to assume. Today, I took it for a required oil change and the same CHECK ENGINE light. It was running as normal, even with the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, before I took it in for the required OIL CHANGE, it came out running slower than a snail. Guess what? Team Nissan does not stand behind their used cars. They don't seem to care whether or not the car has any defects on it, they will sell the car regardless and not inform you of those defects. Then after we found out about those defects, Team Nissan won't do anything about it whatsoever. If I give no stars I would. This has been an experience with Nissan I thought if you take it to the dealer they would be more trust worthy and reliable then your average shop, boy was I wrong. It's a long story but I'll try to sum up what happened. I have a 2009 Nissan Frontier and needed to replace the ECM so I thought take it to Nissan they have the part, nope they discontinued the part, had to order out of state and wait a week mine you this was during Christmas and New Year's so the wait was even longer. So we end up getting the part, they installed it but the truck still runs poorly, so I ask " what is wrong with it " it needs to be looked at for an additional $380 mind you I'm paying $1200 for parts and labor, so I make the decision to check it out myself. Drove this thing home shaking doing 40 mpr Got it home had the parts ready to install the new intake gasket, spark plugs and caps. As I did my visual inspection I saw nothing wrong till I pop off the intake manifold and noticed on one of my fuel injectors was unplugged and tucked nicely under the plug so I wouldn't notice anything. There was also a heater hose bracket busted as well. Sadly this is what we have to deal with untrustworthy repair shops that just want to rip you off any chance they get, if I would of said YES all the would have done was plugged it back in and charged me $380. Unbelievable. My truck is still broken and will have to be repaired myself because of the lack of professionalism these shops have. I will never do business with then ever.
