What an unreal experience! Started off strong, with excellent communication morning of. Our guide Alisha picked us up from Old Vegas and pointed out landmarks and shared fun facts the whole way to Nelson for the tour. All day long she was so knowledgeable and answered every question we had, but also so funny while still being professional! My whole group thought that the value of this tour was exceptional. We walked the grounds, took pictures of the Werly family's decades-long collection of toys and decor, watched an action movie clip filmed on the property, then hit the trails. We're a group of experienced dirt bike/quad riders, but Alisha made sure to put some of the guys in their place and let us know that the ATV ride rules are rules, not suggestions. The views were incredible, we ate a delicious lunch by the Colorado river, then headed back for the gold mine tour. Being from the east coast, this part of US history isn't something we're familiar with, and we learned so much! Even though we had a large group, Alisha made a point to have a one-on-one conversation with every single one of us, which made it very special and personal. She was also an incredible photographer! I think we really got the bang for our buck, and i will definitely be recommending this tour - and Alisha by name - to everyone I know who's planning a Vegas trip in the future. read more

Owners and our guide were friendly and the ride was a full hour +! My 16 yo went into a bush and our guide didn't make him feel bad for holding up the line, told him it was ok and got it out quickly. An Unforgettable Birthday Surprise -- Above and Beyond! I originally reached out to Awesome Adventures with a lot of hesitation. I was looking for a surprise birthday adventure for my husband, but I was apprehensive -- he's very tall, and I have a physical disability. Honestly, I didn't expect it to work out. But when I contacted them, Ayde responded quickly and warmly. I explained everything, asked a ton of questions, and without hesitation, she said, "We got you! We can make this happen!" That confidence and kindness convinced me to go ahead and book the Old West Adventure ATV and Gold Mine Tour for July 12th. The morning of the tour, we drove ourselves to the location (we're locals) and were greeted right away. I had also asked Ayde to add on the breakfast option for us -- it was absolutely amazing and more than enough food for both of us. While we ate, our guide Alisha got everything ready. We expected to be in a group, but to our surprise, it ended up being just us, which made the experience even more personal and special. Before we set off, Alisha took the time to carefully explain how to operate the ATV and walked us through what to expect. She was incredibly reassuring, telling us not to worry about keeping up with any pace -- "I only go as fast as you go," she said with a smile. That instantly put us at ease. I had the good fortune to come for a second time and have Alisha do the tour this time around. I was a little skeptical since Sherman had done our first tour back in December 2022, but let me tell you she was perfect and how she handled our tour, and giving us views that I didn't get to see last time! I highly recommend this secret little gem that's on the outskirts of Las Vegas to try and go have an adventure! First, you get to take a tour of their city full of stuff to take pictures then you do the ATV tour and lastly, is the gold mine tour to wrap it up. Yes! You get to see some gold in the cave! Sherman and Alisha were ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! It was a day full of movement and adventure. We rode the ATVs, went through the amazing town of El Dorado and toured the mine. Honestly, it was like three adventures packed into one cool day. Both Sherman and Alisha are a wealth of information and there was never a dull moment. Plus, the lunch was tasty and perfectly timed. I cannot say enough about the experience and would give it 20 stars if it was available. Finally, the town is privately owned and the public is so flipping lucky to experience it so don't be a disrespectful troll and abide by the rules that are plainly written on a few huge signs. We decided to self drive - and the early morning drive was nice and quick from Las Vegas! The whole experience was great! Chris was tentative and informative!! Very helpful and the two seater we were in was as comfy as it could be!! The landscape is absolutely beautiful and the little mining family that allows them to use their land is really nice!! The landscape is littered with wonderful opportunities for photo shoot's galore!! They provide cold water as well as lunch after the ride!!! The good - the adventure was a lot of fun though we had slow people in our group which made the entire tour quite slow. Alisha and Sherman had great personalities and made the experience fun. The bad/scary - Alisha was a very scary and extremely aggressive driver for our van transportation from the hotel to Eldorado Canyon. I've never seen anyone swerve the way she did for each lane change. There were several instances where Alisha jammed on the brake at the last second due to not paying attention and/or being on her phone. At one point she was on her phone while driving and if it weren't for me yelling at her to stop we would have rear ended a car...a bit ironic that Alisha was on her phone while driving 8+ people but she told us in the safety briefing she would kick anyone out that was on their phone while driving the RZR's. All in all a fun trip, but I'd recommend driving to Eldorado Canyon and passing on their transportation. read more

We had an amazing time! I live in Henderson, NV and had family in town for the weekend. We did the full day ATV ride in Eldorado Canyon along with the tour of the Techatticup Mine. Our guide, Alisha, was truly the star of the show. She was full of knowledge and enjoyed sharing that with our group. She shows a passion for the job that comes across in everything we did. The tour of the outer property around the mine provided many photo ops, including those for the Scavenger hunt. We rode the ATVs until our fingers and butts were numb then took time out to enjoy a sub sandwich lunch and a soda to wash the dust from our throats. The mine tour was fun; it followed our ATV ride. Who doesn't like going deep into the ground to learn about how gold, silver and precious metals were pulled from the earth? I would recommend this to travelers with an adventurous spirit and locals who want to do something off the beaten track. read more

Great tour and boring tour all at the same time. There's no question that Sherman and Alisha are great. That's the great part of the tour. The mine tour at the end, also great, very informative and fun. If you're looking to have an adventurous ATV experience, that's where this tour fails miserably, in my opinion. We had a group of ATV riders and a group of RZR drivers, all following each other on some fairly basic dirt roads. We drove to the end of 5 or 6 dead end roads and turned around and came back. That was it. Nothing adventurous about it at all. Maybe if you've never ridden or driven off-road before, MAYBE it would feel adventurous, but when your guide is riding side-saddle the whole time on their ATV leading the group, how exciting is that? We did have 1 or 2 spots on the trail where we could open up our RZRs a little bit for about 15 seconds, but that was the excitement for the day. Like I said, the tour of the mine and talking with Sherman and Alisha to pick their brains on the history of the area was great. It would have been nice to have the option to drive there instead of being picked up also. Overall, would I recommend the tour? If you're more interested in the mine and the history, yes. If you're looking for a fun and exciting ATV/RZR experience, no. read more

We had such a great time at ElDorado Canyon with Awesome Adventures. They were so understanding when we got lost on our way to the office. Sherman was our guide and was extremely informative and a very experienced ATV rider. He also kept an eye on you during the ATV tour to make sure you are okay and safe throughout. I would definitely recommend them for any future tours. Sherman really made my sister's birthday very special. Truly great customer service thank you. My favorite part would be riding to the different nooks and crannies in the canyon and taking photos. I recommend that you wear pants or leggings and long sleeves since dust will stick to your body and it'll be easier to dust off if it's on top of clothing. Also if you wear contacts make sure to bring eye drops or saline because the dust can blur your vision. read more

We were looking for an ATV excursion to do on our trip to Las Vegas. We picked this trip by Awesome Adventures and could not have been happier. Alisha picked us up near our hotel and was our guide throughout the day. First we stopped at the Werley's little store for a break before we headed down the road to get to ATVing. Alisha gave us head/face coverings, helmets, googles and gloves. Next we were given our Razor UTV and given the use and safety instructions. Off we went on our ride through the trails. One stop to stretch our legs and see some caverns and then finished the second half of our ride. In total our ride was 60-90 minutes. Lunch of tasty subs, chips, a cookie and a water were provided before our goldmine tour. Alisha guided us through the mine and explained the history and facts throughout the tour. Alisha had a bubbly and outgoing personality from the moment she picked us up. Very friendly and knowledgeable, she made the trip a blast pickup to drop off. The trip itself was great but Alisha made it that much better. 10/10 recommend. When comparing prices of similar trips, they were close to the same and seemed pricey to me. This trip ended up being 8 hours long for us and definitely worth the money, it also included pictures and video from throughout our excursion. My only negative, was that we wished we were able to spend more time in the little store and possible purchase a few things. I assumed we would have time before we left but we did not. If you're interested in shopping, go when you first get there or at lunch. read more

The ride to the canyon is a great way to see the other world of Las Vegas. The ghost town is like being dropped into an episode of American Pickers. The best part of the tour is the exciting ATV trails. Your adrenaline will be on overdrive in a 2 person Razor. We loved it! There is a fascinating walk through a goldmine...great view of the Colarado River flowing through the El Dorado branch of the Grand Canyon. You'll be amazed by the animals, nature and pioneer structures. Worth every penny. Sherman is a great guide... and Niki was a great resource for reservations. It is a full day tour w/lunch provided, I originally signed up for the ATV/ Side by side fun, and it just happened to include the gold mine tour. The gold mine tour was AMAZING, I learned a lot, and I'm not even all that into mines, but if you are, you'd really love this. I would definitely do it again! You do get dusty during the recreational vehicles portion, however, they do blow the dust of you using an air compressor, you can also wash off with soap and water. I highly recommend this if you're looking to get out of the strip for a day. read more

I shopped around looking for ATV tour that would pick me up from my hotel. I came across Awesome Adventures that was offering a mine tour with the ATV.....booked it! My tour guide Sherman picked me up from Bally's on time and asked me if I wanted to stop at Starbucks. I have done atv tours in Alaska, Cabo, Caribbean's, Pismo beach.....This was absolutely my favorite. The area around the mine is trailed up perfect for intense, fun riding, Colorado river views, and mining history stops. The mine tour at the end was amazing! This a must do in Vegas. Had a real blast with their tour. We got information about the northern of Las Vegas and Valley of Fire. We rode ATVs for 2 hours and because we had a quad I got to take pictures because I was like drive a kart off-roading. We were able to stop at a spot to get a quick place to have snacks and off we go to the place where they have to cool track for ATVs. We then went off the northern part of Las Vegas in a private lot of Desert Adventure. I would recommend this place to anyone I know. read more

We wanted to rent Atvs so we used Awesome Adventures. They are a booking agent for Law Powersports in Overton/Logandale. Over all it was an amazing adventure. If you want to save a couple bucks you could probably book directly with Law Powersports. Highly recommend renting their GPS, it comes preloaded with a route that will show you the highlights of the area.
