And I'm certainly not one to say no to shopping... and Kimi knows me pretty well - so in we went. In this adorable little shop you'll find a bit of everything: From chic baby toys and gear, to Women's athletica, adorable spice recipe kits, dog treats, jewelry, natural deodorant, candles and so much more that I'm forgetting. The store is immaculately designed. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you're in a higher end boutique - but it's also not stuffy at all like some places. It's just highly curated with interesting unique products, and could be the absolute best place for stocking stuffers, small gifts, making a gift basket and also obviously splurging on yourself. I ended up getting some natural dog treats for the pup, and I almost splurged on some fancy balsamic vinegar. This splurge was for the pup, the next time I come in the splurge will be for me lol. Definitely worth stopping in. If you're someone who LOVES getting little treats and surprises for your friends and family this could be the perfect spot. The mix is eclectic and Kimi pointed out that they even sell this soap that was gifted to us for Latinx heritage month as it's a Latin owned soap company. I feel like it's the apothecary David would open if he was a woman.

Everything they feature is ethically-sourced and sustainably obtained. AND OH so cute. I could spend forever smelling all the candles, delighting over the handmade jewelry, perusing their cookbooks, picnic blankets, baby rain boots and so much more. This is the perfect place to grab a special gift for a friend and reminds me of those cute, indie boutiques that are on every corner in LA. I hope this shop stays around for a long time.

I was invited by a friend to attend a perfume-making class at LYC, and it was a great experience…read more The class was taught by a mother-and-daughter team, which made it feel very personal and welcoming. The space itself is beautiful, calm & cozy. Mom/Daughter did a wonderful job explaining the entire process, from selecting scents to blending, pouring, and creating a custom perfume. It was easy to follow and a lot of fun. I love the fragrance I created, and I've received several compliments on it already! LYC offers much more than just perfume-making classes (candles, etc).

The mother-and-daughter duo who run the classes are incredibly kind, welcoming, and so knowledgeable at what they do. They explained every step clearly, guided us throughout the process, and made the entire experience so much fun. The selection of candle vessels was amazing -- everything from vintage-inspired pieces to fun, unique styles and everything in between. Then came the scents... and wow. Thank goodness I made three candles because choosing just one was impossible. There were SO many incredible fragrances to pick from. We already booked another class for next month and plan to return every season since they change up the vessels and scents regularly. Such a magical experience from start to finish.

They had different ones with names like Whoopie Cream, Sweet Tea or Pink Moon to name a few. There are testers available so you can take a whiff - some of them smell really, really good. They also have bath soaps that are locally made and shea butter soaps as well (lavender, jasmine and clementine to name a few) - with smells like those, everyone might want to get one. I found myself looking at a lot of items in the store as I wished I could have bought everything. In the back they had sleepwear with cute sayings - they looked like mini-bags, but once opened it is sleepwear. There is even a section selling items for toddlers or babies (can't remember). Employees were very helpful. Definitely want to come back to this spot.

Before I begin this review...I just want to say I AM *NOT* PREGNANT!…read more But like most women of any age, adorably cute baby crap makes us all mushy and coo. Molly's Meanderings is no different. The majority of the store has nice high end, moderately boho chic clothing...but in the back right hand corner, is a baby corner where my mother in law and I spend nearly an hour cooing over every little thing. Yeah. We're ridiculous. OK, so we weren't going to buy (although my MIL did give me some pointed remarks about procreation), but we were there for so long and cooed so loudly that I was rather surprised that no sales staff came by to check up on us. I mean, really, we sounded like a pack of gestating elephants. We were REALLY loud. And touched everything (and personally, I thought everything was priced a little higher then expected...and by "a little higher" I'm being generous). Anyhoo...the store is cute, packed with stuff, but it's clear that the staff is deaf and blind. Eh.
