Thank you Venus Gifts stuf for everything For your special wrapping For your special service

I came into the store to exchange an item for another gift because it did not fit my style. Initially, I was being helped by one associate, but they stepped away. Another employee noticed that we needed assistance and stepped in, which I appreciated. When it came time to complete the exchange and payment, Liana began explaining the process. As customers, we asked additional questions to better understand the store's policy. At that point, Liana became visibly frustrated, gave us an attitude, rolled her eyes, and stepped away. She then made comments to another customer in a way that made it obvious she was referring to us, assuming we would not understand or speak up. I want to be clear: treating any customer this way is unacceptable, especially an elderly customer. If an employee does not have the patience to explain policies or answer questions respectfully--without making customers feel uncomfortable or disrespected--then customer service may not be the right position for them. I understand that everyone can have a bad day, but working in customer service requires patience, professionalism, and respect at all times. Answering questions and repeating explanations is part of the job. I hope management reviews this situation and addresses it appropriately with the employee involved. No customer should feel disrespected or talked about while standing at the counter. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Customer of over a decade turned into your BIGGEST hater. My aunt recently came into your store to exchange merchandise that you sold to me a month ago. The product was purchased in store, gift wrapped by you, and handed to me early November. Good thing I even have a picture of it in the store, on your counter, the day of purchase, with texts messages confirming it. When she came in to exchange it for a different product, NOT ONLY did you insist that the product WASNT brand new, that she was trying to return a USED item, but then you proceeded to humiliate her in the middle of the store claiming the item that you sold to me had water marks and scratches. How DAREEEEE you absolutely lower yourself to such a level. IGNORING THE FACT, THAT THERE WAS NO REASON FOR YOU TO HARRASS HER WHEN THE ITEM WAS BRAND NEW, Its disgraceful that as a culture, we dont have the basic decency to even pull someone aside and talk to them instead of publicly humiliating them when we suspect something. First of all, have BETTER QUALITY CONTROL. Best believe if we had any intention of using the item and seen said "water marks" and "scratches" i would've ALSO brought it back same day. Second of all, its absolutely insane how your staff thinks is appropriate to speak to people in the middle of their store. LET ALONE, a returning customer whos given you YEARSSSSSSS of business. I rather drive an hour away and give my money to the million other stores carrying the same merchandise than ever step foot into your store again. This is will be the last time any of us ever step foot in there and best believe I'll be telling this story to everyone I hear who shops from you. You've tainted the name of your business, all for what? Cause your staff doesn't have the competency to check what they're selling, then they have to lower themselves to ridicule paying customers? And in case you're curious, heres the "used" product pictured on you counter with the date stamped.

I went here for the first time today and had a terrible experience. I will give myself the benefit of the doubt that I was returning a gift that exceeded their return policy date however, they didn't even care enough to understand my situation. The item was packaged incorrectly, which was obviously done on their part so What was inside the box was not even the correct item and didn't match the product but of course they blamed the return policy without considering the fact that the product they sold wasn't even the correct item. I think what I would have wanted was some consideration and care instead of fully concluding that I'm at fault... especially given that a client who enters the door for the first time is highly possible, this experience was my first impression. It also makes me realize how unorganized they may be. If you've purchased from here, have you ever wondered if the person you gifted it to actually received the correct item? How does one mess this up?

I have been coming to Venus for over 30 years. My mom brought me here in a stroller and now my son joins me shopping at Venus Gifts! I will never change them for any reason because the dedicated employees, professionalism, and items they have are incomparable. Highly highly recommended! Thank me later.

I highly recommend Venus Gifts! They have a great selection, excellent service, and they wrap gifts beautifully, making every present feel extra special.

GREAT PLACE TO BUY A RICE COOKER =============================== If you want to make your own basmati rice with a crispy tadiq crust go here to buy one. This is the confusing part so pay attention. Venus gifts has two separate stores right next to each other. The one on the corner of Lomita and Glendale Avenue is for fancy gifts. Walk to the next door on the south side. There is big red awning and I included a photo. This shop has all the cooking supplies. They sell tea pots, tea cups, pots, pans, cutlery and meat grinders as well. We have purchased two meat grinders here as my husband makes his own lamb kabobs. We dropped it off for a friend who was looking for the right one to make the best rice.

The staff was friendly and even asked customers on what they were looking for. [Gift wrapping service]: The service is only available at brick & mortar locations. Materials are purchased separately and holiday rush fees may be applied. The shop offers complimentary gift wrap on all in-store purchases (customer's choice of kraft box or kraft wrap with twine). [Parking]: There are plenty of metered parking spots and paid public parking lots, but parking can be hard to come by during busy shopping seasons. [Selection]: The shop offers greeting cards, pens, notebooks, pen, pencils, gift wraps, etc. I like the greeting card selection a lot better at Shorthand, but I didn't see too many Valentine's Day cards. The shop was a lot more colorful than Crush & Touch as Shorthand organized pens and pencils by color. They also sell really neat hand drawn Highland Park and Eagle Rock maps. The shop also sells various colors of ribbon per yard and gift wrap. Each color of ribbon has a slightly different price. I actually got a red tight weave ribbon for $1.75 per yard and the staff even gave me a slightly extra length. [Gift Wrap Service]: Customers can purchase gifts in store or bring them in from elsewhere. In general, regular (one sheet) = $8, large (two sheets) = $14, and extra large (three sheets+) = $20+. [Conclusion]: A really cute stationery shop with all the supplies for gift wrapping.

Erin was incredibly easy to work with and super accommodating. The shop has a great open space in the back, which was perfect for the party. Erin assembled a beautiful selection of succulents, colored sand, shells, moss, and other unique accents, and led the girls through a fun and easy-to-follow tutorial on how to build their own terrariums. The vibe was very cool and creative. The girls had the best time making their gorgeous little creations, while the parents enjoyed browsing the shop's thoughtfully curated selection of goods. Erin and Sien were both wonderfully engaging and added so much to the experience. After the workshop, the girls walked over to Ice Cream Luv just a few doors down to wrap up the celebration with a sweet treat. It was the perfect afternoon at a perfect location for a memorable birthday party.
