This is an aging "spa" with clumpy and old polish, worn chairs, and piles of towels in the corner. I wouldn't mind if they had lower prices, but the services cost the same as way nicer places, like Lavish in Dunwoody. I paid for a fill and upgraded pedicure with gel. The tech didn't do the style of polish I asked for and charged extra like it was custom ombre when she did nothing special whatsoever. My nails looked ok, though, and the tips lasted til my next fill. If I always wore acrylics I'd probably have given a better review because I'd never know how badly they damaged my nails. It's a good thing they looked good because my natural nails were destroyed after. There are deep ridges down my nail bed that are almost finally grown out but there has been a lot of damage. None of my other fills did this much damage. The upgraded pedicure with massage would've been lovely, but I found it borderline creepy how the tech kept asking me "does it feel good." Don't judge me! I hadn't been to a nail shop since this pandemic started. I was happy to walkin and find an appointment was necessary today. They had availability to see me. Everyone wore masks and gloves. Clients were seated with an empty chair in between us. There were also plastic dividers between each chair. They had nice holiday decorations on the dividers. Nice selection of nail polish and SNS powders. The staff was friendly and there was tv to watch. The massage chairs were empty and didn't stop before the service ended. I've been to several nail salons on Roswell Rd. but none of them compare to Venus. I go here every 2-4 weeks and get the mani/pedi combo which is only $28. I usually walk-in, without an appointment and the longest I've had to wait was maybe 15 minutes (but that was also in the middle of the day on Saturday). They have your standard nail salon amenities, chairs are comfy, and a generous selection of nail polish colors (mostly O.P.I.) Everyone is exceptionally good! My pedicure has lasted a solid month with no chipping, and my fingernail paint usually lasts about 2-4 weeks depending on how much abuse I put on them at the gym. You also get a mini massage on your feet, calves, hands, and forearms. Tiffany is my go-to manicure person tho, especially on days when I'm in a hurry. She can whip out a manicure very quickly and do an amazing job. Always smooth and seamless! She's very personable and will engage in conversation too. Don't forget to tip. Horrible! Their quality is awful! The pictures are of a manicure & pedicure I received just a couple of hours ago for their special pricing of $30...which was $30 too much. My cuticles on both hands and feet look like some animal gnawed on them and the polish is just caked on my toes and not done neatly at all. Nail Design up the street had a 1.5 hr walk-in wait on a late Friday afternoon and I didn't want to wait so I checked Yelp and found this shop .4 miles away...and next to a Starbucks. Relaxing environment and less noisy than Nail Design. I heard a Venus employee telling a patron (who had not visited for sometime) that he shop had added employees and new equipment. I've come here numerous times for pedis and eyebrow waxing. They're super close to home and always do a great job. Today I went in for a fun set (which I haven't gotten in years) and some nail art (first timer!). Jenny was so awesome. I have an event tonight for Good Mews annual auction and asked her for some kitty art and the Good Mews logo. She did a great job with my mani and the acrylics and the gel polish and everything. And an awesome job with the art. I was worried that the logo may be troublesome and she did have some trouble with it but never gave up. She and her daughter both worked on it some and finally made it look great. This being my first experience having nail art done, I can say now it's something I'll likely do again. I highly recommend not getting your nails done here if you actually want a quality job. I went in this morning to get SNS and 2 hours later 2 of my nails already came off. I went back to Venus Nails to get them redone and came back home and another one came off. The first time they came off, it was from me grabbing a pen. The second time, it was from typing. I've never experienced SNS just falling off like this. It's ridiculous and no one has time to keep going back to the salon to get them fixed after hours of getting them done. The only reason why I'm even giving a one star rating is because at least the other 7 stayed on (for the time being). read more

They crawl out of the pedicure chairs while I am trying to relax and onto me. No one that works there seems to notice me squirm and become uncomfortable for the entire pedicure. My mom and I decided to try a new place for a mani/pedi this afternoon. We are sooooo glad we did!! We had a very relaxing foot massage with hot stones - have never been to a nail salon that used hot stones - a really good idea. This place was nice and clean and played great "lounge music" - very soothing while having your feet worked on. The folks here were extremely nice and friendly. My mom and I will definitely be making this our go-to place. By the way, they also do facials, massages, and the typical nail salon services. Please don't waste your money or time at this place. The place is family owned and has been newly taken over. They are not professional at all. I called in on Sunday morning to see if they were available to take me and three of my friends. They told me they were available and that they could take all of us. We were the first customers in and should have been the first customers out. That did not happen. They sat me in a chair for an HOUR with no explanation while they took every new customer that came in. I wasn't even offered the decency of an explanation, which is what bothers me the most. My friend that got SNS done, went home and has had 4 nails randomly pop off and they have yet to offer her a refund. PLEASE TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. read more

Decided to try a new place for my mani/pedi yesterday and overall it was a good experience. The women that worked on my hands was very nice and asked me if the shaping was right before continuing which most manicurists don't do. The hand massage was also a big plus! My pedicure was okay. The guy who worked on my feet didn't have a pleasant attitude. It's an extra $5 if you want the to scrub your feet, which I didn't really care about, but I don't remember seeing a price list advertised anywhere. Also the polish was a little streaky. Compared to other places I've been it's a bit pricey. I will probably return for my manicures since that was the service I was impressed with. read more
