Was in a bind looking for a place to get a mani pedi before my photo shoot while I was staying in Smyrna. The first place I looked up was not open on Mondays which is a common thing for those of us who frequent the nail and hair salon. Was grateful to find this place open on a Monday and willing to take walk-ins. Yay The shop is located in the small strip mall that does seem to be having a little bit of construction outside so be careful as you navigate through the entrance. I had no wait as a walk-in and asked for an sns manicure and a regular pedicure. They're basic pedicure goes for 30 bucks and includes a very thorough, callous removal. I've never had my feet so smooth and I go to the nail shop on the regular. All of their pedicure chairs are also massage chairs so make sure to take advantage of that as soon as you sit down. Great nail color selection and they were able to easily match my toenail polish to one of the dip colors. Dip ran around $45 if I remember correct. It was very quick and efficient, done while I was still in the pedicure chair and extremely neat. No excess polish stuck in my cuticles or on my fingers. The staff here are super considerate and removed a tip at no charge for a woman who came in randomly as I was sitting under the UV light drying my toes. I would definitely come back again and I'm honestly surprised the rating for this place is not higher. read more

I was in dire need of a pedicure so since I had some extra time to spare, I came here to get it done. I got the deluxe pedicure which includes a soak, nail care, massage and callus removal for $40. They were very nice and welcoming. Attentive and careful. It's been a long time since I've gotten a French so I decided to add that on for an extra $5. That foot massage was a life saver though. My experience was very disappointing because of the atmosphere in the salon. Several staff members, including who I believe was the manager, were watching a soccer game and yelling unbelievably loudly throughout my appointment. None of the customers were watching the game, yet the staff reacted to it as if they were at a sports bar. The constant yelling and loud outbursts became so distracting that they gave me a headache. I even put on my headphones to try to block out the noise, but then realized I shouldn't have to do that just to enjoy a manicure and pedicure. A salon should provide a calm, relaxing environment where customers can enjoy their services. These people were rude and disrespectful. This wasn't an isolated incident. On previous visits, I've also experienced staff members laughing and carrying on very loud conversations with one another during my appointments. While it's nice to see employees enjoying their work, the focus should remain on creating a pleasant, peaceful experience for customers. The one bright spot was the woman who performed my pedicure. She was kind, professional, and did an excellent job. I truly appreciated her service. I hope management will recognize that the customer experience should always come first. read more

Horrible service!! The former owner Tee passed away (RIP) and the salon was purchased by new owners. The service is horrible!! I have tried them several times over the years since the business ownership has changed, hoping for a better experience, and have been disappointed each time! The people that work there are rude and they make you feel as if you are bothering them. They do not greet you when you walk in, no hello or welcome, just "what do you want", then once you are seated, the tech that doing your service just walks up and starts working, no greeting. Then they are so rough with your extremity and then the service looks half done. I have had to ask them several times to redo something or provide something that was listed as included!!! I won't be patronizing this establishment ever again. What was once a great place has not become a disaster and nightmare!!! About 3 years ago I started going to this nail salon even gave a great review at first sent several people there as well. When the owner is talented at doing nails but a horrible owner. Every person I sent had a problem because of how rude she in particular is. They all left and went with me to a better customer service establishment. If a client received bad service with errors she asked the client what's wrong with it. She herself does not give bad quality service just poor service and pettiness. I called today to see if she had learned to be a better owner. They made an appointment for 5 pm and called me again to see if I could come right way. I told them I could make it in 30 minutes. I said hello and mentioned I had an appointment with Wen. I sat at her station she asked me if she ever did my nails I told her yes years ago after she had her baby. She did my nails perfectly and I thanked her and paid the gentleman. As I am going towards my car, Wen sends the Man to tell me, " Wen is uncomfortable with doing your nails can you not come back". I said, " that's fine, I won't ever " and left. Ten minutes later I get a call from Wen, I asked her what was she calling for she told the me not to come back. She proceeds to claim she called in error. She is obviously stupid and not about her money because on a Saturday of Memorial Day weekend a nail salon should be full hers was not because most people don't come back to Paradise nails. This place is normally really good and I typically come here a lot ! today was absolutely horrible. they have 0 customer service . the owners do not know how to properly manage the associates. I called before coming to let them know I wanted a gel build up and a pedicure . they said it was okay for me to walk in. my gel build up went fine. it was the pedicure part was horrible . the associate just walked up to me , no greeting just "what color do you want." then when I finished my nails I went and sat in the pedicure chair and she immediately started on my feet. she didn't ask how I wanted them shape , filed or qsk what service I wanted. I noticed she kept looking at the time . finally she asked me what service I wanted . I told her collagen pedicure. Her response, " I don't have time for that . My next apt comes in 20 min." I have been going to this place for years. Never have o ever felt so embarrassed and humiliated in my life. The staff who is sully pleasant gave HORRIBLE customer service. The First Lady sat me down and started shaving the gel polish off, she then got up and walked away stating someone else would be with me. The next lady which I believe is the manager came and told me I couldn't get a fill but and new set was needed. I agreed. she put my nails to soak and walked away. Another gentlemen came and he started to take the acrylic off and then looked at my nails said something in his language and the other staff emmers looked in my direction and then he laughed RUDE! He soaked my nails on and off for an hour. Each time he came to take some of the acrylic off he looked disgusted and annoyed! I left with acrylic still on my nails and in tears because I couldn't wipe my eyes because there was acetone all over my hands! The level of customer service received is NOT acceptable. One nail tech was nice and offered to do my nails but I was too sad at that point. The person who did my nails originally was new and made them super thick! Other then that my nails are clean. Paradise has been my nail spot for over a year, but ever since Aly left.. it has gone downhill. The customer service from the employees is ridiculous. I came in one day and one of the ladies tried to pick an argument with me.. I was literally the only customer in there. This place was the closest to me and they couldn't get simple designs right so I stopped going and traveled further to get my nails done. I just went recently just to get a soak off. I want to start off with saying the techs and vibe were very very nice. I just had a horrible service that wasn't what I asked for and compromised the safety of my nails. I had acrylics from a different salon and asked to have them removed and a regular polish manicure done afterwards. I was kinda shocked when the nail tech cut my acrylics, put an uncut acrylic between the remaining acrylic nail and my natural nail, and wedged them to pry off the acrylic. Everything I had seen and researched with taking off acrylics involved soaking them off or grinding them off, so this really surprised me, and not to mention, it did hurt and almost ripped my natural nail twice. Then, while doing my cuticles, I got nicked pretty bad twice. I'm no stranger to nicks, I usually don't fuss about them because to me, it's not a big issue. The tech even cleaned up some of the blood and put a product over the top of it to help stop the bleeding. However, I mention this because later that night, both nicks got infected and I am currently having to constantly drain said wounds. Finally, during the manicure, the tech asked what polish I would like. I asked for a pink or white glitter. She repeated back to me that I wanted a glitter and then later (not long after), put a semi-translucent pink with a clear top coat. No glitter. I didn't want to make a fuss, and it was late and I had glitter at home - it's just disappointing that I didn't get what I asked for at all and got injured in the process. Look, the pictures look great on other reviews. The other clients who were getting acrylics while I was there in the salon also were getting beautiful nails. I'm just not sure if it's because I had a non-acrylic nail job that it wasn't comparable to the other reviews and pictures I saw. I just wanted to share my experience because while again, I don't like giving bad reviews and everyone was nice, I 1) didn't get the end product I asked for and 2) had some pain during a process that shouldn't cause me as much pain as it has. read more

Did SNS and it looked horrible, I kindly asked the nail tech to file them and make them thinner because they looked so wide and thick. Horrible. Loved this place. We are searching for a new place a believe we have finally found it. Sadly a place up by Target stole our money and after 10 years had to stop going there. So we have been to 3-4 places since then and been very unimpressed. We saw the number of stars on this place and decided to try it. This group was great. There was a short wait but it's also a smaller shop so it was understandable. We went in a got a few minutes to soak our feet first which was nice. Each of the techs there was very respectful and conscientious of their work. We got a great massage, too. In the middle of the pedicure my mother turned to me and said "so far I can understand the number of stars here" and then they painted our nails. Absolutely perfect!!!I love just looking at them. The only person here that can really do designs or proper shape is Justin and even he has an attitude sometimes until he warms up to you. No one here can do a proper pedicure start to finish. They talk SO MUCH. I expect a little side convo but if they're doing your nails and toes at the same time, they will chat constantly. That's not a relaxing experience at all. We do expect some interchange but y'all are literally together all day. Have a full debrief later. I don't recommend unless you need them in an emergency situation. read more

After 2 years of having my business they have officially lost it! I have even given this place a second chance due to the convenience of their location. The initial review I left was reflecting the horrible nail fill :: $300 spent on nails that looked like I could have done myself!! $93 nails that polish is messed up after a day! They advertise flawless work on IG but expect less than great service and results!! Their Instagram host stolen pictures from other people's work -do not let them fool you-there is only one lady who has the ability to do designs! After leaving my initial review about four months ago they blocked me on Instagram. ((Keep in mind I was a returning customer for over two years they absolutely knew who I was on Instagram and absolutely blocked me because of my initial review!)) This morning I sat down for my scheduled pedicure which I made an appointment for a previous day. Arrived 10 minutes early & was sat in the spa chair for over 30 minutes waiting- yes just sitting. I don't even think it matters that I should mention that she filled up the pedicure tub with cold water- after not receiving a service provider for 32 minutes I got up and left! The lady who sat me has a terrible attitude, is confrontational and has been confrontational with me before regarding designs. I am not a quiet or under spoken person so because I stood my ground I left and took my business elsewhere for about four months. Due to the sheer convenience of their location I decided to patronize them and have regretted doing so every session! Their absolutely overpriced services are not comparable to other salons in the area. You will be charge $20 minimum extra for gel ontop of a $40 pedicure minimum. They do not discuss up charges with you so, I suggest if you do patronize you ask upfront before receiving services!! Their work does not reflect the prices you pay! Finally, I think it is important to mention that the coworkers continue to be recycled and have been recycled the entire time of me being a customer. Every time they get a good employee it does not last for a long period of employment. I'm sure that that reflects upon the conditions in which they work! The best pedicure technician and best nail technician both quit within a week of each other, that should tell you everything you need to know!! I will be following up with copying and pasting this to every social media outlet I possibly can- they absolutely don't care if you are a long term customer. In 26 months I've collectivity gotten my nails done monthly at $200-300 each time. My nails have never once COME CLOSE to looking like it should or looked ever as they should even cost that. When I first looked up Paradise Nails on yelp, I thought there's no way a nail salon has 5 stars...legitimately. But after about 5 visits, I can actually attest to the quality of work and customer service at Paradise Nails. They do an excellent job at Paradise every single time I come in. I've had my hands and feet done on multiple occasions. I usually get a regular spa pedicure mailed then a gel manicure. Mya is my go to nail technician and she is super sweet, pleasant, and professional. She always does a great job and I leave with fabulous nails that shaped and painted to perfection. Tee is also a favorite of mine. From the time you enter the door and he learns your name he makes you feel welcome and important...as if you've been coming to Paradise for years. The staff is great about offering you a water and making sure that you're comfortable from the moment you hit the door. On top of all of this, Paradise is reasonably priced, dare I say more on the cost effective side of nail salon. They are located in the plaza at the corner of Mack Dobbs and Cobb Pkwy. I was not impressed and that may be because I just went to an exquisite salon in Charlotte, NC just a few weeks ago. I went in on a Sunday for a basic gel polish and they seemed to be short staffed, so the wait took atleast 20 mins. However, I sat in the chair waiting for a technician to attend to me for another 10 mins. I wasn't in a rush though, so I didn't mind too much. A technician then brought a semi-dirty small bowl to the table and filled it with acetone and asked me to dip both my hands in it. Not the most sanitary and they did not use foil or any wrap for my nails. I had 3 week old gel nails that I had to remove, btw. A new technician came and worked on my nails for the rest of the time. It was a lot of scraping, using tools and soaking to just get my old gel nails off. Once they started to apply the new polish, it was fairly quick. In the end my nails looked fine and the technician that had done them did an okay job. I probably will look for another salon though in the future. read more

UPDATE....well I knew it was too good to be true...my daughter and I went in for some routine nail maintenance and pedicure...the lady that did my pedicure was so rough and acted like I was inconveniencing her paying for a pedicure...it was the worst pedicure I've ever experienced. We had to wait an hour and a half on a WEDNESDAY to get our service started. There were walk ins after us that WERE NOT APPOINTMENTS that go seated and serviced before...I overlooked that but the servicing seems to have changed and I drive too far to be half serviced. The nail tech I had in my first review isn't around anymore ....I guess we're back on the hunt. Absolutely love love this nail salon. My daughter and I were on the hunt for a new nail salon that does all the latest and great nail designs as well as has enough staff that were all skilled to cut your wait time. This place was the answer to our search! The pricing is reasonable and my nail technician was the BOMB! Then in addition to my nails, I got a great lash and brow job done that was just as good. I was all around satisfied with this salon and it's truly worth the drive for the service.
