I would give Dr. CECILIO 1 million stars if I could. I brought my daughter in today as a same day, new patient, urgent appointment for a ruptured eardrum, and we were very nervous because she was in so much pain and felt so terrible. I need anybody who reads this to know from the second we walked into the office, it felt like family. Everybody was so nice and so welcoming. When the Dr. walked into the room, she was so warm, kind, caring, and my daughter and I loved her immediately. Dr. CECILIO was so patient and thorough with my daughter and eased our minds and made us feel so welcome and cared about. I feel that it is very rare nowadays to go to a doctor's office and get the type of love that we felt. The doctor explained everything so well and spent quality time with us, and made my daughter feel so much better. I truly recommend this Dr. to everybody. I have met many doctors in my life and she truly has one of the best bedside manners I have ever experienced. She even gave my daughter a hug, which meant so much to her, she was feeling so anxious before the visit. Dr. Cecilio took the time to review my case and save my hearing without ever charging me or having me come into the office. I am an MD and this is the mark of a physician who practices true patient advocacy. I am not a listed patient of the clinic and called the office because I was trying to get an emergency appointment because I had sudden loss of hearing in my right ear. Even though I am not a paying patient, my message was passed on to Dr. Cecilio who had the staff immediately call me to send me to the right clinic that handles emergency hearing loss. That clinic scheduled me for visit within 1 hour and they discovered that the hearing my right ear is very seriously diminished with a combination of both conductive and middle ear pathology. I am an MD and know how busy the practice must be. I incredibly grateful to Dr. Cecilio for taking the time to review the case details I left her in a message and direct me immediately to the care that I needed. She was payed nothing for this action and shows herself to be a true advocate. As an MD who does not even know her, I look at the reviews and disagree with them. She has to charge for her visits and it is a brave MD who tells people that they don't need surgery right away if other medications can be tried first. Also, not all surgeries are successful with any doctor, especially ones who will be brave enough to take on harder cases. The way you treat a patient that is not even payable is the true mark of her professionalism and ability to identify clinical urgency, which is the true showing of her character. I was looking for an ENT doctor. I called your office in Encino. The front office employee who answered the phone answered a couple of my questions with such arrogance and nastiness. She couldn't be bothered with my questions. When she rattled off a couple of dates for available appointments so quickly and with so much dismissive attitude and nasty tone I told her I had to look at my calendar first. Then she hung up on me!! What a stupid bitch! For someone who works in a medical office and deals with patients she is in the wrong field. How many prospective patients have you lost because of her? Why would you have someone like that representing your practice? There must be something wrong with your whole practice if you allow this disgusting and unprofessional behavior. In April of 2022 I woke up not being able to hear out of my left ear. I spent the whole day trying to find an ENT to look at my ear but everyone had a long wait. Finally I landed on Dr. Cecilio who managed to squeeze me in despite me having never been a patient. When I entered her office I immediately felt relaxed because I knew she was going to take care of me. She took my concerns seriously and really listened to me. She ended up diagnosing me with sudden hearing loss and getting me into the Ear House Clinic. Due to her quick thinking I was able to recover all of my hearing. Had I waited for any other doctor I probably would have not got my hearing back. I will forever be grateful for Dr. Cecilio and her wonderful staff. read more

I've had issues with breathing through my nose for as long as I can remember so I finally decided to do something about it and made an appointment. I was seen by Dr. Cecilio and I don't have anything negative to say about her. She was extremely gentle when examining my nose and ears and explained everything beforehand. She confirmed what I already knew and said I have to get surgery on the right side of my nose. I also have a deviated septum on my left side -.- She informed me that she stopped doing surgeries a couple months ago and referred me to another doctor in her group. This causes a bit of an inconvenience for me but it's not a huge deal. All in all, I'm very happy with the care I received and will be back if I have any other issues with my ears, nose, and throat. read more

She's very sweet but I wouldn't recommend her. She performed surgery for my deviated septum a few years ago and my breathing has actually worsened! I finally went for a consultation with another (highly qualified and highly recommended) ENT, who told me I need surgery again. I plan to get a second opinion, but I'm not surprised because I can feel and hear that it's much harder for me to breathe now, and see the cartilage that is blocking both airways. Also getting lots of bloody noses, which I never had before. Also, the surgery is performed in an outpatient center that was a bit dumpy - it was old and felt dirty. I was honestly a bit scared that if something happened, they wouldn't have the resources to respond. Finally, a friend's mom got an eye lift from her and Dr. Cecilio failed to give her enough local anesthesia... she apologized the entire time she was cutting and sewing my friend's mom's eyelid, who was in immense pain! Dr. Cecilio is the BEST. I was having a lot of pain. I called her office and they were able to get me in immediately. The wait in the waiting room could not have been shorter. Once I was in, I got to meet the doctor. She is very pleasant and calm when she heard my issues. She handled my problem immediately. She ran the necessary tests and gave me the medication needed. The best news was that my ear drum was not punctured. I am very grateful for the way she treated me. I would not only go there again but refer anyone and everyone that needs an ENT to and see her. I was impressed with Dr. Cecilio when she treated me and have referred many patients to her over the years. I recently sent my brother to her with confidence but and she missed seeing a large Squamous Cell Carcinoma on his tongue! Luckily he went to another ENT who immediately did a biopsy and sent him to UCLA where he underwent a five-hour surgery and is currently undergoing radiation and chemotherapy. I pray it​ was caught in time, and that the time lost due to Dr. Ceciio's lack of expertise does not lessen his chance to beat cancer. read more

DO NOT GO TO HER!! Don't waist your money and time. She will not give you the care that you need, no matter how big or small your problem is. She will not see you as patient,she only see a dollar sign . The best what she can do is: give you a referral to see another doctor. When I booked my appointment, I explained what my problem was. I took time off from work,arrived early for my appointment. Filled out paperwork,paid a copay. In the exam room she spent less than 5 min referring me to another doctor. 2 weeks later she sent me a huge bill to pay. When I call her office about the bill, her receptionist said that she does not discuss charges. Now I have to pay my hard earned money for the care I did not receive. Don't go to her. read more

Today I went to see Dr. Cecilio at the Encino office for a second opinion. The assistant who brought me into an exam room told me that my wife could not come in as they only allowed two people in the room at a time. Alright, I thought. After going into the treatment room so the Dr. could start the exam, my wife knocked on the treatment room door simply to explain that I may have forgotten to tell the Dr. about one medication I was taking. So, naturally, the Dr. invited my wife into the exam room. After a brief exam, the Dr. asked the assistant to take me into a separate room for a test. The ASSISTANT then tells me that "that was rude and uncalled for" for having my wife join in the exam room (reminding you, the Dr. actually INVITED my wife in). Well, I told this assistant that I thought it was very unprofessional to admonish my wife like that...I'm here to be treated for something very serious and my wife was ASKED to join by the physician to give my medical history! You know what this assistant said? She says "Well, I don't have to listen to you or take your abuse, you can leave right now and not be treated". I am not kidding. I tried to explain all this to Dr. Cecilio who then told me she didn't know what to do. Didn't.Know.What.To.Do. How about telling the assistant to treat patients with respect and not angrily bark at them? Well, needless to say, I walked out. Now I have to find another ENT, whole day and money wasted, all because some nursing assistant wanted to get up in someones ass 'cause she was clearly having a bad day. Doctors are in business for profit. Dr. Cecilio lost out on a LOT of profit and potential profit today due to the attitude of a hired assistant. People, no one needs to be mistreated by health care providers and no one should stand for it. The end. read more

Dr. Vera as I call her is a sweet sweet woman who is loving and cares for her patients. Many doctors will send you in for surgery just because and she's been very conservative with the treatment of my tonsils. She looked at them and said they had to go because they're in bad shape. I've been seeing ENTs my whole life for chronic sinus problems and she's been the best I've seen in my 25 years of dealing with ENTs who I usually find to be cold and uncaring. She's the best. One of my worst experiences with any doctor! They charged me $200 before my service, probably because they knew I wouldn't want to pay anything for she did absolutely nothing!! She couldn't open my clogged ear and sent me off to purchase sudafed and allergy spray! My nose is fine by the way and I've no allergies!! Most annoying was her exam and inability to hold her instruments correctly while shoving it in my nose and ear! She couldn't do this procedure that I've done few times before because she would leave a gap in my nose while pumping air, so the air was coming out instead, and she wasn't holding my other nostril completely closed!! She had me turn my neck towards her (while she is sitting, instead of keeping my head straight for her comfort) before shoving things into my nose, and that was very uncomfortable and scary! read more

Dr.Cecilio is the best ! I have been seeing her for years and she has always helped my condition. My son had his tonsils removed by her. My mother in law goes to her. I was dissatisfied with the the care provided by Dr. Cecilio. I had a very congested ear after a bad infection and she offered no course of therapy. After suffering for several months, I went to another ENT who prescribed a nasal steroid spray, which has helped immensely. read more

I was referred to Dr. Cecilio today for a sinus infection and swelling in my face. Her office fit me into the schedule immediately today. Dr. Cecilio was amazing - she was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. She diagnosed my problem immediately and I received immediate relief from the symptoms I had been experiencing. She also addressed a prior surgery (an open rhinoplasty) I had that continues to still give me problems to this day and how we will correct the issues after my infection clears up.
