Instead of treating my wife with dignity and understanding her rights as a person with a disability accompanied by a service animal, the situation was handled in a way that made her feel singled out, embarrassed, and unwelcome. What made the experience even worse was the way the doctor communicated with us. We felt the conversation was manipulative and dismissive, and when we tried to explain our concerns and my wife's ADA rights, we felt like the situation was being twisted around rather than addressed professionally. A medical office should understand the basic rules surrounding service animals and the ADA. People with disabilities should not have to argue for basic respect and equal access simply because someone has an issue with the breed of their trained service dog. We left feeling disrespected and extremely disappointed. I strongly encourage this office and its staff to educate themselves on service-animal laws and how to appropriately treat patients with disabilities. No patient should be made to feel this way while seeking medical care.

My son has received the best care in this office…read more The staff and Dr. Rochelle are AMAZING! Lillian at the front desk was so helpful and reassuring with all my questions. Today my son came in for two fillings under oral sedation and use of laughing gas. The whole team made my son feel extremely comfortable which in turn had me feeling comfortable. My son has several allergies and had many previous reactions so I did come in a little anxious myself. As a manager in healthcare I always tell my staff that we need to treat our patients like family. At todays visit I felt just that from Dr. Rochelle and her team.

I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience with this dental office. I want to start by…read moresaying that previously I had not had any major issues with the office, although I had noticed that their procedures seemed to be priced on the higher side. Unfortunately, this experience completely changed my opinion. I paid a $300 deposit for my son's dental appointment. I did not cancel or miss the appointment. We showed up as scheduled, but my son was unable to cooperate, so the services were not performed. When we scheduled another appointment, I was required to pay another $300 deposit instead of having the original deposit applied. Ultimately, I lost $600 in deposits, despite the original treatment never being completed. I spoke directly with the dentist and explained the situation, hoping she would understand and work with me. I did not feel that she showed any sympathy for my situation whatsoever. She ended our call without telling me directly that the money would not be returned. Instead, she had her front desk contact me afterward to inform me that the deposit would not be refunded. I found that extremely disappointing, especially after I had spoken with her personally about my concerns. There was also a major lack of transparency regarding the anesthesia charges. The anesthesiologist told me the dental office had informed them that my son's procedure would take three hours, and I was being asked to pay the full anesthesia cost based on three hours. When I questioned the dentist directly, she told me she could actually complete the procedure in two hours. Had I simply paid what I was originally asked to pay without questioning it, I would have paid for an additional hour of anesthesia that apparently was not needed. That situation made me question the transparency of the entire billing process. Between losing $600 in deposits and discovering the discrepancy in the estimated anesthesia time, I no longer felt comfortable moving forward with this office. I tried to resolve this directly with the dentist before sharing my experience publicly, but unfortunately, nothing was resolved. I fully expect the office may respond to this review with an explanation or justification, but I wish that same effort had been put into actually resolving the issue with me when I contacted them directly. A response to a review does not change the fact that I lost $600 or address the concerns I raised. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend that parents get all deposit policies, procedure costs, estimated anesthesia times, and refund policies in writing before paying anything and ask all the questions you have.

Ya'll ready for a superhero/save the day story? Well, here it comes…read more So, Dr. Angie and the staff at Napa Pediatric Dentistry are absolutely amazing. I hope they all move to Illinois so I can have them be my kids peds dentist location. My family and I were in Santa Rosa for a family wedding. The wedding was on a Sunday and my 23 month old daughter was the flower girl in the wedding. Sunday morning at 7:30AM my poor girl tripped into a set of stairs and knocked several teeth loose (one horribly loose). After some emergency consultation on Sunday we knew we had to wait until Monday morning in order to attempt to have someone see us. I called atleast 2 dozen Dentists, peds dentists, and periodontists within a 30 mile radius on Monday morning and every location was either closed, docs were gone or they didn't see kids. I was lost. My baby girl was in pain. And I didn't know where to turn. Fortunately, Dr. Angie's office was recommended for me to contact by one of the practices that couldn't see me. It would be over an hour drive but after they heard about our situation they vowed to try and squeeze us in. Keep in mind they had a fully booked day and were short staffed. We made the drive and they squeezed us in between patients, all while respecting the appointments and privacy of their current patients (not an easy task to do! I was impressed). They did a visual examination of my daughters teeth and knew xrays were needed right away. After Xrays, it was apparent that a tooth needed to be pulled. My wife and I already knew this and so did Dr. Angie and the team, but proper examination was needed. My poor girls teeth looked rough and it had to be done before we headed home. Dr. Angie and her team exceeded any expectation of bedside manner, love, care, comfort, and expertise that I had walking in there that day. We completed the procedure and 10 minutes later, my daughter was visibly doing better. We are home now and she is a happy girl. We have to keep a close eye on the other affected teeth, but she would not be where she is if it wasn't for Dr. Angie and her team. If you all decide to move to Illinois, I will be the first to sign up my kids as your patients. You brought more than just care to my baby girl, you brought it to all of us. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

He was a bit hesitant when we walked in but the assistant (sorry I forgot her name) was so gentle, sweet, and really caring. I seriously thought he would be fighting the entire time and he literally let her look at his teeth with the mirror and all the tools without a fight/cry/whine! Hands down the best experience... FYI, it was his first dentist appointment!
