Note: This review is specific ONLY to the most recent time I came here. I felt like I needed to include the detailed review so everyone could understand that I am not just complaining because of a communication error or something that I was 'not happy' about that was a surprise. Summary: I'm literally aghast. Like, flabbergasted as to how someone can ruin a haircut when you specifically ask for a TRIM as WELL as show them pictures of THAT boy with his hair cut exactly how he wanted it, I am astounded. My son was crying. All he had to do was trim the cut that was already there??? School starts in 2.5 weeks & his hair looks insane. Yes, it will grow back, but you CANNOT fix it. Like, there's zero way to add hair back on before school starts. We asked for Timothee Chalamet and got Patrick Mahomes. Details: I called first and spoke to the receptionist - specifically stating that I needed my teen son's hair cut, that the last few places had cut it VERY poorly, and I wanted to make sure I was booked with someone who could cut men's curly 3A type hair. She told me the only person who cut men's hair was Andy & to book him online; come in, and then he would 'assess if he could cut it'. That struck me as VERY odd, but I trusted and did as instructed. I should have listened to my instinct. I have been to this place before to get my own hair cut, GRANTED it was pre-covid & years ago. I did have a great experience - which is why I was hoping they would be able to help & be able to cut my son's hair. We went in, and the first thing that struck me was that the salon was COMPLETELY empty. Like, no stylists OR customers on a weekday afternoon. I should have walked out. The shelves were even mostly bare, it was SO weird. I was very specific, said he wanted a trim, wanted to keep his hair long, and wanted to keep his curls. Showed him TWO different pictures. He said, "YEAH no problem!" Seemed super confident, ok GREAT. The receptionist said he would 'assess' if he could cut his hair. Flash forward to me being completely shocked & saying "Wow that is a LOT shorter than I thought you would go." Andy apologizing, discounting the cut, and my son tearing up on the way to the car saying how ugly his hair was and how short it is and how he didn't even realize Andy was cutting his hair so short. If you are going to ruin someone's hair, please have the decency to do it at a Supercuts or Great Clips and not a supposed upscale organic salon. read more

Just an update on the situation, they never contacted me and I never was refunded. My hair is just now 1.5 years later back to the length it was when I went to them. I already had trust issues when it came to my hair due to a couple other minor hair flops at other salons over my adult life, but now have severe trust issues and have not been to any salon since. There are were few salons who know what they are doing and are really good with it. I have curly hair and it's very hard to find a salon/ stylist who knows how to work curly hair. I took months to find this place and have not regretted it. The minute I walked in there was this positive vibe all over. My stylist Meghan has been the best I could have asked for. Not only she knows how to work on curly hair but the patience and the interaction she had with me was amazing. I am a new mom and have been experiencing hair fall and have literally no time to look after my hair. Meghan here spent her time patiently dealing with my messy hair and giving it a wonderful haircut. Plus this place deals with organic products which is definitely a plus on. All the stylists seemed experienced and very nice. The price is a little on the expensive side but it's worth it. This would definitely be my go to salon. read more

I have been going to Verde from the very beginning and it is sad to see its steady decline. I have had wonderful stylists, Maren, Megan and most recently Virginia. Over the years and different owners the salon has suffered from poor management. It isn't very clean, the reception while better lately was very bad with a very rude girl with her infant. It used to be so busy and bustling but now no one is ever there and there a very few stylists. I can't be sure that new ones will be trained in organic products. My current stylist has moved on and I will be too. The new prices are way too high for the atmosphere and experience of a once great high end salon. read more

I love this salon, I've been going here for years. There are very few organic salons around and this one is really nice. It's always clean and smells really good, no chemical smell at all. The products they use are also really nice, and have such a pretty smell too. I swear my hair is perfect for days after I leave there. Marchelle is my main girl, and she's awesome! Absolute horrible experience. Didn't get what I paid for, bad quality, unresponsive despite repeated contact, received an emailed receipt a month after my appointment, and unprofessional. Paid for a curly cut and full highlight. Ended up getting an okay cut and not even a partial highlight. Color was an inch away from my scalp, very chunky (not what I asked for) color, and only placed at the crown of my head. I contacted the salon within a week for a correction (per their policy), left a voicemail, and they never returned my call. I called again a week later, left another voicemail, and they didn't return that one either. Then, I contacted them through their website "contact us" form and again, they never responded. I paid top dollar for the worst color I have ever received and experienced the worst (non existent) customer service from a salon. I don't really write reviews, it's not really my thing, but if I can save one person from taking a chance on this salon then it is well worth it. Worst salon experience of my life. Had my hair colored and cut here up until I movedy (for almost a year)and I was happy with the service. Decided to come here because I was curious about their eco friendly color and how my hair would handle it. My hair seems to be very sensitive. I had been using "green" box color (from Sprouts or Whole Foods) for a few years and had been super happy with the color but now I wanted to go from dark to light for my wedding. I started the color change about 4 months prior to the wedding so we could slowly lighten my hair without damaging it. This was my first visit to Verde Salon. I was hoping to find someone who could style my fine, thin gray hair. Deborah listened carefully to what I wanted and worked magic with my hair. I could not be more pleased. The cut is so well done that my hair just falls back into place with a little brushing even on the 3rd day. Great products available too although they don't try to make you think you have to buy them. I liked the shampoo and conditioner so much that I did choose to purchase though. I have never expected that after 8 years of getting my business they would treat me with utter disrespect. May be it's time to either train your front desk in how to provide hospitality or it's time for a new front desk person. EXCELLENT service, quality, and hair color! Went from platinum blonde to strawberry blonde! My hair has never looked so amazing and it feels and looks so much healthier after my first visit. Jenna was my stylist and she gave me exactly what I was looking for based on the pictures I brought. I'm naturally a very light blonde, but with highlights my hair was pretty damaged and dry. She did a protein treatment which immediately helped and then I decided to go a strawberry blonde. She nailed it! Color looks natural, vibrant, and very healthy. The other stylists were extremely friendly and warm, very professional salon. The best part is the quality of the products. Everything is organic/natural so it was refreshing to take a break from ammonia and other harsh chemicals. They are focused on the actual health of your hair. I've been going to Verde for about 2 years and have yet to be disappointed. I get facials with Hayley about once a month and have seen a huge transformation in my skin. When I first started going to her, I told her I ultimately wanted smooth, firm, and hydrated skin. I thought my expectations were a little high but Hayley has transformed my skin giving me the results I was looking for. She is extremely knowledgable in eminence products and is always teachings me little tips and tricks in how to improve and simplify my skin routine further. She is amazing and I definitely suggest adding her monthly facials into your beauty regimen. Maren is a life saver with my hair, I don't know what I'd do without her. I went in today for a haircut and when I made the appointment, I asked for someone who can work with fine hair. I had some dietary changes which affected my hair and that combined with covid has led to hair fall. I requested Debra (the stylist) to give me a haircut that would help with the volume. I told her I wanted a haircut that would look tousled, shaggy and be low maintenance so I don't need to use heat tools. I wanted it at shoulder length. The cut she gave me barely grazed the shoulders and worst of all, she took away so much hair that it looked worse than when I walked into salon. I felt anxious at the salon, but I waited to go home before I panicked because sometimes the products they use makes my hair flat. I got home and washed with a shampoo to remove the product and blow dried with a volumizing product, but it looks so thin from mid length and look even more flat. I wanted a messy look and not a cut that makes my hair thinner. I'm upset and I can't even do anything about it. I don't recommend her and I won't be returning to this salon. read more

I made an appointment to lighten my hair. I am naturally a lever 5 (also color my hair for a deeper color) and wanted an all over lighter look. I go in and talk to Jenna my stylist about what I want and show her pictures I also explain I hate the full highlight look. She has the owner come over and we talk about a game plan to tackle my service. Ultimately resulting in a full highlight with ombré to break it up. Long story I ended up with only a full highlight/ toner. Also they had the assistant blow out my hair and it was half wet I was there over 4 hours for a full set of highlights!? and paid over $260-with out tip. OK, the owner told me the lightener couldn't break through the bottom to give me ombré look-which made absolutely no sense to me as they did a full set of highlights... but ok your the professionals. I went home to look through my hair and on the back the highlights they were an inch from my scalp which upset me as well. This isn't what I wanted..... So for my next appointment I call and explain I really do not like the look of the highlights and want ombré done to break it up. I get in no problem again I see Jenna and get my ombré done! Finally at the end of my service I get up and look and notice a whole lot of blonde in one spot. I say that's really light, her response is yes because that's we're I painted last time when we originally did the highlights.. I say well it's a lot does that look really bad? She re assures me no. I'm really hesitant and say Ok I pay $160- not including tip. I get home to show my husband and I pull my hair up in the back and it's literally one big chunk of light hair it looks horrible like a skunk! There are blotches through out the entire back of my hair and it looks like a beauty school student is trying to do it for the first time--- that's an understatement they could probably do a better job then what I had done to my hair. She is a LICENSED PROFESSIONAL STYLIST and was ok letting me leave looking this this! I would never ever let a client leave and have that be my representation of my work as a stylist. Also my blow dry was bad... So I am now booking an appointment at a different salon as I feel they are not listening to my concerns here. And ruined my hair. Christina is 5 stars - both for cut and color. She was off for a while so I tried someone else to fix a highlight (brassy vs. ash blonde). She said it was an easy fix and quoted a price. Then at the end of my process she said I'd need a toner for an extra $15 or wouldn't be happy with the result. I didn't appreciate paying for mixing my color incorrectly. Worse yet, it was still brassy. I tried to schedule someone else to fix it but was told I had to have the "easy fix" gal and didn't I know she is a "senior stylist"? I don't care if she's a Nasa Engineer - fix the brass. The receptionist said it can take two or three appointments to fix brassy highlights... a fact lost on the "senior stylist". :-) It's a good salon with good products but just fair customer service. read more
