Never trust this place with your dental needs. Front desk was disingenuous (they did not disclose the truth.) Front desk lacks the ability to understand the scenario and properly communicate. They lack the ability to think ahead. You can feel their frustrations spilling into the conversation because they screwed up and now they can't fix the issue. The doctor (McGrath) was not attentive and highly dismissive. His hygienist was awesome. A patient better double check and triple check that everything is above board or best go elsewhere cause the dental office does not care and will not do right. read more

I'd give them a negative star if I could. Too many issues here but the biggest is the rashness of the Drs. Child had filling done. So bad it got infected. Had a root canal done and they didn't clean it well enough or cap it so now it's infected again and need to go through a root canal. Front staff can't do their job and inform patients of costs and or changes it what their office covers. Dr K retires and no notice given prior to showing up. They nickel and dime you here. And their referrals never get checked to see if they are under your insurance . Save your money and go elsewhere read more

The office is aesthetically pleasing. Services are timely. The assistants are nice and professional. The dentists are mostly ok. However, I have had the worst experience with the lead dr Kimmerling. Never do I ever get resolute services from him. He is nice and friendly but but each time I have scheduled with him he talks through the appt about his work and reschedules me to get the work done that I requested. Usually the reschedule is with an outside dentist. Therefore I just paid him for nothing. What a waste of time and money. Two thumbs down. read more

I am extremely disappointed, yet again, in this office. Last year my husband and I both went in for appointments, had some additional work quoted and paid the amounts requested and got the work done. We then received a bill for more than double what we were originally quoted. When I spoke with someone, they made up some excuse about how our insurance plan was "odd" and covered less than expected, but they agreed to waive the additional amounts. One year later I decided to go back and give them another try....so I went back for a routine cleaning and x-rays with new insurance that they supposedly work with all the time....a few days later I received a bill for over $200...for a cleaning and x-rays. Insurance apparently would only pay $100 towards it so now I'm left with a $200 balance that "they can't do anything about because they wrote off last year's amount". Well, for a 45 minute cleaning and x-rays...$300 is absolutely ridiculous when you can go to pretty much any other dental office and get the exact same thing done for around $130. Not to mention that the actual dentist only stopped by for less than 60 seconds. So if you are looking for overpriced service, this is your place. Yes, they do have some "fancy" technology that they tout as "modern and top-of the line", but I value fair prices and transparency above some fancy equipment. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Dr. Kirk Kimmerling is a horrible human being. I went there several times and each time I was in excruciating pain for days. he chipped my crown and left it like that and didn't tell me and that chip caused a chip in the tooth above it. He filled a tooth and left it jagged on both sides so when I floss it rips the floss to shreds. He yelled at me, he berated me while in his chair. He's completely unstable. it appears, as long as you cater to his ego and allow him to feel like he's the best dentist who ever lived, he's perfectly happy but if you question him or challenge him in any capacity, he loses it. When I left his office in tears I googled him to try to understand who this person was, I couldn't understand why he treated me the way he treated me, it seemed so personal as though he were purposely trying to humiliate, degrade me and cause me physical pain After googling his name I found out the answer, he's not only a psychopath and a narcissist but he's a racist. Since I've gone to him I met other people who have been to his office and they actually told me their experience was similar. And ironically certain demographics say he's great while other demographics say he's horrible. This man should not be practicing any kind of medicine on anyone. He's just a horrible human being and I hope that he's exposed for the grotesque individual he is. And his staff should be ashamed of themselves there are enough women of color in that office to where they should be ashamed of themselves for working there. For enabling this man and allowing him to treat people the way he treats them. Three staff members heard him screaming at me and saw me crying and just stood there as He assaulted me. I was so traumatized it took me almost a year to trust another dentist. I still haven't decided if I'm going to sue them or not. after he screamed at me and ran out like a child, I turned on the recorder on my phone and recorded the next hour including another tirade where he insisted I could not feel the pain I could feel as I sat there crying. just trying to make it to the end of the procedure, afraid of what he might do to me while my tooth was exposed. I just had to put up with his attack until it was over. Even though I have it all on tape, mentally I'm just not prepared to address it yet because it was so degrading. But I will get there. he's really really a horrible human. and honestly, I think he's proud to be a racist. And if you notice, anybody who makes a comment on here about him being a racist gets no response from the office. I don't think they care one way or the other. ironically, I came to him because of his high tech equipment but after going to another dentist Who also had high-tech equipment, the new dentist who was excellent did five times the work that Kimmerling did and I realized that when it was all done, I did not even have to take a Tylenol...... but with Kimmerling I had to take prescription medication and be out of commission for a day after each procedure. I got a root canal done with Dr. Yoo in Roswell and I didn't even need a Tylenol. So not only is kimmerling a Narcissistic unstable racist sociopath but he's not even that great a dentist. read more

I grew up going to see Dr. Kimmerling and although they've always been perfect, I moved to the city and tried to find a closer dentist - boy, was that a mistake! I ran back to VPDA and they made sure to take care of me. I took for granted their wonderful staff, modern tools/equipment, speedy but efficient care, and generosity (free samples) and good advice. They're not greedy and put the patient first. Dr. Kimmerling has performed work on my whole family and we've never been disappointed. I had a bad experience at this office a few weeks ago. The office manager called me and apologized on behalf of the staff and dr. I decided to give it another go. Dr. Kimmerling was attentive and apologetic himself and really made me feel comfortable again. I truly love this office. Best dentist I have ever been to! The entire staff is wonderful and super sweet. I love my hygienist, Christine. She is so thorough and makes sure any issues I have are addressed. I had to have a lot of dental work done over the last 2 years, so I'm kind of a regular. lol I have not one single complaint that I can think of over the 10+ times I've walked through the doors over the past couple of years. Dr. Kimmerling is my regular doc and he is the BEST. He fixed so many issues caused by other dentists and explained everything to me about why their methods failed on my teeth. He is super knowledgeable and is involved in a ton of research, and that makes me excited to be his patient because he is constantly learning and evolving his own methods. I haven't had much experience with Dr. McGrath, but he has finished up a few of my fillings and I've never had any issues with them. My boyfriend sees him regularly and he likes him. With a mentor like Dr. Kimmerling, he's destined to be great. It's hard to look forward to a dentist's appointment, but the staff here do such a great job that you actually do just that. These days dental offices go above and beyond to display how "cool" or "upscale" their office looks. Surely, this office was fitting the right image about being all that.... However, then I was called in the back with a dental hygienist. I told her about the issue with my third molars for which she asked me for a x-ray, I told her when I booked the appointment I was told to come with the insurance card and photo ID, which I did (I assumed they will just take one there). But then she insisted that she needs it s the insurance can't pay for the panoramic one every we year...So as a patient had to do the run around by calling the previous dentist office because the front office staff and the hygienist wasn't capable for do so... ANYWAYS an hour later when I finally got the x-ray from previous dentist and went back, a dentist with the name of "Dr. McGrath" came in.... I told him all the symptoms and he missed completely that it WASNT an issue with the third molars as I suspected but was a different issue all together (oral surgeon figured that).. anyways. I was told to goto a oral surgeon to extract my teeth without any pain killer or antibiotic which is suppose to calm the pain down. Im not going to come back here, for a dentist to miss such an important detail is simply ridiculous... read more
