I started the process of getting a solar system in August 2025 with Verde Solar Power. We had a few hiccups along the way, but Dean worked with me to correct the issues. Fred and his crew showed up and did a very good job of installing the equipment. The latest hiccup was getting the approval from the county. Apparently, they are backed up big time. After some back and forth communications with Dominic, my project manager, he was able to get a temporary meter for me. Lisa showed up to install the meter and we were able to work through the final installation and power up procedures. It is now working and I am very happy with the results. The system powers my complete home, garage, and shop. We have had a few cloudy days recently (no rain to speak of :-( which is disappointing), but the panels have still produced enough power to charge the system, so it provides power most of the night. I signed a contract with Verde Solar Power on July 8, 2025. Granted, it does takes a while to get everything coordinated with APS, but Verde Solar had to return twice to correct errors. Once to put the inverter in the correct location and then again to rewire it correctly after APS inspected it and rejected it. I finally received Permission To Operate from APS on Dec 23rd, 2025. Unfortunately, I had a malfunctioning inverter. After two months of calling Verde Solar, finally getting a technician to come out, told it needed to be replaced and then being told they were waiting on the ticket, I finally took it upon myself to call the company that manufactured the inverter. I was told by a supervisor who after careful searching informed me that no ticket had been submitted for the serial number of my inverter. I asked them to call Verde Solar Power regarding this case. Two days later, on March 5th, I had a replacement inverter from a different manufacturer. The replacement inverter was a used one which was acceptable as long as I received the full manufacturer's warranty. However, for some reason, Verde Solar Power no longer had administrative access to this inverter preventing them from correcting the warranty dates or even indicating me as the owner. As of this date, April 15th, they still have no access. Meanwhile, I again took it upon myself to also contact this company directly. What followed was a month of chat lines, emails and sending documents to prove I was indeed the owner of this particular inverter which had recently been installed. During this period, VSP never called me to give me a progress report. I always had to call them, and always received the same message... "They were working on it." With zero assistance from Verde Solar, and with major effort and persistence on my part, the replacement inverter is now registered under my name and address, and the warranty period has been updated. My system is working well and I am receiving APS credits, but it took 9 1/2 months of constant texting and calling to get my system to be fully functional and properly registered, ...VERSUS just "completely installed." I will not be dealing with Verde Solar Power again. It is unfortunate that their previous professionalism and earlier success seems to no longer be applicable. If you are looking to have a solar system installed at your home, Verde Solar Power (VSP) in Cottonwood is the company you'll want to use. I have worked with VSP for ten years. The new VSP owners, Dean and Stephanie Kaliakmanis, are first class people. At Dean's recommendation, I upgraded my five-year old system from two SMA inverters and twelve BYD (Chinese sourced) batteries (30kW) to a single LuxPower EG4 inverter and seven Volt Bank batteries (36 kW). Dean's team of Matt, Chandler, Kevin and the team worked to "demo" the old system and install the new system while we were on a five-day vacation. Chandler "hot wired" our refrigerator as well as our wine fridge during the disconnect. When we returned, the new system was up and running in 100° afternoon. There tearable. First they are really bad at communications. With there customers. and they are really expensive. the guy that came out here didn't even really seem like he knew what he was doing. he was out here a long time. like most of the day on a job that he originally told me was about an hour or something. I can't remember for sure the time that he told me it would take to replace the inverter. That he told me originally before he started that it was a real short job. But like I said he was out here most of the day. and just complaind he missed getting to other appointments that day. and also told me there was an issue with the already existing electrical system . That was giving him the problem. Also he was on the phone a lot with someone trying to figure it out. he just didn't seem like he knew what he was doing. but he bragged to me about his skill level. He blamed his problem on the already existing electrical system that all the solar went through. I still don't believe the system is fully up 100%. And they won't even call me back. I am now getting a electric bill. which I have never gotten before. I've even always gotten credit back from APS. I don't believe that's going to happen again. and I may even take all this bad review I posted on them down delete it all if they would just at least talk to me. and usher me that it's running where it should be. and if not fix what the problem is. But Every time I talk to these people they say somebody will get back with me. and they never do. they have an off-grid monitoring system where they can monitor off site. but I don't believe they do. And the repair guy has told me they don't pay anybody tobsit and monitor peoples systems. but I know that they have that capability to monitor this system off site my response to the verdy solar just talk to me. maybe come back out and look at things if needed. I'm even ask them to give me an estimate on installing some batteries they haven't done that. We had Verde Solar install a sys on our house in 2021 and couldn't be happier with the results. They evaluated our house and our electrical needs and sized the system appropriately. Our electric bill from APS went from thousands of dollars a year to less than zero (we actually get a check from APS at the end of the year. From the initial evaluation to the final installation Verde Solar was very competent and professional. They handled all the permits, did everything up to code, used good quality component, provided us with the documents we needed to get the tax credits and gave us a comprehensive manual for the entire system. We can connect the system to the WiFi and monitor it from our phone. They estimated our financial 'break even' point would be about 7 years, but in reality it's going to be closer to 4-5 years. Our roofing company recommended Verde solar and hired them to remove and replace the solar for installation of our new roof. Damage was done to the roof upon reinstallation of the solar panels in the amount of $800. They came out, looked at the roof, said they would stand behind it and take care of . We paid them in full for their service in the amount of $5400. They have not stood behind what they said they would do they never return our calls. We contacted the owner, Mr. Collins, who's never called us back, so beware if you decide to work with them. read more

Verde Solar Power installed an 18 panel system a year ago. It's been working exactly as they said it would. I had several bids and their's was the best by a wide margin. Greg and Butch are totally customer focused and hands-on. They explain all options clearly and only do what you want and need. They are techincal experts, not salesmen! They also have more experience than anyone in northern AZ and it shows. They explained in simple terms all options for placement on my roof, for future-proofing the system, details about pushing and pulling from the APS grid, federal and AZ tax credits. They use your past electric bill to calculate how attractive solar power will be for your exact case. Once the system was installed they train you in how to monitor the system with a very cool phone app. They also gave me the option so if there is a power failure in Sedona, I can throw a switch to isolate my system from the grid and keep my house powered up. I got a few quotes for having solar panels installed on my house. Verde Solar Power came out to my house, reviewed different options with me, and had the best price. The installation was a bit complicated because we had most of the panels installed on our garage roof, and a trench had to be dug to bring the wires from the garage to our house. There were irrigation and septic lines that had to be cut and reconnected. Greg and the rest of his team did an excellent job, explained everything, did an excellent clean up, and were flexible when flexibility was required. read more

I got ripped off! At first, I thought they were great. They really screwed me over. While the solar that I purchased was on my home (this was not a lease.), they were great. Then I sold my home and I wanted to take my Solar with me. I was on time with all my payments, and I paid like clockwork for years, per our agreement. when I told them, I was selling my house and wanted to take my system with me, they told me they would store the Solar system free of charge. they said they would pick it up. My boyfriend had to remove it off the roof top because it was the day of closing and they still have not come by. Finally someone came by from this company in a van. I asked for a receipt, and the guy gave me a very sloppy hand, written itemization on a piece of cardboard. Long story short after the move. I started asking for my solar system.. They refused to give it to me and they said I owed some money. I asked him how much they said they didn't know. They said it was about $500. I paid the $500 and I kept asking for an accounting. I never got one until about a year later when I had to call the attorney generals office because they ignored all my certified letters. The attorney generals office said it was a civil matter, but the unsigned documents that they finally provided were modified because my agreement that I have proves the payments started a year prior plus the ISDA paid them $500. Verde solar falsely alleged that the payments started a year after my original agreement. Because of that, Verde Solar said I was in arrears but I was not. The attorney generals office told me I had to take it to court and I did not have the money I got ripped off I tried everything I could to make an arrangement and they refused. I had a lawyer send them a letter and they never even responded to that. The only time they responded was when I got the attorney general involved. I did not have the money to pursue it at the time and now the statute of limitations is probably run out. read more

Verde Solar Power is amazing! We heard about solar and started to see it on homes here and there, but just wasn't sure. We figured if it was a really good deal, we couldn't afford it. Then I met the owner Greg and he answered of our questions and then we came back with more question. Their whole staff was amazing and answered all of our questions and it was much less money then we thought. We still weren't convinced and called several other solar folks for estimates to compare with. It was a real rocky road to get any information out of any of them. They wanted me to lease, or how much can I pay monthly? So eventually I received a few quotes and Verde Solar was so much less, and the best part was there local and not from some big corporation out of another state. So we said yes to Verde Solar. They were prompt and we have been thrilled. Our electric bills have not gone over $14.00 a month for over three years now. We used to pay as much as $450 per month in the summer. Now our home is 74 degrees during the day and 65 at night. We love Verde Solar Power, and would, and do recommend them to anyone that is ready to give up handing over all their hard earned money! read more
